Abstract

As is known, the impact caused by El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) and the Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) can reach extreme levels, especially rainfall in Indonesia. So, updating information on events and cycles of these phenomena is essential. Using Sea Surface Temperature (SST) data spanning the previous 84 years (1940–2023) from ERA5, we examined Sea Surface Temperature Anomalies (SSTA), which serve as a predictive tool for ENSO and IOD events. Apart from that, in this research, SSTA variance analysis was also carried out using Wavelet. The analysis results show several Positive IOD-Like events (1943, 1944, 1977, 1996) and Negative IOD-Like (1985, 1992, 2016). Apart from that, the results of this research also show that El Niño in 2002/03 coincided with Negative IOD in 2002. The results of Wavelet analysis show that the SSTA DMI variance experienced increased activity in the periods 1940-1968, 1969-1991, and 1992-2023. The Wavelet analysis also shows that ENSO activity increased in 1970-2000 and decreased again in 2000-2023.

Abstract

Changes in rainfall patterns have a significant impact on agriculture and water management in arid regions such as Nusa Tenggara. Water availability in this region is highly dependent on rainfall, which is influenced by global climate phenomena such as El-Niño and the Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD). This study aims to analyze the characteristics of rainfall patterns and analyze the relationship between rainfall and the El-Niño and IOD phenomena. Daily rainfall data from three BMKG observation stations in West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara during the period 1983-2022 were used in the analysis. The Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) method is used to identify periodic cycles, while the Pearson correlation test is used to determine the relationship of rainfall with El-Niño and IOD. The analysis shows that the Nusa Tenggara region is characterized by a monsoonal rainfall pattern with an annual cycle (12 months). Peak rainfall occurs in January and December, while the dry season lasts from July to September. The correlation of rainfall with El-Niño shows a weak negative relationship, while the influence of IOD is very small and varies between locations. The analysis shows that the rainfall pattern in the Nusa Tenggara region is monsoonal with an annual cycle (12 months) and semi-annual cycle (6 months). The peak of rainfall occurs from December to January, while the dry season lasts from July to September. The relationship between rainfall and El-Niño shows a weak negative correlation, so that when El-Niño increases, rainfall tends to decrease, and vice versa. The influence of IOD on rainfall is very small and varies between locations. Overall, while both El-Niño and IOD affect rainfall, their impact in the region is weak and more significant when both phenomena occur together.

Abstract

Permainan tradisional cak ingkling dari Sumatera Selatan tidak hanya menghibur, tetapi juga berperan penting dalam penguatan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan penguatan karakter gotong royong pada peserta didik melalui permainan tradisional Cak Ingkling. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur dengan teknik pengumpulan data dan sumber data yang didapatkan dari buku referensi dan jurnal yang relevan dengan masalah penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa permainan cak ingkling mengandung karakter gotong royong yang merupakan salah satu karakter yang mewakili sila ketiga Pancasila, yaitu Persatuan Indonesia seperti kerjasama tim, menerima perbedaan, kesadaran akan tanggung jawab, dan solidaritas serta empati. Karakter gotong royong menjadi landasan moral dan etika dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat, sehingga generasi muda Indonesia dapat tumbuh menjadi orang yang tidak hanya cerdas secara intelektual, tetapi juga memiliki jiwa sosial yang kuat dan semangat gotong royong yang besar.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang inovatif dan menarik melalui penggunaan permainan tradisional dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan dan Kewarganegaraan (PKn) merupakan hal yang perlu dilakukan dalam membangun karakter dan identitas yang kuat. Atas dasar hal itu, kajian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah pengimplementasian pembelajaran PKn pada permainan tradisional lompat karet Universitas Sriwijaya Palembang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian literatur ini adalah studi literatur. Peneliti melakukan pencarian dan analisis dari berbagai sumber literatur yang relevan dengan permainan tradisional lompat karet. Sumber-sumber literatur ini mencakup artikel, buku, jurnal, dan dokumen lain yang membahas tentang implementasi dan manfaat permainan tradisional. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif, di mana peneliti membandingkan, mensintesis, dan menarik kesimpulan berdasarkan temuan-temuan yang ditemukan dari literatur. Hasil kajian menunjukkan Upaya internalisasi permainan tradisional lompat karet dalam implementasi pembelajaran PKn sangat berpotensi dalam mendorong peningkatan praktik falsafah Pancasila yang aktual dan dekat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari mulai nilai ketuhanan, penghargaan atas teman (manusia), rasa persatuan, musyawarah, dan perilaku adil. Potensi ini secara luas dapat dijadikan media dalam memperkuat jati diri sebagai bangsa Indonesia dan mempertahankan nilai-nilai budaya sehingga membangun karakter dan jati diri berupa cinta tanah air dan mengingat kebudayaan Indonesia melalui permainan tradisional lompat karet. Potensi keterlibatan dan integrasi nilai kearifan pada permainan tradisional dalam pembelajaran PKn harus dimaksimalkan melalui agenda-agenda yang lebih terstuktur, sistematis, dan masif di seluruh tingkatan satuan pendidikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi strategi pengoptimalan penerapan metode 5S (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, dan Shitsuke) dalam pengelolaan laboratorium sekolah menengah serta dampaknya untuk meningkatkan sikap ilmiah siswa. Melalui tinjauan literatur yang sistematis menggunakan pedoman PRISMA, kami mencari berbagai artikel dan penelitian terdahulu yang bersumber dari Google Scholar, ScienceDirect. Dari 150 artikel yang ditemukan, 28 penelitian yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan layak ditinjau. Kajian ini mengidentifikasi hubungan antara keteraturan laboratorium dan pengembangan keterampilan ilmiah. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa implementasi 5S secara konsisten meningkatkan efisiensi praktikum, membangun budaya kerja yang sistematis, serta memperkuat sikap ilmiah seperti ketelitian, keterbukaan terhadap bukti, dan pemikiran kritis. Tantangan seperti keterbatasan tenaga laboran, minimnya pemahaman tentang prinsip 5S, serta kurangnya pembinaan budaya kerja masih menjadi hambatan dalam optimalisasi metode ini. Strategi edukasi, mentoring, serta integrasi teknologi dalam manajemen laboratorium dapat memastikan efektivitas metode 5S dalam mendukung pembelajaran sains. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan bagi pengelola pendidikan dalam merancang kebijakan yang mendukung pembentukan budaya kerja ilmiah dan peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran berbasis eksperimen.

