Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to analyze Darwis Hude's thoughts on emotional intelligence and describe its relevance to the relevance of Islamic Religious Education. This study uses library research and focuses on studying emotional intelligence according to Darwis Hude which is contained in his book Emotions: Religious-Psychological Exploration of Human Emotions in the Qur'an. The analysis technique used is content analysis. The findings of this study are the relevance of emotional intelligence according to Darwis Hude, namely directing educators to understand emotional intelligence that will be able to control facial expressions, voice, attitude and behavior when carrying out the teaching and learning process in the classroom. The deeper a person studies his emotions, the deeper a person's faith. Because he knows that the emotions in him will produce something good if managed properly.

Abstract

Community Service (CS) is one of the main pillars of the tridharma of higher education, aiming to apply science and technology to provide direct benefits to society. The implementation of CS in Lam Isek Village, Peukan Bada District, Aceh Besar, focuses on skills training in sewing, making instant ginger powder, and making dragon fruit syrup. This program is designed to enhance the villagers' skills in processing local resources into value-added products to improve their economic independence. The training, involving universities such as Universitas Iskandar Muda, Universitas Serambi Mekkah, and several other institutions, successfully improved participants' abilities in sewing, producing ginger powder, and making dragon fruit syrup. As a result, participants gained new knowledge and the potential to start small home-based businesses, which can increase income and strengthen the local economy. This program has a positive impact on the welfare of the Lam Isek community and can serve as a model for future CS programs.

Abstract

The waste problem in Indonesia is a critical issue that has an impact on health, biodiversity, and ecological sustainability. With waste generation reaching 431,085.22 tons in 2022, education about waste management is very important, especially in the school environment. The University of Muhammadiyah Bone Community Service Program (KKN) at SDN 75 Locok implements the Eco-Sport movement that integrates environmental education with sports activities. Through this approach, students not only learn about recycling and waste sorting, but also actively participate in maintaining a clean environment. The results showed increased environmental awareness, social skills, and creating a cleaner and healthier school environment. This movement has the potential to form a generation that cares about environmental issues.

Abstract

The participation rate in sports activities among Indonesians remains low, with the Sport Development Index (SDI) in 2022 recording only 30.93%, a decline from 32.80% in the previous year. Simple kind of sport can be followed is gym. This study aims to introduce and promote basic gym movements such as bench press, squat, and deadlift to encourage greater engagement in sports activities. This research utilizes Deep Learning technology based on Graph Convolutional Network (GCN) to classify gym movement images into three classes: benchpress, squat, and deadlift. The study focuses on comparing various hyperparameters, including model type, batch size, and dropout, to determine the optimal configuration with the best performance.The results indicate that the GCN model achieved an F1 Score of 0.8667, demonstrating strong performance in classifying gym movement images. A simple web-based application was developed as an implementation to facilitate automatic gym movement classification.

Abstract

One of the factors that determine the achievement of educational goals is learning. Good learning can have a positive influence on students. Among the learning models that can be an alternative is learning based on an integrative expository and inquiry approach. The purpose of this learning model is for students to be able to integrate religious material with science, and have an inclusive, moderate, tolerant and respectful personality. This goal is very important because Indonesia is a sea of diversity in ethnicity, language, customs and religion. Learning through an integrative-expository and inquiry approach can be implemented in the Qur'an Hadith at Senior High School (SMA). Al-Qur'an Hadith is an important subject because it is related to the sources of Islam. In addition, high school students have begun to think critically, and can be brought into an integrative learning model of expository and inquiry. Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze the dynamics of spread and tissue damage due to infection with Black Band Disease (BBD) on Pachyseris sp. and Brown Disease (BrB) on Acropora sp. Additionally, the effect of ambient temperature on transmission rates was investigated. The results demonstrated that BBD on Pachyseris sp. caused progressive tissue damage, characterized by zones of necrosis and distinctive black bands separating healthy tissue from dead tissue. At 31°C, the disease transmission rate increased twofold compared to 29°C, with an infection rate reaching 1.72 ± 0.76 cm/day. BrB on Acropora sp. showed the highest infection rate reaching 2.20 ± 0.41 cm/day at 29°C with a bacterial concentration of 106 CFU/ml. However, the infection rate decreased significantly at 31°C for all bacterial concentrations tested. The disease propagated linearly along the coral branches, manifesting as yellowish-brown discolouration attributable to symbiont ciliate activity. The virulence of pathogens such as Acinetobacter sp. increased at 31°C, accelerating the spread of necrosis through the production of toxins and enzymes that damage the coral epithelium. BrB symptoms appeared within 2 days at 29°C and only 1 day at 31°C. This study confirms that high temperature and sedimentation play a key role in accelerating disease dynamics in corals. Increasing seawater temperatures due to global climate change create ideal conditions for the spread of disease, threatening the sustainability of coral reef ecosystems. To mitigate these challenges, a multifaceted approach involving environmental management, carbon emission reduction, and the development of biotechnology to enhance coral resistance to pathogens is essential.

