Abstract

This study investigates the strategies in teaching English in rural school, SMPN 2 Plampang. The subjects of this study are the English teachers and the 6 students in SMPN 2 Plampang. Qualitative approach with case study was employed in this research. The instrument that used in this study involved semi-structured interviews, along with classroom observations, the researcher used smartphones to records the interviews in order to gather the data needed, for classroom observation, the researcher use observation sheets and videos of the classroom learning situation. Content analysis was used as the data analysis approach for this study. The result of this study indicates four strategies used by the teachers: 1) Translating words meaning; 2) Corse materials matching students’ level and learning situation; 3) Giving motivation; 4) Applying various teaching strategies. From students’ perspective, translating lessons into local languages can help them understand the lesson. Future research should evaluate the effectiveness of these strategies and explore the impact of rural education policies on English learning.

Abstract

This research discusses "The Application of Maja Labo Dahu Values in Conflict Resolution in Parado Subdistrict, Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara," with the following research questions: 1) What forms of conflict commonly occur in Parado Subdistrict, Bima Regency? 2) How are the cultural values of Maja Labo Dahu applied to resolve conflicts among the community in Parado Subdistrict, Bima Regency? This study is qualitative, employing a sociological approach. Data sources are obtained from both primary and secondary data. Data collection methods include direct interviews with informants, supported by other data from observation and documentation. The data analysis involves three stages: data reduction, data presentation (display), and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that conflict in the Parado community includes brawls between individuals and group fights. These conflicts, often sparked by the actions of young people, are primarily triggered by the tradition of joget (dance) parties and alcohol consumption. The application of Maja Labo Dahu values, such as patience in actions, the principle of family and deliberation, and mutual cooperation, is still seen as crucial for fostering harmony within the community of Parado Subdistrict. The implications of this study suggest the need for continued application of Maja Labo Dahu values. Additionally, there should be enhanced communication and exemplary leadership from local leaders who must focus more on improving harmony and solidarity. All parties must agree on abolishing the culture of dance parties and imposing strict regulations, along with penalties, on the distribution, provision, and sale of alcoholic beverages, whether from inside or outside the community. In particular, youth require serious attention, as proactive steps must be taken to safeguard future generations.

Abstract

Transaksi syariah telah berkembang pesat di Indonesia seiring dengan meningkatnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap prinsip ekonomi Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dampak transaksi syariah terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia melalui pendekatan literature review. Berbagai studi sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa sistem keuangan syariah memiliki kontribusi yang signifikan dalam mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi indonesia. Adapun kajian / aspek dari transaksi Syariah berupa perbankan Syariah dan inklusi keuangan, pasar modal Syariah sebagai sumber investasi, peran fintech syariah digitalisasi keuangan serta stabilitas ekonomi dan ketahanan krisis keuangan Syariah di Indonesia.

Abstract

This research investigates the significant effect of using phonetic-based materials, particularly the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), in teaching pronunciation skills to eleventh-grade students at SMAN 1 Mataram. Employing a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test model, the study involved 32 students from class XIF MIPA-6. Data were collected through pronunciation assessments using the Elsa Speak application, which analyzed students’ performance before and after treatment. The treatment consisted of structured lessons integrating phonetic symbols and guided practice across four meetings. The statistical analysis using a paired sample t-test showed a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores (t = 2.275 > t-table = 2.040, α = 0.05), indicating that phonetic-based materials positively affected students’ pronunciation skills. Despite the modest increase in mean scores (from 75.8 to 76.5), the improvement was statistically significant. The study concludes that the integration of phonetic-based materials is an effective approach to enhance English pronunciation among EFL students.

Abstract

The digital transformation in auditing drives the utilization of big data as a novel approach to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the audit process. Big data enables auditors to process large volumes of information in real-time and analyze complex transaction patterns, which potentially improves audit quality and fraud detection capabilities. This study aims to evaluate the impact of big data on audit quality and the effectiveness of fraud detection by external auditors in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to 50 external auditors with a minimum of three years of experience, employing purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that the implementation of big data significantly contributes to the improvement of audit quality and efficiency in identifying fraud. Auditors leveraging big data can detect anomalies more accurately and rapidly. The study recommends strengthening information technology competencies among auditors and developing audit systems based on data analytics. Future research should explore moderating variables such as industry complexity.

