Abstract

Students who memorize the Qur'an in carrying out their duties on campus and in Islamic boarding schools simultaneously make students inconsistent with the process of memorizing the Qur'an. It takes motivation and self-concept to minimize procrastination by knowing self-image through experiences from interactions with the environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of self-concept, motivation, procrastination in students who memorized the Qur'an and the relationship between self-concept and procrastination, motivation and procrastination, as well as self-concept and motivation with delays in memorizing students. The method used is quantitative with a purposive sampling technique. The research sample amounted to 58 people. The scale used is CVR (Content Validity Ratio) and then analyzed using Pearson correlation calculations. The results showed a negative and significant relationship between self-concept and memorization procrastination. This is indicated by the correlation coefficient (rxy) of -0.536 with p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). The higher the self-concept of students, the lower the procrastination of memorizing students. While the results of the study between memorization motivation and memorization procrastination showed a positive correlation. This is indicated by the correlation coefficient (rxy) of 0.461 with p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). These results indicate no significant correlation between memorization motivation and memorization procrastination.

Abstract

Various programs were developed by the company to improve the capacity of women leaders. However, on the other hand, the factor of family support, especially the husband support, has so far been neglected in scientific research related to women leaders. Therefore, this study aimed to understand the role of husband support in the personal growth of women leaders. This study used a phenomenological qualitative approach, using semi-structured interviews with 6 women leaders. The results show that what motivates women leaders in their personal growth initiative is wanting to get out of their comfort zone, being challenged to become useful people, and having a clear career path. Besides, forms of support such as not complaining a lot, providing real assistance, providing solutions or information, providing emotional support, and giving space for the women to be alone or free to do things are forms of support needed by women leaders in Indonesia. Moreover, jealous husbands and husbands who forbid and demand many things are felt to inhibit the personal growth initiative of women leaders. Furthermore, the husband's dominant role so far is to support the personal growth initiative process.

Abstract

Adi Husada Kapasari Hospital is one of the companies that is engaged in the field of health care services which prioritize the development of human resources to achieve strategic objectives of the company. Relating to the company's priorities, Adi Husada Kapasari Hospital require a good performance appraisal systems, including for employee of Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The Development of a competency-based performance appraisal is one of the alternatives to evaluate employees performance objectively. Competency-based performance appraisal performance appraisal is based on the competencies that is needed in order to make the job can be implemented effectively which the  criterias of the assessment obtained from the job descriptions and the job specifications. In other words, a competency-based performance appraisal want to connect whether the competency of an employee can meet the demands of a position or a job, so it can be performed well. The Competency mapping which conducted in the job analysis successfully identified a number of competencies of each position in the intensive care unit, which divided into core competencies, general competencies , and specific competencies. The combination of three kinds of competence is referred to as the competency profile. The Competency profile of each position becomes the performance assessment criteria that will be used to evaluate performance each of the incumbent.

