Abstract

Sugar palm (Arenga pinnata Merr.) is a promising estate crop with significant potential as a raw material for palm sugar, starch, fiber, and bioethanol production. However, its utilization and cultivation in Indonesia have not been fully optimized. This plant is found throughout Indonesia's tropical rainforests, from Sumatera to Papua. While several genetic diversity studies of sugar palm in Indonesia have been conducted using morphological traits, isozymes, and molecular markers, these efforts are less extensive than those focused on other members of the Arecaceae family. To date, the genetic diversity studies of sugar palm in Indonesia are still limited in terms of the number of markers, population coverage, and the use of modern genomic approaches. This paper aims to review the current status of genetic diversity research on sugar palm in Indonesia and the development of a molecular marker toolkit for the early identification of early maturing sugar palm seedlings.. The introduction of this toolkit is expected to accelerate sugar palm breeding programs in Indonesia, particularly in developing improved varieties that can benefit farmers. Further dissemination and broader availability of this kit are necessary to increase recognition of its benefits and facilitate its widespread adoption within the community.   Keywords: detection toolkit, genetic diversity, molecular marker, plant breeding, estate crop

Abstract

The decline in chili productivity due to extreme weather anomalies in Merdikorejo Village underlies the importance of strengthening farmer capacity after the Climate Change Impact Technical Guidance through the integration of precision agriculture technology to ensure the economic sustainability of the horticultural sector. This study aims to examine the adoption process of precision agriculture technology innovations among farmers in Merdikorejo Village, Tempel Sub-district, Sleman Regency. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this research is in the form of a case study. Data collection involved interviews with 6 (six) informants representing a combination of farmer groups, observations, and Focus Group Discussions (FGD), with triangulation techniques. The results of the study indicate that the adoption of precision agriculture technology in Merdikorejo is not simply a transfer of technical equipment, but rather a complex mental and managerial transformation through five stages of innovation diffusion. At the knowledge and persuasion stage, exposure to formal information (DPI Technical Guidance) and informal information (experiential learning) successfully triggered farmer self-efficacy to carry out off-season cultivation with a projected profit margin of 61.72%. The decision-making and implementation phases in the field triggered an agreement to accelerate the planting of the RM 21 chili variety by a core group that integrates modern technology with local wisdom (Pranata Mangsa). Furthermore, in the confirmation phase, the successful technical testing of the closed-loop system on sloping land alleviated farmers' technological anxiety. Judging by their behavioral patterns, the adoption process moved through two main pathways: a structured institutional pathway that shapes the characteristics of the early majority and a self-help pathway based on field experience that shapes the characteristics of farmer innovators. These two groups converged in a horizontal social interaction space (peer-to-peer learning) with intensive mentoring from extension workers as change agents. This synergy not only encouraged reinvention (technical modification) of components but also increased farmers' managerial capacity toward climate-smart (less-labor) agriculture. At the macro scale, the sustainability of this innovation was firmly integrated with the strengthening of auction market institutions (gathering points) that ensured commodity price stability and farmer economic sustainability.

Abstract

Aloeland edutourism at P4S Mountvera Sejati holds significant potential as an aloe vera agribusiness and training center, yet the application of circular economy principles remains suboptimal. This study aims to identify the drivers of change influencing Aloeland’s development within a circular economy framework, providing a foundation for future scenarios and adaptive strategies. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with zero waste principles, using in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, participatory observation, and literature review. Data were analyzed through the PESTLE framework (political, economic, socio-cultural, technological, legal, environmental) to capture relevant external factors. Findings reveal that political drivers include government policies on community-based tourism and zero waste programs; economic drivers emphasize business diversification and value-added aloe vera by-products; social drivers are supported by community participation and youth involvement; technological drivers involve AI, IoT, and waste-processing innovations legal drivers highlight cooperative legality and herbal product standardization; environmental drivers stress adaptation to climate crises and resource conservation. The study concludes that integrating foresight with circular economy enables the formulation of adaptive strategies that enhance competitiveness, business efficiency, and Aloeland’s role as a sustainable agro-edutourism destination.

