Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyse the contribution of policy and regulatory environment in measuring the Sustainable Tourism Index of Tourism Villages in Indonesia. The research focuses on four tourist villages, namely Penglipuran (Bali), Nglanggeran (Yogyakarta), Setanggor (West Nusa Tenggara), and Belitar Seberang (Bengkulu). This research uses a mixed method approach. The Sustainable Tourism Index from The Economist Intelligence Unit was developed in measuring the Sustainable Tourism Index of Tourism Villages in Indonesia. The results showed that the contribution of the policy and regulatory environment category in the formation of the Sustainable Tourism Index in Indonesia was 35.77 or with an average indicator performance of 89.54%. All tourist villages in Indonesia have conducted cooperation between public and private stakeholders and have conducted an inventory of tourism assets. Most of the tourist villages have village regulations on local tourism, milestones and action plans, monitoring and evaluation metrics as well as leasing and licensing for tourism activities and have a stable political environment. However, not all tourist villages have implemented global standards. In order to increase international tourist arrivals, global standards are needed in the management of tourism villages in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Social Media Marketing (SMM) and User Generated Content (UGC) on Purchase Intention of the local cosmetic brand Y.O.U among Generation Z students at Dehasen University. The research employed a quantitative approach using a purposive sampling technique with 55 respondents who are active Generation Z students. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination (R²) with SPSS version 22. The results indicate that Social Media Marketing has no significant effect on Purchase Intention (significance value 0.103 > 0.05), while User Generated Content has a positive and significant effect (significance value 0.000 < 0.05). Simultaneously, both variables have a significant influence on Purchase Intention with an R² value of 0.872, meaning that 87.2% of the variation in purchase intention can be explained by SMM and UGC. These findings highlight that user-generated content plays a dominant role in shaping Generation Z’s purchase intention toward Y.O.U products, while social media marketing activities need to be further optimized to effectively influence consumers’ buying decisions.

Abstract

Every company needs to pay attention to factors that can affect employee performance, such as educational background and work experience. Employee performance is an action taken by employees in carrying out the work assigned by the company. The purpose of this study is to determine whether educational background and work experience have a significant simultaneous effect on employee performance at PT. Raflesia Alam Sejahtera, Bengkulu Branch. This study is quantitative in nature, using association (intercorrelation) with research based on positivist philosophy to examine a specific population and sample. The data collection method in this study used a questionnaire technique, with a sample of 30 respondents. The results of this study show that the multiple linear regression is Y = -10.820 + 0.686 X1 + 0.547 X2 + 2.620. Where the coefficient has a positive and significant value, it means that there is a positive or unidirectional correlation between the variables of Educational Background (X1) and Work Experience (X2) in determining employee performance. The results of the educational background variable test show that t count 2.710 > t table 1.701 and significance 0.012 < 0.05, so the results of Ha hypothesis are accepted and Ho is rejected, meaning that educational background has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The results of the work experience variable test show that t count 2.423>t table 1.701 and significance 0.022<0.05, so the results of Ha hypothesis are accepted and Ho is rejected, meaning that work experience has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Based on a comparison of Fcount value with F table value, the value of Fcount is greater than Ftable, namely 155.025> 3.35, so it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted, meaning that there is a simultaneous influence between educational background (X1) and work experience (X2), which significantly contributes to employee performance. This is evident at a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05.

The data analysis used is quantitative analysis, with multiple linear regression methods, determination test, t test and F test. The results of SPSS 16.0 obtained multiple linear regression equations, namely Y = 5.059 + 1.087X1 + (-0.312) X2 + 0.0897 X3. The regression equation shows that there is a positive influence between work safety and work discipline, as well as a negative influence of health variables on work productivity at PT. Sandabi Indah Lestari (SIL) Seluma, and the work safety variable has the strongest influence on work productivity because it has the largest regression coefficient value, namely 1.087. Data collection was done using documentation and analysis methods with multiple linear regression analysis, test of determination and hypothesis testing. From the calculation of the multiple linear regression equation that Y = 170.508 + 3,340X1 + 9,447X2, because the direction of the regression shows a positive value, it means that the number of tourists and the number of hotel occupancy have a positive effect on Regional Original Income (PAD). The coefficient of determination is 0.829, which means that changes in the independent variables are able to explain the dependent variable at 82.9%, while the remaining 17.1% is explained by other factors outside the independent variables used in this study. Based on the test results with the t test, all independent variables have a small significant value of 0.05, it means that partially there is an effect on the number of tourists and the number of hotel occupancy on Locally-Generated Revenue (PAD) in Kaur Regency. Based on the results of hypothesis testing with the F test, the hypothesis is made that the number of tourists and the number of hotel occupancy affects the Regional Original Income (PAD) in Kaur Regency.
