Abstract

Giant freshwater prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) is a freshwater fishery commodity with sexual dimorphism in which male individuals grow faster than females. The establishment of a male monosexual population is expected to increase individual uniformity, growth rate, and production efficiency. Induction of sex reversal in the formation of the pseudomale can be done hormonally using materials containing testosterone derivatives, for example, pine pollen (Pinus tabulaeformis). This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of pine pollen extract on the sex reversal performance of giant prawns. Pine pollen extract with different doses (0.0 mL L-1; 0.2 mL L-1; 0.4 mL L-1; and 0.6 mL L-1) was given by immersion during 24 hours in prawns before sexual differentiation (PL15) with a length of 12 ± 0.3 mm and a weight of 0.02 ± 0.001 g with a density of 60 individuals per L, then reared for 45 days in a container (60 x 40 x 30 cm3) with a water height of 20 cm and a density of 1 individual per L. Treatment with a dose of pine pollen extract at a dose of 0.2 mL L-1 resulted in a male sex ratio of 46.69 ± 5.36%, while increasing doses of 0.4-0.6 ml L-1 and the control were not effective in the sex reversal (35-42%) with a survival rate of PL60 ranged from 66-82%. The secondary sexual characteristics of PL60 male giant prawns measuring 30-32 mm are male gonopore (MG) and masculine appendix (AM), while female giant prawns have an internal appendix (AI) on the second swimming leg and the cavity between the fifth swimming leg. This study concludes that the application of pine pollen extract at a maximum dose of 0.2 mL L-1 could directly induced sex reversal of female to male of giant prawns.

Abstract

With the increasing development of technology today, the need for information is increasing. Where everyone needs information in a fast, short, and accurate time. An agency or organization in carrying out its activities cannot be separated from the exchange of information between stakeholders with one another. A communication network is also very much needed at the West Jakarata District Attorney's office, as a means of communication for exchanging data and information. However, the presence of employees who carry out office activities outside the West Jakarta District Attorney is a problem because sometimes they have to return to the office to retrieve the data needed for work, where the data is on the local network inside the office, which results in inefficient work time. . Therefore, tools and networks are needed that can access data in the local office network anytime and anywhere the employee is located. Therefore, in this study, a Virtual Private Network network design was carried out with the Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol with IPsec as additional security, using Mikrotik. Abstract

This paper discusses the effect that the representation of history in digital media has on collective memory with a particular emphasis on its consequences in the sphere of management. In the digital era, history is no longer limited to a textbook, all the archives or institutional accounts; it is being spread globally by the social media and video-sharing sites as well as web communities, where the history is reinterpreted, challenged, and co-created. This study employs the use of a qualitative methodology to research various participants based on their interviews to examine the way audiences interact with digital historical material, how they engage in negotiating meaning, and how the interactions influence the overall formation of common sense about the past. These results indicate that digital media will render history more convenient and personal to experience, especially among younger viewers, yet may also lead to the dissection or watering down of narratives. The interpretations of the audience are also influenced by the active involvement of online dialogue, which gives rise to collective memory due to the interaction, debate, and exchange of other views. Notably, the research indicates that the digital media strengthens national identity and at the same time creates space on which the challenged and plural memory can emerge to challenge institutional authority. On the managerial side, the implications of these dynamics are significant: historical narratives can be seen as strategic assets that can be used to affect the organizational legitimacy, identity construction and accountability. Organizations are no longer able to use one direction storytelling but need to dialogically interact with the various accounts of the past to continue to maintain trust and relevance. Finally, the study will help in understanding further the complexity of digital media, history and collective memory entanglement and provide information on how managers and institutions can negotiate across this shifting landscape in a responsible and strategic way.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of labor force participation and unemployment on poverty rates in Gowa Regency, Indonesia. Employing a quantitative research design, the study utilizes time series data from 2014 to 2023, collected through observation and documentation techniques. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 2.5. The findings reveal that labor force participation has a negative but statistically insignificant effect on poverty rates. This is evidenced by a t-value of -1.120, which is lower than the critical value of 1.894, and a significance level of 0.300 (p > 0.05). These results suggest that while higher labor participation may contribute to reducing poverty, the relationship is not statistically significant. Additionally, unemployment is found to have a positive but similarly insignificant effect on poverty, with a t-value of 0.010 and a significance level of 0.992 (p > 0.05). These findings indicate that changes in labor force participation and unemployment rates do not have a significant direct impact on poverty levels in the region. The study contributes to the discourse on labor market dynamics and socioeconomic development, providing empirical evidence for policymakers in designing effective poverty alleviation strategies

Abstract

This study investigates the role of destination image as a mediator in the relationships among digital marketing, leadership, the marketing mix, and tourist satisfaction. A total of 420 respondents participated in the survey, which was distributed both online and offline to tourists who visited various destinations in West Sumatra, Indonesia. The sampling technique employed was purposive sampling to ensure that respondents were relevant to the research context. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that digital marketing, leadership, and marketing mix exert significant positive effects on destination image. Furthermore, destination image significantly influences tourist satisfaction, confirming its pivotal role in shaping tourists’ overall experiences. Mediation analysis indicates that destination image partially mediates the relationships between digital marketing, leadership, marketing mix, and tourist satisfaction. Interestingly, the direct effect of leadership on tourist satisfaction was not statistically significant, suggesting that leadership influences satisfaction primarily through enhancing destination image. This study contributes to the tourism marketing literature by providing empirical evidence of the mediating role of destination image in the digital era. The results highlight the importance of integrated marketing strategies and leadership in strengthening destination image to enhance tourist satisfaction. Practical implications suggest that tourism stakeholders should optimize digital marketing tools, adopt effective leadership practices, and improve the marketing mix to build a strong destination image that fosters sustainable tourist satisfaction.