Abstract

Facon menghasilkan data empiris hanya dapat membantu untuk sampai pada hasil deduktif yang benar-benar diketahui, sehingga memungkinkan pengetahuan berkembang dan teori-teori baru muncul. Metode logis harus diganti dengan induksi modern untuk memperoleh kebenaran ilmiah yang konkrit, praktis, dan logis mensistematisasikan prosedur ilmiah dan menghasilkan manfaat positif bagi umat manusia. Bacon berhasil menyebarkan metode induksinya sendiri, sehingga Bacon dikenal sebagai bapak filsafat modern. Kritiknya terhadap logika Aristoteles tradisional melahirkan teori logika modern. Pengaruh induksi yang diperkenalkan bernyanyi francis Bacon dapat memberikan donasi krusial pada metode berpikir yg menggantikan kesimpulan serta singgasananya. Penggunaan metode logika deduktif yang berlebihan dalam jangka panjang akan menyebabkan kematian sains, tidak mampu menaklukkan alam untuk membantu manusia bertahan hidup. Dengan demikian, tidak akan ada penemuan baru, karena nalar akan kembali menjadi nalar. Silogisme hanyalah pengulangan. Selain itu mengenai teori keilmuan John Stuarts Mill banyak akademisi menghadapi tantangan ketika menguraikan konsep atau filosofi dari tokoh-tokoh terkemuka, yang mengarah pada kebutuhan akan penjelasan yang lebih mendalam. Oleh karena itu, dalam menjelaskan gagasan John Stuart Mill tentang utilitarianisme, eksplorasi yang komprehensif akan dilakukan untuk memfasilitasi pemahaman yang lebih mudah diakses tentang kerangka kerja konseptual Mill. Mill memulai proses ini dengan memperkenalkan konsep baru yang dikenal sebagai "prinsip kegunaan", seperti yang telah dijelaskan sebelumnya. Prinsip ini menyatakan bahwa tindakan-tindakan secara moral adalah bajik dan adil jika mereka berkontribusi pada tujuan menyeluruh untuk memajukan keadilan, sebaliknya dianggap tercela secara moral jika mereka selaras dengan tujuan-tujuan yang jahat.

Abstract

Salah satu jenis tanaman yang dapat dikembangkan sebagai bahan baku produk olahan adalah buah pisang. Dengan memanfaatkan potensi buah pisang sebagai salah satu sumber karbohidrat, ternyata tidak hanya turut mensukseskan program diversifikasi pangan yang dijalankan oleh pemerintah Indonesia, namun juga memberikan peluang bisnis baru bagi pelakunya. Keripik pisang merupakan salah satu olahan dari pisang kepok yang banyak digemari oleh masyarakat dari semua kalangan. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui pelatihan produk olahan keripik pisang di Desa Lemusa Kecamatan Parigi Selatan adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan, kreativitas dan kemampuan dalam berwirausaha untuk meningkatkan nilai jual kripik pisang. Adapun mitra pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah kelompok masyarakat terutama ibu PKK Desa Lemusa Kecamatan Parigi Selatan. Hasil dari kegiatan pelatihan produk olahan keripik pisang oleh ibu-ibu PKK adalah mampu membuat keripik pisang yang renyah dengan berbagai varian rasa khas Desa Lemusa serta meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dengan cara pemasaran secara online agar kemasan keripik pisang sehingga lebih menarik untuk dipasarkan.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to expose students’ vocabulary size of SMPN 1 Sindue Tobata Donggala. Mixed methods design was utilized which involved two classes. The sample of this research was the grade VIII students of SMPN 1 Sindue Tobata which consisted 42 students and the informants were 4 students who are at good and poor score. Test and interview were distributed to collect the data. Vocabulary Level Test (VLT) was given to identify the word level of the students and interview was conducted to identify the factors that make students are difficult to master vocabulary. Therefore, the results of this research present that 27% students are at 2000-word level, 28 % students are at 3000-word level, 19 % students are at 5000-word level and 26 % students are not categorized or below the 2000-word level. Lack of strategy and interest in learning English are indicated as the internal factor. In addition, lack of media, technology and environment support are indicated as external factor. Thus, the teacher can provide some solution to bridge and solve the student’s problem in improving their vocabulary size.

Abstract

Pendekatan legalistik dalam perkara perdata sering kali belum mencerminkan keadilan substantif dan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan. Kondisi ini menuntut adanya pendekatan alternatif yang mampu mengintegrasikan aspek sosial dan etika dalam pertimbangan hakim. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana hakim memainkan peran sebagai pelindung nilai-nilai kemanusiaan melalui pendekatan naratif terhadap putusan-putusan perdata yang inovatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivisme dan pendekatan yuridis-sosiologis, dengan menganalisis lima putusan Pengadilan Negeri Medan yang sarat nilai kemanusiaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hakim progresif tidak hanya menafsirkan hukum secara fleksibel, tetapi juga menampilkan sensitivitas terhadap kerentanan sosial, mengakomodasi kearifan lokal, dan membangun narasi keadilan yang berorientasi pada empati. Para hakim juga berani mengambil langkah-langkah etik seperti menunda eksekusi, menolak ketentuan adat yang diskriminatif, dan menekankan martabat individu dalam pertimbangannya. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan naratif membuka ruang bagi peradilan yang lebih manusiawi, dan memperkuat pentingnya paradigma hukum progresif dalam praktik peradilan ke depan.
