Abstract

The knowledge and skills of workers acquired through training have become essential in dealing with the increasingly rapid changes in technology, products, and systems. The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between training and employee performance in a company. In the review presented in this article, the focus is mainly on research published in many reputable national and international journals that is in accordance with the studies in this article, namely human resource management. A type of qualitative research, a type of literature research, is a systematic review of the literature using the appropriate methodological approach. It is used inductively so that it does not raise further questions. This study provides a review of the literature on employee training and its effect on performance in firms and develops and proposes a framework for analyzing training and corporate performance issues to assess the strengths and weaknesses of many previous studies (e.g., research design, variable measurement, and firm performance or estimation methods), to suggest directions for future research, and to improve the accuracy of the results of future research on this topic.

Abstract

The amount of rice production in Indonesia every year is always increasing. The results of the rice mill produce waste material, namely husks. Along with the increase in rice production, the amount of rice husk waste has also increased. The purpose of this service is to assist the community in utilizing husk waste to make a useful product. The approach used in implementing the KKN program for the people of Jagapura Kulon Village, Gegesik District, Cirebon Regency, is a Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) with five stages of design thinking. The dedication results show that the shoe rack and sandals that will be made use eco-friendly materials that use the waste from rice husks. The culture of reuse, reduce and recycle must also be applied to organic waste to reduce the use of new materials or materials. The manufacture of shoe and sandal racks is also expected to reduce the felling of trees used to make conventional shoe racks made of wood. Through RASENDAL products, we can reduce the use of new materials using unused waste.

Abstract

Emotional intelligence plays a crucial role in fostering students' ability to manage emotions and navigate interpersonal conflicts effectively. This study examines the impact of emotional intelligence counseling on enhancing self-control among elementary school students when dealing with conflicts. The research aimed to identify the effectiveness of a structured counseling intervention in improving students' emotional regulation and conflict resolution skills. A quasi-experimental method with a pre-test and post-test control group design was employed. The sample consisted of 60 elementary school students selected through purposive sampling, divided equally into experimental and control groups. Data were collected using self-control questionnaires, conflict observation sheets, and structured interviews. The results indicated a significant improvement in self-control among students who participated in emotional intelligence counseling compared to those in the control group. Participants demonstrated enhanced emotional regulation, reduced impulsive behaviors, and improved ability to resolve conflicts constructively. The findings suggest that integrating emotional intelligence counseling into school programs effectively supports the development of students’ social-emotional skills.

Abstract

The main goal of the study is to analyze how technology readiness, instructional leadership, and workload management together influence teacher performance. The researchers have pointed out the necessity of teaching professionals in the digital era to be not only trained but also paid well, which will be the case when the teachers take the lead in the learning process. The study was designed as a quantitative explanatory research method involving the participation of 150 teachers who were chosen intentionally. Data collection was done through a five-point Likert scale questionnaire while multiple linear regression analysis was the statistical method used. The research tool was initially subjected to validation, reliability testing with Cronbach's Alpha, and classical assumptions before analysis. The findings indicated that each of the three independent variables significantly and positively affected teacher performance. Theoretical implications of the research have reached the area of educational management and human resources in education. The practical implications of the research, on the other hand, indicate that there are school strategies to enhance teacher performance in terms of technology, instructional leaders, and managing workload.

Abstract

Speaking fluency remains a persistent challenge for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners, particularly at the secondary school level, where students often experience disruptions in speech flow due to difficulties in transforming conceptual intentions into coherent spoken output. These disruptions not only affect linguistic accuracy but also hinder real-time communication and discourse coherence. This study aimed to investigate how targeted pedagogical interventions, specifically idea chunking rehearsals and partner listening journals, could reconstruct speaking flow disruptions and enhance fluency and coherence among Indonesian high school EFL students. Adopting a process-oriented qualitative research approach grounded in theories of cognitive fluency and discourse organization, the study analyzed students’ spoken performance before and after the interventions. Data were collected through audio-recorded spontaneous and integrated speaking tasks administered during classroom activities. Qualitative discourse analysis was employed to identify recurring types of speaking disruptions, including hesitation clustering, disconnected nominal references, and collapsed verb chains. The findings indicated that students were able to internalize the targeted strategies, leading to improved real-time message planning, monitoring, and delivery. Pedagogically, the findings suggest that integrating process-based fluency interventions into speaking instruction can help learners manage cognitive load during speech production. These results offer practical implications for EFL teachers and curriculum designers seeking to address fluency development through cognitively informed and classroom-applicable strategies.

Abstract

This qualitative study investigated the transformative experiences of pre-service English teachers during microteaching at two private universities in North Sumatra, Indonesia. Involving a purposive sample of 14 Indonesian pre-service teachers, data were collected through teaching journals, classroom observations, audio-visual recordings, and stimulated recall interviews. Thematic analysis was used, guided by Vygotsky’s ZPD, Schon’s reflective practice, and Wenger’s comunicative practices theory. Findings revealed shifts from routine teaching to adaptive, student-centered strategies characterized by pedagogical adjustment, reflective awareness, and instructional skill refinement. Participants showed increased sensitivity to timing, language accuracy, emotional climate, and sociocultural engagement. The study highlighted microteaching as a dynamic platform for identity formation and pedagogical growth. The research offered critical insights into teacher development and suggested future studies with broader contexts to capture sustained transformation in English education.

Abstract

Schools in Indonesia increasingly reflect a multicultural social reality characterized by religious, ethnic, cultural, and linguistic diversity. In this context, character education is often positioned as a key instrument for strengthening tolerance. However, character education practices are not always effective when implemented normatively and uniformly without considering the social dynamics of multicultural schools. This study aims to analyze strategies for strengthening tolerance values through character education in multicultural school settings and to explore the social and pedagogical dynamics shaping students’ tolerance. A qualitative approach was employed using in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis in schools with a clear multicultural background. The findings indicate that character education is effective when implemented contextually and dialogically through the integration of tolerance values into daily learning, cross-identity social interactions, and inclusive school culture. Teachers act as value mediators, while tolerance is constructed through social negotiation rather than value indoctrination. Nevertheless, the implementation of multicultural character education faces structural challenges, including differences between family and school values, implicit bias, limited teacher capacity, and symbolic policy implementation. This study highlights the importance of reflective and adaptive approaches in character education to sustainably strengthen tolerance in multicultural school contexts.