Abstract

Pendidikan memiliki peran krusial dalam perkembangan negara, terutama dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan bangsa. Pendidikan bertujuan untuk menjadikan bangsa yang berbudaya dan beradap dengan menanamkan nilai kepedulian, kecerdasan, dan kepekaan terhadap negara dan bangsa.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi konsep dan penerapan sistem among dalam pendidikan karakter menurut pemikiran Ki Hadjar Dewantara, serta implikasinya di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka atau kajian literatur dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dari berbagai sumber, termasuk karya-karya tulis Ki Hadjar Dewantara sebagai sumber primer, serta buku, jurnal, dan artikel ilmiah yang relevan sebagai sumber sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem among mengedepankan prinsip asah, asih, dan asuh, serta menekankan peran guru sebagai teladan yang menginspirasi dan fasilitator pembelajaran. Dalam penerapannya di sekolah dasar, sistem among berfokus pada pengembangan potensi individu siswa melalui kebebasan belajar yang dipandu oleh guru. Pendidikan karakter dalam sistem among melibatkan integrasi nilai-nilai moral seperti kebenaran, kejujuran, dan kasih sayang dalam seluruh kegiatan sekolah, baik di dalam maupun di luar kelas. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa sistem among dapat memberikan fondasi yang kuat bagi pengembangan karakter siswa, membekali mereka dengan nilai-nilai moral yang relevan untuk kehidupan di abad ke-21, serta menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang humanis dan inspiratif.

Abstract

This research aims to develop practical guidelines for the Van de Graaff Generator on Static Electricity for Students that are valid and practical. This research uses research and development research methods with the Rowntree development model. The Rowntree development model is product-focused, consisting of three stages: planning, development, and evaluation. At the evaluation stage using, Tessmer's formative evaluation, namely self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, and small group evaluation. This research collected data in two ways: walkthrough and student response questionnaires. The results of the two methods are then analyzed by finding the average percentage value and converted according to the predetermined category. Based on the results of the expert review, it was found that the average overall aspect was 90.80% which was categorized as very valid. At the one-to-one evaluation stage, an assessment of student responsiveness was obtained of 81.67%, categorized as practical. Furthermore, in the small group evaluation stage, the results of student responses were obtained by 87% in the very practical category. Thus, based on the results of the research, the Van de Graaff Generator (GVG) practicum guide on Static Electricity for Physics Education Students is very valid and practical.

Abstract

A valid and practical STEM-based introduction to quantum physics module has been successfully developed. The module development uses a modified Rowntree development model consisting of three stages: the planning stage, the development stage, and the evaluation stage. Tessmer's formative evaluation was carried out at the evaluation stage, including self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, and small group evaluation. Data collection techniques used walkthrough data and questionnaire data. The results of the expert review show that the EVR value from the experts is 88.1%. In the one-to-one evaluation stage, the HEOS value from student responses to the use of this module is 88.6% (efficient type). The module was revised into prototype two and re-tested apart from these two stages. In the small group evaluation trial, the HEOS score from student responses using this module is 93.0%. Thus, based on the study results, it is concluded that the developed module (teaching material) is valid and practical.

Abstract

In science learning there are many important concepts that must be understood. The solar system is a complex and abstract material because it cannot be seen directly by human senses resulting in students experiencing misconceptions.  Interactive learning media is needed to help students understand concepts. One of the learning media that can be applied is augmented reality based on dry lab simulation. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using Dry Lab simulation to overcome misconceptions of earth and solar system material in junior high school. This research uses experimental research methods with Pre-experimental research models. The overall research results, the average effectiveness was 45.16%, which showed less effective results. Partially for the two sub-concepts of planets and solar and lunar eclipses, the average effectiveness is 65.5%, which shows that the dry lab simulation is effective in changing students' misconceptions

Abstract

Critical thinking and concept mastery is an important ability for every student to have. So, educators need to get information about the level of skills possessed by student. This study aims to describe the initial level of critical thinking skills and mastery of students' concepts, as well as the relationship between critical thinking skills and mastery of students' concepts on earth structure material in class VIII at SMP Negeri 2 Namang. The methodology used in the research is descriptive quantitative, using a critical thinking ability test and concept mastery test, and qualitative, using interviews. Students' critical thinking and concept mastery tests showed an average score of 43.78 and 55.94, with a fairly low category. The average value of the inference indicator was 25.97, and the indicator of making further explanations was 37.01. Both are the lowest indicators that still need to be improved. In contrast, the average value of the strategy and tactics indicator is 73.95, which is in the high category. The significance value obtained is <0.001, which indicates that there is a strong, significant, and directly proportional relationship between critical thinking skills and concept mastery, with a correlation coefficient value of 0.803. The results of the interview show the low enthusiasm of students in learning the structure of the earth due to the lack of a variety of media used and test questions that are not used to being done.