Abstract

Labu kuning (Cucurbita moschata) dan zucchini (Cucurbita pepo) merupakan komoditas hortikultura yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi. Produktivitas tanaman labu sangat dipengaruhi oleh ketersediaan hara yang optimal dan berkelanjutan. Kombinasi pupuk organik hayati dan pupuk anorganik berpotensi meningkatkan efisiensi pemupukan sekaligus memperbaiki kesuburan tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kombinasi pupuk organik hayati padat Bio Soltamax dan pupuk anorganik terhadap produktivitas labu kuning varietas hibrida dan zucchini. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan analisis komparatif dengan perlakuan kelompok kontrol, yaitu pemupukan kimia tunggal 100% (Urea, SP-36, dan KCl) dan kelompok perlakuan kombinasi, yaitu pupuk organik padat Bio Soltamax dengan pengurangan pupuk anorganik hingga 50%. Pengamatan dilakukan terhadap bobot hasil tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian kombinasi pupuk organik padat Bio Soltamax dengan pupuk anorganik mampu meningkatkan produktivitas labu kuning hibrida dan zucchini dibandingkan dengan 100% pupuk anorganik. Peningkatan bobot buah menunjukkan peran konsorsium mikroba dalam meningkatkan efisiensi serapan hara serta mendukung pertumbuhan dan pengisian buah. Kandungan bahan organik yang tinggi dalam pupuk organik padat mampu memperbaiki sifat fisik dan biologis tanah sehingga meningkatkan ketersediaan dan serapan hara. Integrasi antara pupuk organik hayati padat Bio Soltamax dan pupuk anorganik mampu meningkatkan hasil tanaman sekaligus mengefisienkan penggunaan pupuk kimia, sehingga berpotensi menjadi strategi pemupukan yang efektif dan berkelanjutan pada budidaya labu kuning. Yellow pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata) and zucchini (Cucurbita pepo) are horticultural commodities with high economic value. Pumpkin productivity is strongly influenced by optimal and sustainable nutrient availability. The combination of bio-organic and inorganic fertilizers has the potential to improve fertilization efficiency while enhancing soil fertility. This study aimed to analyze the effect of combining solid bio-organic fertilizer Bio Soltamax and inorganic fertilizers on the productivity of hybrid yellow pumpkin and zucchini. The research employed an experimental method with comparative analysis using a control treatment consisting of 100% chemical fertilization (Urea, SP-36, and KCl) and a combination treatment of solid bio-organic fertilizer Bio Soltamax with a reduction of inorganic fertilizer by up to 50%. Observations were focused on yield weight. The results showed that the application of solid bio-organic Bio Soltamax combined with inorganic fertilizers increased the productivity of hybrid yellow pumpkin and zucchini compared with 100% inorganic fertilization. The increase in fruit weight indicates the role of microbial consortia in improving nutrient uptake efficiency and supporting plant growth and fruit filling. The high organic matter content in the solid bio-organic fertilizer improved the physical and biological properties of the soil, thereby enhancing nutrient availability and uptake. The integration of solid bio-organic fertilizer Bio Soltamax with inorganic fertilizers increased crop yield while improving the efficiency of chemical fertilizer use, indicating its potential as an effective and sustainable fertilization strategy for pumpkin cultivation.

Abstract

Tanaman kemangi (Ocimum basilicum L.) memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi sebagai sayuran segar yang banyak dikonsumsi. Di Tanjungsari, Kabupaten Sumedang, budidaya kemangi menghadapi hambatan berupa penurunan kualitas tanah dan rendahnya efisiensi pemupukan, sehingga hasil panen tidak optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pengaruh pupuk organik hayati (POH) padat sebagai pembenah tanah terhadap pertumbuhan dan bobot panen kemangi. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan enam perlakuan: kontrol (A), 100% POH (B), POH + 25% dosis rekomendasi anorganik (C), POH + 50% dosis rekomendasi anorganik (D), POH + 100% dosis rekomendasi anorganik (E), dan 100% pupuk anorganik (F),masing-masing diulang empat kali. Parameter yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman dan bobot panen. Hasil menunjukkan kombinasi POH dengan 50% pupuk anorganik memberikan pertumbuhan optimal (tinggi 30,41 cm; bobot 27,32 g), lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lain dan kontrol. Efektivitas ini terkait kontribusi mikroorganisme POH dalam meningkatkan ketersediaan hara, fiksasi nitrogen, pelarutan fosfat, stimulasi fitohormon, serta perbaikan struktur tanah. Studi menyimpulkan penggunaan POH padat dengan 50% pupuk anorganik dapat meningkatkan hasil kemangi, efisiensi pemupukan, dan mendukung pertanian berkelanjutan. Basil (Ocimum basilicum L.) is an economically valuable crop widely consumed as a fresh vegetable. In Tanjungsari, Sumedang Regency, basil cultivation faces challenges including declining soil quality and low fertilizer use efficiency, resulting in suboptimal yields. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of solid Bio-Organic Fertilizer (BOF) as a soil conditioner on the growth and yield of basil. The experiment was conducted using a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with six treatments: control (A), 100% BOF (B), BOF + 25% recommended inorganic fertilizer (C), BOF + 50% recommended inorganic fertilizer (D), BOF + 75% recommended inorganic fertilizer (E), and 100% inorganic fertilizer (F), each replicated four times. Observed parameters included plant height and fresh weight. Results indicated that the combination of BOF with 50% inorganic fertilizer produced the highest growth and yield (30.41 cm height; 27.32 g fresh weight), outperforming other treatments and the control. This effectiveness is attributed to the contribution of BOF microorganisms in enhancing nutrient availability, nitrogen fixation, phosphate solubilization, phytohormone stimulation, and soil structure improvement. The study concludes that applying solid BOF with 50% inorganic fertilizer can increase basil yield, improve fertilizer use efficiency, and support sustainable agriculture.

