Abstract

The alignment between educational fields and learning activities in Elementary Schools is very important in creating effective and enjoyable learning experiences for students. This study aims to analyze how the implemented curriculum is in line with the needs and characteristics of students at the elementary level. Through a qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and analysis of curriculum documents. The results of the study indicate that there is a gap between the expected educational theory and classroom learning practices. Factors such as limited resources, lack of teacher training, and parental support affect the effectiveness of learning activities. Therefore, it is recommended that schools and policy makers conduct continuous evaluation and improvement of the curriculum and teaching methods to ensure that learning activities are in line with broader educational goals.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the role of class teachers in instilling character values to elementary school students, especially at SDN Sukajaya, Sumber Harta District, and Musi Rawas Regency. A qualitative approach with a case study method was used to explore in depth the strategies, methods, and challenges faced in implementing character education. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, direct observation in class, and documentation of school policies. The results showed that class teachers play an important role in shaping students' character through exemplary methods, habituation, integration of values in learning, and reflective dialogue. Values such as honesty, responsibility, tolerance, and discipline are consistently instilled in teaching and learning activities and school culture. Supporting factors for character implementation include teacher and principal commitment, a conducive school environment, and supportive policies. However, obstacles such as lack of parental involvement, limited teacher training, and diverse student backgrounds are still challenges. This study concludes that character education in elementary schools requires an integrated approach and support from various parties in order to form a generation with strong character and integrity.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the challenges and strategies faced by elementary school teachers in optimizing the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the learning process during the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era. The background of this study is rooted in the significant transformation of education due to digitalization, which demands a shift in both the roles of teachers and learning systems. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving 10 teachers from five elementary schools in Sumber Harta District, Musi Rawas Regency. The findings revealed key challenges such as limited infrastructure, low digital literacy, and the lack of continuous training. Nevertheless, teachers demonstrated adaptive strategies by utilizing free digital tools, fostering peer collaboration, and implementing project-based learning. Support from school principals and learning communities proved to be significant contributing factors. This study concludes that collaborative efforts, policies that prioritize teacher capacity building, and equitable technology access are crucial to bridging the digital divide in primary education.

Abstract

The practice of harsh education that once colored the world of Indonesian education in the past was often associated with discipline and success in forming character. However, along with the development of understanding of children's rights and educational psychology, the practice of physical punishment began to be questioned for its relevance. This article aims to review the journey of harsh education in the past and examine the relevance of physical punishment in the context of today's education. By using a descriptive qualitative approach and literature study, it is obtained that physical punishment is no longer in accordance with the principles of modern education that emphasize humanistic character building. Alternative approaches such as the restitution method and logical consequences are more effective in forming students' moral awareness.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has had a major impact on the world of education, including at the elementary school level. This study aims to analyze the implementation of AI in learning at SDN Madang, Musi Rawas Regency, and to identify the opportunities and challenges faced by teachers in the process of adapting the technology. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of AI at SDN Madang is still in its early stages, marked by the use of simple algorithm-based applications such as Google Classroom, Quizziz, and Kahoot. AI provides great opportunities to improve learning effectiveness, such as automatic feedback and analysis of student learning data. However, various challenges are still faced, including limited infrastructure, minimal digital literacy of teachers, and the absence of policies that support systemic AI integration. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening teacher competence, improving technological infrastructure, and supporting inclusive policies to realize sustainable and equitable AI-based learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

The demand for qualified and professional teachers at this time is a must for all educators. In carrying out their duties, teachers are obliged to plan learning, carry out quality learning processes, to produce quality generations in the future. This study aims to describe the importance of professionalism, teacher competence in Early Childhood Education and the quality of PAUD teacher education in Musi Rawas Regency. The things explored in this study are the importance of the role of teachers in improving the quality of learning in early childhood. The research techniques used in this study were observation, document studies, and in-depth interviews. The data analysis used was descriptive analysis, namely an analysis that provides an overview of the things that have been studied. While the method used in this study was a qualitative analysis method. The analysis was carried out through several stages, namely: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity, researchers used triangulation techniques, namely by using various methods to collect the same data from various data sources. Data were obtained from Educators of the Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Teachers Association, Musi Rawas Regency, South Sumatra Province. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that for IGABA educators in Musi Rawas Regency, by the end of 2024, there will be 8 new certified educators and 10 out of 71 educators who have passed the PPG Administration, almost half of the teacher data are still many high school graduates and there are still a lack of graduate educators who are linear with early childhood education. To get good quality in early childhood education, educators should have a Diploma four (D-IV) or Bachelor's degree (S1) in early childhood education, and other education relevant to the early childhood education system, or psychology obtained from an accredited study program, and have a PAUD Teacher Professional Education (PPG) certificate from an accredited university.

