Abstract

Lamiang Turus Pelek, a red stone bead included in the Dayak Ngaju traditional dowry, has historically held a crucial symbolic role. However, its sacred meaning has been significantly diminished, often considered merely a decorative ornament. The background to this problem is the intergenerational gap in understanding triggered by cultural commodification and modernization. The focus of this research is to revitalize this symbolic meaning to bridge the existing value gap. This study uses a qualitative literature review method with a symbolic anthropology approach as its analytical framework. Key stages included data collection from books, journal articles, and relevant traditional documents (published between 2015 and 2024), which were then analyzed thematically and interpretively. Key findings identified five consistent dimensions of meaning: loyalty, moral integrity, spiritual protection, communal solidarity, and identity preservation. However, this study also confirmed the phenomenon of heritage disconnection among the younger generation. In conclusion, Lamiang Turus Pelek still has the potential to anchor Dayak Ngaju identity. Revitalizing its meaning can be achieved by strategically integrating it into character education, through local content curricula and digital cultural narratives, to ensure the tradition's relevance and continuity in the contemporary era. ABSTRAKLamiang Turus Pelek, manik batu merah dalam mas kawin adat Dayak Ngaju, secara historis memegang peran simbolik yang krusial. Namun, pemaknaan sakralnya kini mengalami reduksi signifikan, sering kali hanya dianggap sebagai ornamen dekoratif. Latar belakang masalah ini adalah adanya kesenjangan pemahaman antar-generasi yang dipicu oleh komodifikasi budaya dan modernisasi. Fokus penelitian ini adalah merevitalisasi makna simbolik tersebut untuk menjembatani kesenjangan nilai yang ada. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka kualitatif dengan pendekatan antropologi simbolik sebagai kerangka analisis. Tahapan pentingnya meliputi pengumpulan data dari buku, artikel jurnal, dan dokumen adat yang relevan (terbitan 2015–2024), yang kemudian dianalisis secara tematik-interpretatif. Temuan utama mengidentifikasi lima dimensi makna yang konsisten: kesetiaan, integritas moral, perlindungan spiritual, solidaritas komunal, dan pelestarian identitas. Namun, studi ini juga mengonfirmasi adanya fenomena heritage disconnection di kalangan generasi muda. Kesimpulannya, Lamiang Turus Pelek tetap berpotensi menjadi jangkar identitas Dayak Ngaju. Revitalisasi maknanya dapat dicapai dengan mengintegrasikannya secara strategis ke dalam pendidikan karakter, melalui kurikulum muatan lokal dan narasi budaya digital, untuk memastikan relevansi dan kesinambungan tradisi di era kontemporer.

Abstract

The use of technology in the world of education has a very big role, especially after the Covid19 pandemic. In the educational environment, teachers, students, and education staff are required to master technology in order to streamline and streamline learning. This has continued into the post-covid 19 pandemic. Learning today is offline sometimes blended learning by utilizing various applications of technology so that students learn to be happy, interactive, communicative, and critical thinking. Learning that develops students' affective, cognitive and psychomotor competencies is expected to build life skills and meaning for students. The Merdeka Belajar government program provides a very wide space for teachers and students to be creative in exploring, growing and developing students' life skills that are utilized in everyday life. Life skills in learning Indonesian oriented towards the ability to communicate orally or in writing well. For this reason, the substance of the material, strategies and methods as well as the output of important competencies are well planned by the teacher. Learning productivity Indonesian boils down to four aspects, namely listening, speaking, reading and writing which are supported by the use of technology, as in today's digital era.

Abstract

The development of socio-emotional competence is a crucial aspect in Early Childhood Education (PAUD) often integrated with character education. This article examines the implementation of the "PISA Merah" (Pilah Sampah Menjadi Rupiah/Sorting Waste into Rupiah) innovation at TK ‘Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Jajag as a medium to foster socio-emotional abilities in early childhood. This program not only focuses on environmental management and entrepreneurship education but significantly cultivates empathy, care for others, and a spirit of collaboration in children. Through concrete activities of sorting waste and converting it into scholarship funds for less fortunate friends, "PISA Merah" creates a holistic learning experience, shaping environmentally and socially conscious character from an early age. This research aims to describe the design, implementation, and observed results of the "PISA Merah" program, highlighting its unique contribution to socio-emotional development.