Abstract

ST Elevasi Miokard Infark (STEMI) adalah fase akut dari nyeri dada yang ditampilkan, terjadi peningkatan baik frekuensi, lama nyeri dada dan tidak dapat di atasi dengan pemberian nitrat, yang dapat terjadi saat istirahat maupun sewaktu-waktu yang disertai infark miokard akut dengan STEMI yang terjadi karena adanya trombosis akibat dari ruptur plak aterosklerosis yang tak stabil. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh health education terhadap persetujuan tindakan pemasangan stand Percutaneus Coronary Interventions (PCI) pada pasien dengan ST Elevasi Miokard Infark (STEMI) di Ruang UGD PJT RSUP Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Pre-experimental Design dengan rancangan One Group Pretest-Postest Design. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan accidental sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 pasien. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisa menggunakan uji Paired Sample T Test. Hasil penelitian didapatkan nilai mean ± SD pengetahuan sebelum health education yaitu 8,07 ± 4,792, sedangkan sesudah health education yaitu 21,53 ± 5,022. Hasil uji Independent Sample T Test diperoleh nilai thitung sebesar 15,421 > nilai ttabel sebesar 1,69913 dan nilai ρ=0,000 < α=0,05. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruh health education terhadap persetujuan tindakan pemasangan stand Percutaneus Coronary Interventions (PCI) pada pasien dengan ST Elevasi Miokard Infark (STEMI) di Ruang UGD PJT RSUP Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the use of bay leaves (Syzygium polyanthum) on organoleptic value and salt egg chemical content. The research design used was a complete randomized design of direct pattern with 4 treatments and 4 replications respectively. The treatments were without giving bay leaf (K0), giving 5% bay leaf (K1), giving 10% bay leaf (K2), giving 15% bay leaves (K3). Variable observed included organoleptic value (color, egg white consistency , aroma, flavor, fossils, whole), protein content, fat content and cholesterol content. The data were analyzed by variance analysis, if there were significant differences between treatments then tested further with Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The eggs were used as many as 160 duck eggs were divided into 4 treatments of bay leaf repeated 4 times, each replication amounted to 10 eggs. The results of the research on the organoleptic tests, which included color, consistency of the egg white, aroma, taste, packaging, and overall quality, showed that treatments K0 and K3 had the same level of preference from the panelists. Meanwhile, treatment K3 was able to significantly increase protein content and reduce fat and cholesterol content compared to the control treatment (P<0.05). Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the 15% treatment is the best level for organoleptic tests and the chemical content of salted eggs.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the process of transferring BMN through online auctions is carried out by close bidding and deletion of BMN using the SAKTI application system (central integrated) to replace SIMAK-BMN which is located at the research site of the Pompengan Jeneberang-South Sulawesi River Basin Research Center (BBWS). places of internship activities) which will be carried out in September 2022-December 2022 which will be continued with an extension of observations at the end of March 2023 on 3,385 Registration Serial Numbers (NUP) which include State Property (BMN) including fixed assets which are included in the category of equipment and machine. The results of the transfer in the form of online auction sales obtained a positive impact in the form of a deposit to the state treasury Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) which was included in the sale of the equipment and machinery category in the amount of IDR 22,300,000.00 also with an auction fee of 2% (2 percent) of IDR 446,000.00. The position of the Planned Need for State Property (BMN) in 2023 shows streamlining for maintenance spending in the data. The use of an application that makes it easier to detail research object data in the form of BMN which is included in the deletion process in the form of SIMAK-BMN but migrating to SAKTI as a new system that still needs to be adaptive in use and coordinate between parties so that it can run smoothly.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the forms of illocutionary and locutionary speech acts in the interaction between sellers and buyers at the Pattallassang Market, Takalar Regency. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed. Data were collected through direct observation, non-participant observation, and recording of conversations during market activities. The results revealed 24 illocutionary speech acts classified into assertive, directive, commissive, expressive, and declarative categories. Additionally, 14 locutionary acts were identified, including imperative, interrogative, and declarative forms. The findings indicate that various types of speech acts play a vital role in establishing effective communication, fostering interpersonal relationships, and achieving negotiation agreements. This study suggests that understanding speech acts enhances communication quality in traditional market interactions and reduces misunderstandings.