Abstract

The concept of edupreneurship integrates education with entrepreneurship to create individuals who are not only skilled in the business world but also have strong character and ethics. Edupreneurship aims to develop entrepreneurial skills from an early age, teaching creativity, innovation, and the ability to identify business opportunities. In addition, this concept emphasizes the importance of sustainability and social contribution in entrepreneurship, so that the entrepreneurs produced do not only focus on material gain, but also have a positive impact on society. Through this education-based approach, edupreneurship encourages students to think critically, independently, and have high fighting spirit, while developing moral and ethical values that can be applied in the business world. Edupreneurship also plays an important role in equipping the younger generation with the skills needed to compete in an increasingly complex global market.

Abstract

This research aims to design a lecture model for Indonesian learning evaluation as a compulsory course for project-based study programs that can encourage the development of critical thinking in the academic environment of students. The research method used is research development (R&D), through the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE). Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data analysis techniques in the development of learning evaluation models are carried out during product trials and expert assessments through FGD. During the product trial, data analysis was used through the t-test. The learning evaluation lecture model developed integrates Project Based Learning (PjBL). The results of the study show that the application of this model can increase student involvement in the learning process and strengthen students' analytical, synthesis, and critical reasoning skills. These findings confirm the importance of designing learning evaluation activities that not only focus on the assessment of the final results, but also encourage students' critical and reflective thinking processes. This model can be recommended as a lecture development strategy in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education study program, which is a program course. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of learning evaluation that is not only oriented to the final outcome, but also to the student's in-depth thinking process. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang model perkuliahan evaluasi pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia sebagai mata kuliah wajib untuk program studi berbasis proyek yang dapat mendorong pengembangan berpikir kritis di lingkungan akademik mahasiswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pengembangan penelitian (R&D), melalui tahapan Analisis, Perancangan, Pengembangan, Pelaksanaan, dan Evaluasi (ADDIE). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Teknik analisis data dalam pengembangan model evaluasi pembelajaran dilakukan pada saat uji coba produk dan penilaian ahli melalui FGD. Pada saat uji coba produk analisis data yang digunakan melalui Uji t (t-test). Model perkuliahan evaluasi pembelajaran yang dikembangkan mengintegrasikan Project Based Learning (PjBL). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model ini dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dan memperkuat kemampuan analitis, sintesis, dan penalaran kritis siswa. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya merancang kegiatan evaluasi pembelajaran yang tidak hanya berfokus pada penilaian hasil akhir, melainkan juga mendorong proses berpikir kritis dan reflektif mahasiswa. Model ini dapat direkomendasikan sebagai strategi pengembangan perkuliahan di program studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, yang menjadi mata kuliah keprodian. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya evaluasi pembelajaran yang tidak hanya berorientasi pada hasil akhir, tetapi juga pada proses berpikir mahasiswa secara mendalam.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kebijakan yang diterapkan oleh SDN Sungai Lanang dalam menyiapkan proses penerimaan siswa baru, mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambat pelaksanaannya, serta menganalisis strategi yang digunakan sekolah untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari kepala sekolah, guru, dan orang tua siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SDN Sungai Lanang menerapkan kebijakan penerimaan siswa baru yang terstruktur dan sesuai dengan regulasi Dinas Pendidikan, termasuk penerapan sistem zonasi. Sekolah menyusun rencana kerja, membentuk tim penerimaan siswa baru, serta melakukan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat secara langsung maupun melalui media sosial. Faktor pendukung keberhasilan pelaksanaan kebijakan antara lain adalah dukungan masyarakat, kerja sama dengan pemerintah desa, dan keterbukaan informasi. Adapun hambatan yang dihadapi meliputi keterbatasan sarana prasarana, kurangnya pemahaman orang tua terhadap sistem zonasi, serta tantangan dalam penyampaian informasi digital. Strategi yang diterapkan sekolah mencakup pendekatan personal kepada orang tua, kerja sama lintas sektor, serta fleksibilitas kebijakan dalam kasus tertentu. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa keberhasilan kebijakan penerimaan siswa baru tidak hanya bergantung pada regulasi formal, tetapi juga pada kemampuan sekolah dalam beradaptasi dengan kondisi lokal. Diperlukan kolaborasi yang baik antara sekolah, masyarakat, dan pemerintah untuk mewujudkan proses penerimaan siswa baru yang adil, transparan, dan inklusif.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the creative thinking skills of third-grade students at MI Muhammadiyah Romang Lompoa by implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. Creative thinking is one of the essential 21st-century skills that students need to develop early, especially in elementary education. However, preliminary observations indicated that students struggled to generate ideas, solve problems independently, and express original thoughts in class activities. To address this issue, a Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The participants of the study were 20 third-grade students. Data were collected through observation, creative thinking skill tests, and documentation. The results showed a significant improvement in students' creative thinking skills after applying the PBL model. All four indicators—fluency, flexibility, elaboration, and originality—showed noticeable progress from the first to the second cycle. These findings suggest that the PBL model is effective in fostering students’ creative thinking by engaging them in real-world problem-solving, collaborative discussions, and independent exploration. Therefore, the PBL approach can be recommended as a practical and impactful teaching strategy for elementary classrooms. Keywords: creative thinking, Problem Based Learning, classroom action research
