Abstract

Currently the teaching materials used by teachers do not pay attention to the condition of students and their environment, because in general teachers still use conventional teaching materials as a guide in learning. This makes teachers very dependent on conventional teaching materials. This study aims to determine the quality of E-book teaching materials with a scientific inquiry approach in strengthening scientific literacy for elementary school students. This type of research is research and development (Research and Development) using the development model developed by Borg and Gall, and only taken 6 out of 10 overall stages. The subjects in this study were fourth grade elementary school students. The data collection instrument used in this study was a Likert scale questionnaire with qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive data analysis techniques. The results of expert validation research show that ebook teaching materials with a scientific inquiry approach can be said to be very feasible by experts according to the indicators of media feasibility, language feasibility, material feasibility. At the small-scale trial stage, the teaching materials developed also received a very good response from teachers and students. Thus the development of ebook teaching materials is expected to be an alternative learning so that concepts in science material can be conveyed properly and can strengthen scientific literacy in fourth grade elementary school students. Abstract

Background: The effectiveness of mentoring programs for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) needs to be evaluated in order to develop effective mentoring programs. Each MSME requires a different mentoring program, so it is necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of the existing mentoring program in order to design the next mentoring program. Purpose: This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the community empowerment program through mentoring MSMEs in improving the welfare of meatball traders in Jakarta implemented by Dompet Dhuafa. Design/methodology/approach: Data collection Analysis includes secondary data, field observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Analysis was carried out using triangulation techniques which included data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. Findings/Result: The research findings can be stated as follows: 1) Collective Mentoring Program: The research results show that programs that focus on mentoring groups have a significant positive impact on cohesiveness and unity in the meatball trader community. This collaborative support plays an important role in advancing the development of micro and small businesses. Apart from that, the mentoring program is also effective in increasing traders' motivation and knowledge in entrepreneurship. 2) Financial Assistance Programs: This study underscores the importance of financial assistance programs in providing the necessary capital for microenterprises. However, this suggests that this form of aid is more suited to meeting short-term financial needs than as a long-term solution. Conclusion: There are three types of mentoring programs carried out, namely Group Mentoring, Increasing Partner Capacity Through Training, and Financial Assistance. Of the three types of mentoring programs, mentoring groups, especially in forming cohesive and family groups (recruitment results), are considered the most effective in helping meatball traders survive during the pandemic. Especially in forming groups or communities that regularly hold meetings and collectively help solve problems, maintain the cleanliness of sales equipment (carts, plates, spoons, etc.), and try to develop or find out how to make the taste of these meatballs more popular. with customers. But what they appreciated most was a community meeting that had never been held before.Originality/value (State of the art): There has been no evaluation of this program so it is very important to evaluate the implementation and impact of the mentoring program on business continuity, in order to improve the mentoring program in the future. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Learning Model as a strategy to develop algebraic numeracy in junior high schools (SMP). The research employed a quasi-experimental design, specifically the pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design, involving 120 seventh-grade students divided into an experimental group (STEAM-based learning) and a control group (conventional learning). The main instruments included an algebraic numeracy test, a learning motivation questionnaire, observation sheets, and interview guidelines to explore qualitative aspects. Quantitative data analysis was performed using t-tests and effect size calculations to measure differences in learning outcome improvement between the two groups. The results showed that the experimental group achieved a significantly higher increase in algebraic numeracy scores compared to the control group. Moreover, classroom observations and interviews with teachers and students revealed that STEAM-based instruction enhances active participation, learning motivation, and collaborative skills. This positive impact is partly driven by the interdisciplinary integration, which makes algebraic material more contextual and engaging. Despite some obstacles, such as limited facilities and time constraints, the overall findings conclude that the STEAM Learning Model effectively contributes to strengthening students’ understanding of algebraic concepts in junior high schools. The practical implications of these findings underscore the need for teacher support and training, curriculum adjustments, and adequate resources to expand the implementation of STEAM across various schools

Abstract

The existence of cash in a company's financial balance sheet is an important component. Without cash, the company's activities will not be able to run. This research aims to analyze and provide empirical evidence regarding the influence of growth opportunity, net working capital, cash conversion cycle, cash flow, and firm size on cash holding in non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Stock Exchange of Thailand and National Stock Exchange of India in 2018-2022. This research uses secondary data collected. The data used is non-financial company financial report data from 2018-2022. The sample for this research was taken using a purposive sampling technique, namely determining samples that met certain criteria so that 269 companies were used as samples in this research. The research data was then analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS-SEM). Based on the test results using statistical tests, it shows that the growth opportunity and firm size variables have a significant negative effect on cash holding, the net working capital and cash flow variables have a significant positive effect, while the cash conversion cycle variable does not affect cash holding.