Abstract

Kegiatan diplomasi budaya tentu sangat beragam. Salah satu kegiatan diplomasi budaya yang dikenalkan pada program BIPA di KBRI Portugal ialah dengan mengadakan menonton bersama film yang berjudul “Kartini”. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan mengenai proses diplomasi budaya Indonesia melalui film Kartini di Portugal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data pelaksanaan diplomasi budaya melalui film Kartini ini diperoleh dari  BIPA 1  kelas B di KBRI Portugal. Hasil observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen merupakan data primer yang digunakan dalam pembahasan penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini ialah pemelajar BIPA 1 di KBRI Portugal khususnya kelas B merasa sangat senang bisa mengenal dan bahkan memahami isi film Kartini, karena dengan begitu pemelajar semakin mengenal kebudayaan salah satu daerah di Indonesia yaitu di Jepara. Pemelajar juga sangat antusias untuk menjawab kuis-kuis yang diberikan oleh pengajar setelah selesai acara menonton film bersama tersebut. Semua pertanyaan kuis dijawab dengan baik oleh pemelajar. Kuis-kuis tersebut juga berhadiah, hadiah yang diberikan sebenarnya adalah hal sederhana seperti makanan yang berasal dari Indonesia, atau pernak-pernik sederhana yang berasal dari Indonesia. Dengan demikian, diplomasi budaya melalui film ini dapat menumbuhkan saling pengertian, toleransi, dan terciptanya harmoni antar negara. Kata Kunci: Diplomasi, BIPA, Media Film Kartini

Abstract

Kemampuan berbahasa merupakan aspek penting dalam perkembangan Anak Usia Dini, yang perlu ditumbuhkan melalui pengalaman nyata dan bermakma. Salah satu kegiatan yang dapat menunjang pengembangan bahasa anak adalah melalui kegiatan Cooking Class atau memasak bersama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi efektivitas  kegiatan Cooking Claas sebagai media inovatif dalam mengembangkan keterampilan bahasa reseptif dan ekspresif pada Anak Usia Dini. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif di TK ABA Karangasem 01 Paciran Lamomgan, dengan melibatkan 31 anak kelompok A (usai 4-5 tahun). Anak di bagi dalam 4 kelompok dengan tugas yang berbeda-beda dalam memasak sayur Sop, mengupas dan mencuci sayur, memotong sayur, menyiapkan bumbu dan menghaluskanya dengan menggunakan alat tradisional (cobek dan ulekan), dan menumis serta memasak. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan analisis data  dalam penelitian ini menggunakan  model Milles dan Huberman, yang terdiri dari tiga tahap, reduksi data, penyajian data dalam bentuk narasi, serta penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi untuk memastikan keakuratan temuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Cooking Class memberi peluang anak untuk memahami instruksi verbal (bahasa reseptif),  dan mengekspresikan ide serta perasaannya (bahasa ekspresif) secara alami dalam konteks  sosial yang menyenangkan. Dengan demikian, Cooking Class dapat menjadi strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dalam mengembangkan bahasa Anak Usia Dini.

Abstract

This research aims to (1) describe the form of compliance and language function of the principle of cooperation in service communication conversations at the Muhammadiyah University of Malang Library, 2) describe violations and factors that influence the principle of cooperation in service communication conversations at the Muhammadiyah University of Malang Library. This type of research method is qualitative with a case study research approach. The research data is about the principles of cooperation in service communication conversations at the Muhammadiyah University of Malang Library. The data source comes from primary data sources in the form of dialogue text fragments in recorded service communication conversations that occurred between students and library staff at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The data collection technique was carried out using the note-taking method. Then, the data analysis technique is carried out by analyzing the data by reducing the data, presenting the data, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research analysis show (1) there are four forms of compliance with the maxims of cooperation principles, which include the maxim of quantity, the maxim of quality, the maxim of relevance, and the maxim of manner. There are two language functions found in compliance with these maxims, including assertive and directive language functions. The function of assertive language, namely stating, is found in the maxim of quantity and the maxim of quality, while the function of directive language, namely commanding, is found in the maxim of relevance and the maxim of manner, (2) there are two forms of violation of the maxim of the principle of cooperation which include the maxim of quantity and the maxim of relevance. There are also factors that influence the occurrence of violations of these maxims. Violations that occur in the maxim of quantity are influenced by situational factors and conditions that are being experienced. Meanwhile, violations of the maxim of relevance are influenced by the lack of known information.

