Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by tuberculosis germs (Mycobacterium tuberculosis). This disease is still a global health problem. It is estimated that one third of the world's population has been infected with pulmonary TB, where the majority of pulmonary TB sufferers are of productive age (15-50 years). Pulmonary TB is chronic and is typically characterized by the formation of granulomas and tissue necrosis. Pulmonary TB can be transmitted through the air, when someone with active TB in the lungs coughs, sneezes or talks. The research method used in this research is quasi experimental research with a one group pretest-posttest research design. The location of the research was in Aceh Singkil Regency. The research was carried out from July to December 2023. The research sample was 30 representatives of junior high school students based on school recommendations. The research results showed that 23 (38.3%) respondents had knowledge about eating nutritious food, and 25 (83.3%) respondents had the attitude that if they were suffering from TB, they would go to the health center. The conclusion is that students' knowledge and attitudes have increased by being given TB training, especially knowledge about TB being caused by heredity and consuming nutritious food.

Abstract

Diarrhea can be defined as a condition where a person experiences an increased frequency of defecation, which results in liquid or non-solid faeces. Washing hands with soap is a fundamental and essential technique for preventing and controlling the spread of infectious diseases. Hands are one of the main routes for bacteria to enter and infect the body. Diarrhea is one of the factors causing death, so there must be prevention of diarrhea incidents. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between hand washing behavior using soap and the incidence of diarrhea. This research includes quantitative research analysis using a cross-sectional design. Research activities were conducted at State Elementary School 04 Rantau Utara from February to March 2024. The population studied in this research were all students from Elementary School 268 Negeri 04 Rantau Utara. The sampling technique used was random sampling, which resulted in a research sample of 71 people. The variables examined in this research include hand washing behavior using soap and the incidence of diarrhea.. Data was collected through questionnaires. Data analysis carried out included univariate and bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test using SPSS version 24 software. Based on the analysis results, a p-value of 0.000 <0.05. This shows that there is a statistically significant relationship between handwashing behaviour using soap and the incidence of diarrhea. This is due to a lack of good and correct hand washing with soap, which causes diarrhoea. Many still need to understand the basic techniques for washing hands with soap properly. Having hand washing facilities and infrastructure will make it easier for children to wash their hands properly so that they can effectively break the chain of bacteria. Abstract

As a result of their learning, students, teachers, and the school community practice clean and healthy living habits in the school. Problems that arise in primary schools show that students do not practice clean and healthy behaviours, such as rarely washing hands with running water and soap, rarely using healthy latrines, and rarely throwing garbage in its place, and that there are several cases of incidents such as diarrhoea, worms, typhoid, and ulcers. This study aims to identify the characteristics of clean and healthy behaviours in students at 5 Pancur Batu Primary School. Data collection techniques were carried out by distributing questionnaires on questions regarding healthy living behaviour and general questions covering health problems. The percentage of the indicator of healthy snack consumption in the school canteen has reached 81%. The percentage of indicators using clean and healthy latrines was as much as 78.6%. The percentage on the Regular and Measured Exercise indicator, obtained as much as 93.3%, looks almost perfect. Furthermore, 87.1% of the last indicator, eradicating mosquito flicks, was obtained. The percentage of students of Pancur Batu Primary School who have carried out clean and healthy living behaviour is 66.4%. Clean and Healthy Lifestyle education can increase knowledge about how to live a healthy life in the school environment so that students and students avoid disease. Increasing the knowledge and skills of students was carried out using lecture and demonstration methods. Because of the gallon sink, Pancur Batu primary School students can wash their hands before and after eating to avoid disease. Students also learned about personal hygiene, which is important for health.

Abstract

Breakfast is the best way to give the brain the energy it needs to focus in class. Breakfast is very important to meet nutritional needs in the morning, especially for children who have many academic obligations. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of counseling about the importance of breakfast on knowledge and attitudes at SD Negeri 104226 Sukarende. In this research, it was carried out using the ABCD method. The outreach media used in this research is PPT material and showing animated videos about the importance of breakfast. The research results showed that during the counseling, teachers, parents and children all responded quite well. Breakfast has a very important role in supporting the health and learning achievement of school children. Breakfast has two purposes, namely providing adequate nutrition and maintaining the body's immune system, thus allowing the body to carry out its tasks efficiently. Children need energy for physical activity, studying in class, and participating in various other school activities. Without breakfast, the body will take energy reserves from stored glycogen, but this will soon run out and cause students to feel tired quickly, lack energy, and can even faint. Media-based counseling for elementary school students is very useful and more effective because media-based counseling can increase knowledge and understanding and is more easily absorbed by students at SD Negeri 104226 Sukarende. For students at SD Negeri 104226 Sukarende, breakfast is very important to start daily activities and study well.
