Abstract

Introduction: Stunting, characterized by impaired child growth, results from multiple factors including inadequate nutrition. Fresh cow's milk, rich in essential nutrients, offers a viable solution. Currently, fresh cow's milk products are deposited to BUMDES with a relatively low purchase price and limited consumer market reach. Currently, fresh milk is only stored and sold through the village-owned enterprise (BUMDES), but demand is low due to its smell and taste, as well as the lack of public awareness about the benefits of fresh milk. Therefore, a high-nutrient processed fresh milk product has been developed as an alternative dessert to support the prevention of stunting in children. Methods: Counseling was conducted on the benefits, processing, and proper storage of fresh milk, as well as a demonstration of making Silky Strawberry Milk. The methods used were lectures and a hands-on demonstration of Silky Strawberry Milk production. The activity was carried out on March 16, 2024, at the Blimbing Village, Kediri Regency. It was attended by 28 participants. Pretest-posttest evaluations confirmed significant improvement in participants' knowledge regarding milk nutrition and processing methods. Results: Silky Strawberry Milk was distributed to participants. They loved its delicious taste, fresh aroma, and attractive colour. This product is expected to increase milk consumption to prevent stunting through better nutrition. Conclusion: Silky Strawberry Milk has been well received by the public due to its delicious taste and attractive appearance. This product has the potential to increase milk consumption and prevent stunting through improved child nutrition.

Abstract

Chronic Renal Failure (CKD) is a disease that occurs when the kidneys fail to maintain the body's fluid composition. Hemodialysis is one of the therapies to replace deteriorating kidney function. Deteriorating kidney function conditions cause the ability of erythropoietin to be disrupted and anemia occurs, so checking hemoglobin levels is useful to control the patient's hemoglobin levels and creatinine examination to detect the severity of kidney function disorders. This study aims to determine the relationship of hemodialysis therapy with hemoglobin and creatinine levels in CKD patients at Baptist Hospital, Kediri City. This study is important to obtain information and provide education to patients regarding the significant effect of hemodialysis therapy for chronic renal failure patients so that chronic renal failure patients are motivated and disciplined to carry out hemodialysis therapy according to a set schedule. The design of this study was a cross-sectional survey with independent variables being hemodialysis therapy in patients with chronic renal failure and dependent variables being hemoglobin and creatinine levels. 30 respondents were using the quota sampling method. The results of this study were the average examination results of hemoglobin levels of 9.0 g/dL and creatinine of 4.45 mg/dL. Based on the Pearson Correlation test, the correlation coefficient (r) is 0.369, and the p-value = (0.045) > alpha = 0.05 (5%), thus H1 is accepted. The relationship between hemoglobin and creatinine levels in patients with chronic renal failure undergoing therapy hemodialysis at Baptist Hospital in Kediri City.

Abstract

This research aims to compare Carol Dweck's Growth Mindset Theory and Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences Theory in the context of developing individual potential. The study utilizes literature review and comparative analysis as the research method to compare the two theories. In the pursuit of optimizing individual potential, the growth mindset emphasizes the importance of a developing mindset, viewing failures as opportunities for learning, and creating a supportive learning environment. On the other hand, multiple intelligences theory acknowledges the diversity of intelligences and advocates for the development of all types of intelligence in education. In inclusive modern education, the application of both theories can motivate students to grow and learn, develop self-confidence, and optimize their potential in various areas of intelligence. Through this approach, modern education can create a stimulating environment, facilitate holistic development, and produce individuals who are prepared to face future challenges. By understanding the differences and similarities between these two theories, education can adopt an inclusive approach that focuses on the full development of each individual's potential, ensuring that students are empowered to achieve academic success and optimal personal growth.