Abstract

Parasocial interaction is an illusion of intimacy with idol figures or media characters. This literature review aims to examine the phenomenon of parasocial interaction and its relation to adolescents; how the characteristics of the participants in the article, the measuring tools used, and the determinant factors. The research method used is a systematic literature review. Article searches were conducted online with the keywords “parasocial interactions” and/or “adolescents”. A total of 20 articles during the period 2013-2022 were used from Scopus, Proquest Dissertation, Sage Journals and ScienceDirect. The results of this literature review show that the research participants are teenagers, both boys and girls in various countries. The measuring instrument in the quantitative approach uses a parasocial interaction questionnaire that has been tested by previous research and has been modified according to the research context. In the qualitative approach, the methods chosen were interviews and focus group discussions. Parasocial interaction is one way for adolescents to form their self-identity and relationship expectations in the real world. Factors that influence parasocial interactions in adolescents include age, gender, media exposure, and character stereotypes. The results of this literature review can serve as a reference for other researchers who are interested in investigating parasocial interactions and their impact on adolescents.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap data tentang model pengembangan kompetensi pedagogik guru MTs di Kabupaten Sampang. Landasan teori dalam penelitian ini, peneliti merujuk kepada beberapa konsep yaitu: kompetensi guru MTs, pendidikan dan pelatihan sebagai upaya meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru MTs, upaya dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus. Kriteria informan dalam penelitian ini yaitu staff kementerian agama, kepala sekolah dan beberapa guru MTs yang mengikuti pendidikan dan pelatihan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dengan wawancara dan data sekunder. Hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa pengembangan kompetensi pedagogik guru yang dilakukan oleh Pemerintah Kabupaten Sampang yaitu  perencanaan pengembangan diri berdasarkan evaluasi diri terhadap kemampuan guru, melaksanakan pengembangan kompetensi pedagogik guru MTs melalui berbagai kegiatan pelatihan, workshop, seminar, diskusi, lokakarya, mendatangkan pakar, pertemuan rutin antar guru terkait dengan tema dan aspek manajemen pembelajaran, serta aktif melakukan penelitian untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pengembangan kompetensi guru yang telah dilakukan berdampak positif bagi kualitas kinerja guru dan berdampak pada pencapaian hasil belajar siswa, baik akademik maupun non akademik. Saran yang dapat diberikan adalah pemerintah harus tegas dan sekolah harus bisa lebih selektif dalam merektrut tenaga pendidik yang berkompetensi agar mecapai tujuan sesuai harapan kependidikan pemerintah Indonesia.

Abstract

Masyarakat Pendalungan adalah contoh kecil dari bangsa Indonesia yang memiliki banyak ragam suku bangsa, dengan banyak pula latar belakang budayanya. Masyarakat Pendalungan berlatar dua kultur yang memiliki banyak perbedaan walau berasal dari satu rumpun yang sama, yaitu kultur Jawa dan kultur Madura. Walaupun kultur Madura adalah sub-kultur dari kultur Jawa namun diantara keduanya terdapat perbedaa-perbedaan mendasar. Dua kultur tersebut berakulturasi menjadi Pendalungan. Penelitian kualitatif ini merupakan penelitian pendahuluan yang melibatkan 3 orang informan dan beberapa ahli. Lokasi penelitian ini adalah di daerah Kabupaten Jember dan daerah kabupaten Lumajang, Jawa Timur, Indonesia. Dari penelitian ini didapatkan beberapa hal yang merupakan bukti-bukti bahwa masyarakat Pendalungan melakukan adaptasi untuk mengatasi perubahan yang terjadi dan mengurangi tekanan akulturasi yang datang dari adanya pertemuan budaya Jawa dan Madura. Adaptasi tersebut akhirnya berpengaruh pula pada identitas sosial individu. Strategi akulturasi yang dipergunakan untuk beradaptasi oelh masyarakat Pendalungan juga memunculkan adanya budaya baru sebagai peleburan dari budaya yang sudah ada.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the collective identity formation of Kelompok Pantai Lestari (KPL) as the mangrove conservation movement. This study employed a qualitative method with a constructivist grounded theory. The subjects of this study were 4 peoples who are the founders of KPL. Data were collected using in-depth interviews and analyzed through the steps from open, axial, and selective codings to the creation of a conceptual model of the collective identity formation in a mangrove conservation movement. The social representation theory was used as the framework that guided the data analysis. The results show that the foundation of the KPL as a conservation movement was related to the production of social knowledge among existing conservation groups on the importance of ecological values for improving welfare. KPL has been playing major role in producing local wisdom on environmental conservation and advocating the making of local regulations which put scientific knowledge into practice. The KPL’s mangrove conservation initiatives indicates that coastal communities have the potential to become a thinking society in environmental preservation; thus, it can be a reference for social engineering in environmental conservation that emphasizes on the collective action and identity. Keywords: Collective identity, conservation, social movement, social representation   Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami pembentukan identitas kolektif pada Kelompok Pantai Lestari KPL) sebagai gerakan konservasi mangrove. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode constructivist grounded theory. Subjek penelitian adalah pendiri KPL berjumlah 4 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan dianalisis mengikuti tahapan pengolahan data dari pengkodean open, axial, dan selektif hingga pembuatan model konseptual pembentukan identitas kolektif gerakan konservasi mangrove. Teori representasi sosial dimanfaatkan dalam interpretasi data. Hasil analisis menunjukkan lahirnya KPL sebagai gerakan konservasi menandai cara kerja representasi sosial yang berpusat pada produksi pengetahuan sosial tentang kelembagaan kelompok konservasi dan pentingnya nilai ekologis untuk peningkatan kesejahteraan. KPL berperan besar dalam memproduksi kearifan lokal dengan mengadvokasi lahirnya peraturan daerah yang mengkonstruksi pengetahuan ilmiah menjadi pengetahuan praktis dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Keberhasilan KPL sebagai gerakan konservasi mangrove menunjukkan bahwa masyakat pesisir memiliki potensi sebagai sebuah masyarakat berpikir, dan dapat menjadi contoh rekayasa sosial dalam gerakan konservasi yang mengandalkan pada tindakan dan identitas kolektif.

