Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using Quizizz media within the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning approach on improving students’ learning outcomes in the Fiqh subject among tenth-grade students at MA Masalikil Huda. Specifically, the objectives of this research are: (1) to explain how the implementation of Quizizz can enhance student interaction and engagement during the learning process, and (2) to examine the extent to which the TGT method influences students’ academic achievement. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, involving two evaluation stages: pretest and posttest. Data were collected through learning achievement tests and analyzed using the Paired Sample t-Test and simple linear regression test with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics 26. The results revealed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores, with an increase in the average learning outcome from 72 to 80 and a significance value of 0.014 < 0.05. These findings demonstrate that the integration of Quizizz media within the TGT method effectively enhances students’ understanding, motivation, and active participation in Fiqh learning. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of adopting technology-based and collaborative learning innovations to create more interactive, effective, and meaningful learning experiences within the Islamic educational context.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited number of studies that specifically examine the role of literacy classes in strengthening santri’s public speaking skills in Islamic boarding schools, despite the importance of this skills for santri as future preachers and agents of social change. This study aims to describe the implementation of religious literacy classes and analyze their role in enhancing santri’s public speaking skills at Pondok Pesantren Darussa’adah 3 Bugel, Jepara. The study employed a qualitative, field-based design. The participants included the pesantren leader, the literacy class teacher, and some students who also supervises khitobah activities, and santri involved in the literacy program, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using thematic analysis. The results indicate that religious literacy classes play a strategic role in improving santri’s confidence, courage, and readiness for communication through the integration of literacy activities and khitobah practice. This study concludes that religious literacy classes can serve as an effective model for developing public speaking skills in an Islamic boarding school. The implications of this study suggest that literacy-based learning can be adopted as a practical strategy to enhance students’ communication competence in similar educational contexts.

Abstract

Problem Based Learning (PBL) merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran aktif yang dapat meningkatkan literasi dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui pemecahan masalah. Pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam (SKI) memerlukan strategi pembelajaran inovatif untuk mendorong siswa aktif membaca, menganalisis peristiwa sejarah, serta memahami nilai-nilai Islam secara bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi Problem Based Learning dalam meningkatkan literasi siswa pada pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam di MA Hasyim Asy’ari Bangsri Jepara serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam penerapannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian lapangan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan kepala madrasah, guru SKI, dan siswa. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data dijaga melalui triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi PBL dalam pembelajaran SKI dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu diskusi kelompok, menggunakan mind mapping unuk memetakan ide dan memvisualisasikan hubungan antar konsep masalah dan media pembelajaran card sort untuk mencari solusi atas masalah yang diberikan. Penerapan PBL mendorong siswa untuk aktif membaca materi, menganalisis peristiwa sejarah Islam, serta meningkatkan kemampuan literasi melalui pembelajaran kolaboratif. Faktor pendukung meliputi kompetensi guru, ketersediaan sumber belajar, partisipasi siswa, dan dukungan sekolah, sedangkan faktor penghambat meliputi keterbatasan waktu pembelajaran, perbedaan kemampuan siswa, serta keterbatasan dalam mengaplikasikan teknologi digital.
