Abstract

Smoking behavior has become a widespread health issue in almost all countries of the world. WHO states that tobacco use causes more than 8 million deaths each year, of which 7 million are active smokers and 1.2 million are victims of second-hand smoke. The increase in the number of active smokers in Indonesia, especially among teenagers, continues. According to Deputy Health Minister Dante Saksono, Indonesia currently ranks third in the number of active smokers in the world, after China and India. The total number of smokers worldwide reached 70.2 million people, or about 34.5 percent of the global population, which is 33.8% with the prevalence of youth smokers at 12.8%. This type of research is quantitative research with a cross sectional study design. The total population of this study was 708 respondents. The sample in this study was selected through proportional random sampling technique, namely 92 respondents. The dependent variable is smoking behavior and the independent variables are knowledge, attitude, parents, peers, and cigarette advertising. There is a relationship between attitude (p value = 0.000), peers (p value = 0.000) and cigarette advertising (p value = 0.000) with smoking behavior. There is no relationship between knowledge (p value = 0.549) and parents (p value = 0.049) with smoking behavior.

Abstract

Abstract. The Islamic Interbank Money Market (PUAS) plays a crucial role in maintaining national monetary stability by facilitating short-term liquidity transactions among Islamic banks under sharia principles. This study aims to analyze the operational mechanisms of PUAS, its contribution to the transmission of Bank Indonesia’s monetary policy, and the challenges faced within the dual banking system framework. The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach using secondary data from PUAS reports, national inflation statistics, and publications from Bank Syariah Indonesia (2020–2024). Findings indicate a significant rise in PUAS transaction volumes, reflecting growing liquidity needs among Islamic banks amidst inflationary trends and Bank Indonesia's policy rate adjustments. By utilizing contracts such as wadiah and mudharabah, PUAS serves as a sharia-compliant alternative to conventional liquidity instruments and strengthens the inclusiveness and resilience of the Islamic financial system against economic shocks. Keywords: PUAS, sharia liquidity, monetary stability, dual banking, monetary policy

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Healthy School program at TK Negeri Pembina 2 Merangin based on school sanitation standards. The evaluation focused on three main aspects: the availability and quality of facilities, the habituation of clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS), and school sanitation management. This research used a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Informants included school principals, teachers, UKS officers, the Education Office, the Health Office, and parents. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that while most sanitation facilities were available, they did not fully meet the standards. PHBS habituation was initiated but not evenly distributed. Managerial support from the school, especially budget allocation for facility maintenance and health education, needs improvement. This evaluation provides valuable input for schools and local governments to improve school sanitation policies.

Abstract

Breast milk is a liquid that contains white blood cells, immune substances, enzymes, hormones, and proteins that are suitable for babies. Breast milk is an ideal source of nutrition, rich in food essences that can accelerate the growth of brain cells and the development of the nervous system. In breastfeeding, mothers often experience anxiety caused by milk production. Breast milk production can be influenced by several factors, namely infant birth weight, gestational age, maternal age and parity, maternal stress/illness, smoking, alcohol consumption, consumption of contraceptive pills, maternal diet, husband and family support, breast care, type of delivery and hospitalization. when giving birth. Mothers who experience anxiety will cause the let-down reflex to occur, resulting in disruption of breast milk production due to inhibition of the production of the hormones prolactin and oxytocin. This study aims to The relationship between the anxiety level of breastfeeding mothers and the amount of milk production in Mothers who have babies aged 1-12 months in Sigumpar Dangsina Village, Sigumpar Health Center Working Area. Abstract

Hypertension is a non-communicable disease whose prevalence is increasing, including among adolescents. Low knowledge and preventive attitudes are factors that contribute to the high incidence. Social media, especially TikTok, as a platform favored by adolescents, can be used as an effective and attractive health promotion media. This study used a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest posttest approach. The sample consisted of 95 students of SMK Negeri 1 Kota Jambi who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The intervention was carried out through the delivery of educational videos about hypertension through the TikTok platform. Data collection was carried out using a knowledge and attitude questionnaire given before and after the intervention. Data analysis used Wilcoxon signed rank tests. The results of the analysis showed a significant increase in the knowledge and attitude scores of respondents after being given educational intervention through TikTok with a p-value <0.05. This shows that the use of TikTok social media is effective in increasing knowledge and forming positive attitudes of adolescents in preventing hypertension early on. Health promotion through TikTok social media has proven effective in increasing knowledge and changing adolescent attitudes towards early prevention of hypertension. TikTok's interactive and easily accessible media is a relevant and interesting educational tool for adolescents, so it can be used as an innovative health promotion strategy in efforts to prevent non-communicable diseases such as hypertension.