Abstract

This article will describe the form and function of illocutionary speech in Shopee ads on YouTube. This research is a type of qualitative research with the descriptive method and uses a pragmatic approach. The source of the data in this study is the Shopee ad video obtained from the Shopee YouTube account. The data were collected by using the documentation technique and taking notes freely, then the data in the research analyzed was reduced, presented the data, and concluded. The results showed that Shopee's advertising speech on YouTube was dominated by assertive function speech. In addition to these speeches, other forms of speech are directive, commissive, and expressive forms. The speech function in Shopee advertisements shows several specific purposes, namely the functions of informing, claiming, reporting, suggesting, requesting, inviting, advising, promising, offering, and thanking.ABSTRAKArtikel ini akan mendeskrispikan bentuk dan fungsi tuturan ilokusi pada iklan Shopee di YouTube. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskripstif dan menggunakan pendekatan pragmatik. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu video iklan Shopee yang didapat dari akun YouTube Shopee. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik dokumentasi dan simak catat bebas, kemudian data pada penelitian dianalisis direduksi,disajikan data, dan disimpulkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tuturan iklan Shopee di YouTube didominasi oleh tuturan fungsi asertif. Selain tuturan tersebut bentuk tuturan lainnya yaitu bentuk direktif, komisif, dan ekspresif. Fungsi tuturan pada iklan Shopee menunjukkan beberapa maksud tertentu yaitu fungsi menginformasikan, mengklaim, melaporkan, menyarankan, meminta, mengajak, menasihati, menjanjikan, menawarkan, dan berterima kasih.Kata kunci: ilokusi; iklan; dan pragmatik

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of picture stories as a learning strategy to improve reading comprehension and foster social awareness among third-grade elementary students. The research is motivated by ongoing challenges in cultivating students’ interest in reading and instilling essential social values from an early age. This qualitative study employed a case study design conducted in a third-grade classroom. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that the use of picture stories significantly increased students' engagement with reading. The combination of text and illustration helped students understand the story content, grasp meanings, and develop emotional connections with characters and events. Furthermore, picture stories encouraged peer discussions, allowing students to express opinions, reflect on moral values, and relate them to real-life experiences. These interactions contributed to the development of empathy, cooperation, and social care. Teachers also found it easier to deliver lessons contextually and enjoyably through this medium. It can be concluded that picture stories are effective not only in enhancing reading comprehension but also in nurturing social awareness among elementary students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the learning of procedure texts using food cooking practice methods in improving independent and creative characters in elementary school students and analyze the factors that influence it. Practice-based learning, especially through cooking activities, is expected to provide direct experience in enriching students' understanding of procedure text, as well as developing life skills such as independence and creativity. This study used a qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation methods for 25 students of grade 5 at SD Muhammadiyah 29 Surabaya. The results showed that students experienced an increase in independence by 60% and creativity by 50%. The factors that influence the improvement of independent and creative characters in learning cooking practices come from individuals and inadequate resources.

Abstract

Generation Alpha is those aged 1 to 14 years old. They are the generation that grew up in the digital age. The Alpha Generation has extensive access to information through technology. However, they tend to lack the ability to sort, analyze, and process information critically. This is a major challenge in the midst of the swift flow of information that has not been validly verified. This research aims to build critical literacy in Generation Alpha through a technology-based approach integrated with ethical values. The research method is descriptive qualitative. This research explores critical literacy through the application of digital learning media in instilling ethical values, responsibility, and social awareness. The results show that technology can be an effective tool to improve critical literacy with an approach based on character strengthening. The cultivation of ethical values through technology-based learning activities can strengthen critical thinking skills, as well as build moral awareness in Generation Alpha. This study recommends the integration of an ethics-based digital literacy curriculum to prepare Generation Alpha to face the challenges of the digital era in the future.