Abstract

As a research method, case studies are often used in qualitative research, but there is no agreement on research procedures. Case studies have been widely used in psychology, which is not only used in the context of research but it has different meanings. The purpose of this article is to provide a description of the case study as a research method, by providing an overview of the procedures for conducting research which includes when case studies can be used, research design, data collection, data validity, and data analysis. This article seeks to help emerging researchers in the field of psychology with several views from Robert Yin and Robert Stake. This article helps researchers to familiarize themselves with the procedures of qualitative research using case studies. A case study approach that is applied correctly can be a valuable method for conducting research, especially in the field of psychology as a means of developing theory, evaluating programs, developing interventions.

Abstract

Research Competency Development on employees in the Terminal Rubies and Diamonds with a system of training a spinner reborn is made to analyze and describe explicitly, with regard to the development of competence to improve the performance of the operational employees, including the ability to adapt to be able to develop the ability and adjustment themselves with the era of business transformation in the digital. The study was conducted by using the descriptive qualitative method to determine the analysis of the results, where the collection of primary data in this research is done by observation, interview, survey and expert justification, while the secondary data is done through the duties and responsibilities of work to be done with the population research using purposive sampling method which is taken from the employee homogeneously in the accept, perform and megimplementasikan the activities of the development of these competencies. The application of training in the implementation of operations related to loading and unloading the container is intended to provide structuring the completion of the work proper with the interconnectedness of all areas of work and also a system of spinner reborn existing in the process of loading and unloading the container.

Abstract

Kepercayaan diri sudah pasti menjadi salah satu faktor penentu suksesnya seorang atlet, karena hal tersebut yang pada akhirnya akan berdampak pada penampilan atlet saat bertanding dan dalam mencapai sebuah prestasi. Tujuan dari dari artikel ini adalah (1) mendeskripsikan tentang pentingnya faktor mental dalam mencapai sebuah prestasi, (2) mendeskripsikan tentang pentingnya kepercayaan diri pada atlet bola basket menjelang pertandingan, (3) mendeskripsikan bagaimana membangun kepercayaan diri atlet bola basket menjelang kompetisi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui studi literatur yang relevan untuk dikaji secara konseptual dan disimpulkan dari hasil bahasan. Hasil dari pengkajian ini menunjukan bahwa (1) Faktor mental sangat penting dalam mencapai sebuah prestasi atlet bola basket, hal ini disebabkan jika atlet memiliki mental yang baik maka akan meningkatkan kepercayaan diri (2) kepercayaan diri sebagai kualitas penting yang harus dimiliki oleh atlet elit untuk melindungi dari pikiran dan perasaan yang berpotensi melemahkan yang dialami dalam situasi kompetitif. (3) Membangun kepercayaan diri atlet  dapat dilakukan dengan selalu berfikir positif, latihan simulasi untuk mencari pengalaman bertanding, dapat dilakukan saat latihan dan saat menjalankan try in/try out, lakukan self-talk, motivasi dari dalam dan luar, tentukan tujuan/goal setting dan mengikuti program latihan mental.