Abstract

KUB Kepodang Topo mengembangkan UPJA sebagai bagian dari penerapan pertanian korporasi berbasis mekanisasi namun, pemanfaatan layanan UPJA belum digunakan secara berkelanjutan oleh seluruh petani padi di wilayah kerjanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh karakteristik petani: umur, tingkat pendidikan, pengalaman bertani, pendapatan, dan luas lahan terhadap persepsi petani mengenai manfaat layanan UPJA pada KUB Kepodang Topo di Kecamatan Tawangsari, Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada November 2025 - Juni 2026 menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan kuesioner sebagai instrumen utama. Persepsi petani diukur menggunakan skala likert (1-5) berdasarkan tiga indikator utama: peningkatan pendapatan dan taraf hidup, peningkatan kualitas dan kuantitas hasil produksi, serta efisiensi waktu dan biaya. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan quota sampling dengan jumlah 60 responden. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linear berganda dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan seluruh karakteristik petani berpengaruh signifikan terhadap persepsi manfaat layanan UPJA. Secara parsial pendapatan dan luas lahan berpengaruh signifikan,  sedangkan umur, tingkat pendidikan, dan pengalaman bertani tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Nilai koefisien determinasi Adjusted R2 sebesar 0,772 menunjukkan bahwa 77,2% variasi persepsi petani terhadap manfaat layanan UPJA dijelaskan oleh karakteristik petani. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendapatan dan penguasaan lahan merupakan faktor utama yang membentuk persepsi petani terhadap manfaat layanan UPJA.

Abstract

Peningkatan mutu pendidikan menuntut lembaga pendidikan tidak hanya berorientasi pada pemenuhan standar administratif, tetapi juga pada kebutuhan dan kepuasan pelanggan pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan Total Quality Management (TQM) di lembaga pendidikan melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Proses telaah pustaka dilakukan dengan mengacu pada pedoman PRISMA 2020 guna menjamin transparansi dan ketelitian metodologis. Pada tahap awal penelusuran menghasilkan 500 dokumen yang teridentifikasi, kemudian diseleksi melalui beberapa tahapan berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang telah ditetapkan. Hasil seleksi tersebut menghasilkan 14 artikel jurnal empiris berbahasa Indonesia yang relevan untuk dianalisis secara menyeluruh. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa fokus pada pelanggan berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan mutu pendidikan melalui peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran, profesionalisme pendidik, layanan pendidikan yang responsif, serta penguatan hubungan dengan orang tua dan masyarakat. Simpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa prinsip fokus pada pelanggan merupakan determinan penting dalam keberhasilan TQM. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penguatan orientasi pelanggan melalui peningkatan kapasitas sumber daya manusia, optimalisasi layanan, dan evaluasi mutu berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Cassava is a plant that is easy to grow, offering high potential for development as an alternative food ingredient. Business success is the success of a business actor in achieving their goals. This study aims to determine the impact of raw material quality, farming experience, infrastructure, business competition, and market access on the success of the slondok business in Banjaroyo Village. This study employs a quantitative approach using a questionnaire as the primary data collection instrument, conducted from November 2024 to February 2025 in Banjaroyo Village, Kalibawang Sub-district, Kulon Progo Regency. The respondents in this study consisted of 38 slondok business actors, selected using a saturated sample technique. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis, conducted using SPSS version 25.0. The results show that the variables of raw material quality (X1), farming experience (X2), facilities and infrastructure (X3), business competition (X4), and market access (X5) have a significant effect simultaneously (together) on the business success with a significance level of 0.018. Partially, raw material quality and farming experience have an effect on business success with a significance value of 0.007 and 0.045, respectively, while facilities and infrastructure, business competition, and market access do not have a significant effect. So, it is necessary to analyze other factors that support the success of the business run by slondok entrepreneurs.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the utilization of social media up as a Wasilah Dakwah STID Students in Al-Hikmah Angkatan 49. The research method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. Methods of data collection is by depth interview, observation, and documentation. Conclusion of research, facebook utilization as wasilah da'wah by STID students in Al-Hikmah 49 by way of: a) spread positive news about Islam. b) Posting good things in the form of video, pictures and inspirational writings. c) Post something that is good. Sharing good postings of goodness, and actively speaking good in the comment field. d) Write articles of Islam, fiqh, hadith, tafseer etc. e) uploading study videos of the scholars. F) Write the motivation of Islamic da’wah.

Improved soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) varieties resistant to major pest or disease, and in accordance with consumer preferences are important in breeding programs to raise their productivity. Identification of superior promising mutant lines of soybean before releasing them needs multiple environment trials complemented with molecular assay. This study aimed to assess morpho-agronomical and molecular characters using SSR markers of promising mutant lines of soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.). A total of 14 SSR markers were used to evaluate 20 mutant lines along with their parental lines and check varieties, and eight different locations were chosen to field evaluation of 11 selected lines induced by gamma-ray. Values of Polymorphism Information Content, allele number, and gene diversity index were high, indicating the great genetic diversity among these mutant lines, and far distant from their parental lines. Phylogenetic tree also supported the distinguishable among gamma ray-induced mutant lines compared to the parental lines. The significant interaction between promising line and environment showed their high adaptability and stable yield in various environments. Biosoy-8 (2.713 ton/ha) and Biosoy-11 (2.631 ton/ha) revealing the high yields lines supported with the molecular information could be potential to be released as new varieties and can direct their efficient utilization for field application or further improvement scheme.
