Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze Model of improving employee through organizational commitment to Pulp Industry in Sumatera. The research method used descriptive quantitative. The sample of this study used probability sampling technique. The sample selection criteria was employees of the pulp industry in Jambi, Pekanbaru and Palembang. Beverage Development with a total of 240 samples obtained from Sumatera (Jambi, Pekanbaru and Palembang). Data analysis was performed by using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The data obtained was processed using a component-based or variance-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis which is known as Partial Least Square (PLS). It was found that the direct influence of competence, career development and extrinsic motivation and organizational commitment had a positive and significant effect on employee performance in pulp industry, then the indirect effect of competence, career development and extrinsic motivation had a positive and significant effect on employee performance mediated by organizational commitment.

Abstract

Research This study aims to examine the effect of transformational leadership on agency performance. The aim of this research is to explain and analyze the effect of transformational leadership style on the performance of village officials through innovative behavior in Sekernan Muaro Jambi District. The population of this research is the village government in 15 villages in Sekernan Muaro Jambi district. The sample size used was 105 respondents with a purposive sampling method. The analysis technique used is path analysis using the SmartPLS approach. The research results show that (1). Transformational leadership style has a positive and significant effect on innovative behavior (2). Innovative behavior has a positive and significant effect on the performance of village officials (3). Transformational leadership style has a positive and significant effect on the performance of village officials, and (4) Transformational leadership style has a positive and significant effect on the performance of village officials through innovative behavior as an intervening variable

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of bureaucratic leadership styles on job satisfaction through employee involvement as an intervening variable (A Study of the Industry and Trade Office of Jambi Province). This research uses a quantitative method with data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires to 79 respondents selected using purposive sampling techniques. By using analysis techniques with SmartPLS version 4.0 and analyzing data using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) techniques. The results of this study indicate that bureaucratic leadership style has a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction, Bureaucratic leadership style has a positive and significant influence on employee engagement, Employee involvement has a positive and significant impact on employee job satisfaction. Moreover, bureaucratic leadership style has a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction through employee engagement as an intervening variable at the Industry and Trade Office of Jambi Province. Testing the mediation effect shows that employee engagement can mediate the relationship between bureaucratic leadership style and job satisfaction, which means the higher the employee's engagement in taking responsibility for their work, the better the impact of bureaucratic leadership style on job satisfaction.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of entrepreneurial, financial, and digital literacy on micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) performance, with microfinance acting as a moderating factor. Conducted among 158 MSMEs partnered with Islamic microfinance institutions in Jambi Province, Indonesia, the research adopts a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares (PLS) to test the proposed model. The findings confirm that all three types of literacy significantly and positively affect business performance, with entrepreneurial literacy showing the strongest influence. Despite financial literacy being only moderately high and digital literacy still relatively low, both remain important predictors of improved business outcomes. Notably, microfinance plays a key moderating role by enhancing the impact of these literacies on performance, emphasizing its role beyond financial support toward capacity-building and knowledge empowerment. The results suggest that improving the literacy of microfinance managers and building partnerships with stakeholders, universities, and digital communities are crucial steps toward strengthening MSME resilience and competitiveness. This study contributes a novel empirical model from the perspective of micro-entrepreneurs, offering a foundation for future research that explores microfinance and MSME dynamics from both demand and supply perspectives to better support business sustainability in the digital economy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Village Government in making the Regent's Flagship Program One Village One Event a success through a case study of Baluluak Bajarami in Kumango Village, Sungai Tarab District, Tanah Datar Regency. This study uses Soerjono Soekanto's role theory (2013, cited in Mawarni et al., 2024) with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation studies, then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions according to Miles and Huberman. The results show that in the active role aspect, the Village Government acts as a figure and leader who carries out socialization, education, coordination, and controls and monitors each stage of the event. In the participatory role aspect, the contribution of human resources, materials, time, and the level of community participation in the implementation of activities is seen. Meanwhile, the passive role aspect is reflected in the attitude of the Village Government that values ​​​​initiatives, is open to other opinions, and values ​​​​every input for the sustainability of the event. The main supporting factors come from local cultural values, local government support, and community and migrant participation, while inhibiting factors include budget limitations. Therefore, strengthening coordination and sustainability strategies are necessary to ensure the event's optimal impact in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of work-life balance on employee performance with mental health as an intervening variable at LPP RRI Jambi. A quantitative method was applied using a survey approach by distributing questionnaires to 62 employees. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results indicate that work-life balance has a significant positive effect on both mental health and employee performance. Moreover, mental health significantly mediates the relationship between work-life balance and employee performance. These findings highlight the importance of creating a supportive work environment that fosters work-life balance to enhance employees’ mental health and overall productivity.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to see the extent of the role of Human Resource Management (HRM) in the Digital Era. The method used in this research is "systematic literature review (SLR)". The results of the study are that human resources can create value and need to be seen as an important part of interdepartmental business analysis. methodology used to view the perceptions of human resource management researchers regarding the function or role of human resource management in the digital world. These are all interrelated and will have a multiplier effect on improving individual and organizational performance. In conclusion, effective and appropriate Human Resources are needed so that individual and organizational performance can improve optimally and sustainably.

Abstract

Organizational restructuring serves as one of the key strategies to enhance the effectiveness of higher education governance, particularly in responding to the demands of digital transformation and national policies. This research aims to analyze change management in the restructuring of the Information and Communication Technology Development Agency (LPTIK) into the Technical Implementation Unit for Information and Communication Technology (UPA TIK) at Jambi University. The study focuses on the characteristics of the change, the change management strategies implemented, the challenges encountered, and the strategic opportunities arising from the restructuring. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with university leaders, UPA TIK leadership and staff, as well as information technology service users, complemented by document analysis. Data analysis was performed thematically, linking empirical findings to change management theories, including Lewin's model, Kotter's model, ADKAR, and McKinsey 7S. The findings indicate that the restructuring of LPTIK into UPA TIK constitutes a policy-driven and incremental organizational change, emphasizing structural adjustments and coordination pathways rather than comprehensive transformations in work processes and organizational culture. The implemented change management strategies were predominantly administrative and stability-oriented, successfully maintaining the continuity of information technology services in the short term. However, comprehensive implementation of change leadership, human resource management, persuasive communication, and change reinforcement systems remains lacking. This condition has led to symbolic resistance among staff and poses risks to the sustainability of the change in the long term. This study produces a conceptual model of change management, demonstrating that the success of organizational restructuring in higher education institutions is not solely determined by structural changes but is heavily dependent on the quality of change management strategies as a mediating variable. These findings contribute conceptually to the study of change management in higher education and provide practical implications for managing organizational restructuring in state universities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Kualitas Kehidupan Kerja (Quality of Work Life), dan Keterlibatan Kerja (Work Engagement) terhadap Kinerja (Job Perfomance) karyawan PTPN VI Nusantara Tebo Jambi. Perkembangan tuntutan organisasi menuntun perusahaan untuk menjaga kinerja karyawan melalui peningkatan kualitas lingkungan kerja dan keterlibatan kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuisioner yang di sebarkan kepada karyawan PTPN VI Nusantara Tebo Jambi. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 74 orang. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan software SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kualitas Kehidupan Kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kinerja Pekerjaan baik secara persial maupun simultan, Keterlibatan Kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kinerja Pekerjaan baik secara persial maupun simultan, dan Kualitas Kehidupan Kerja dan Keterlibatan Kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kinerja Pekerjaan baik secara persial maupun simultan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kesejahteraan dan keterlibatan karyawan dapat secara signifikan meningkatkan kinerja organisasi.
