Abstract

Pulo Aceh is rich in natural resources and local wisdom with high potential to become a tourist destination. However, community awareness of this potential is still low, encouraging us to find strategies to raise this awareness and develop entrepreneurial spirit among local students in the tourism industry. A qualitative method with a descriptive analysis approach was employed. The data collection techniques included observations and interviews with school teachers and several local people of Pulo Aceh. The findings revealed that Pulo Aceh’s natural landscape and resources play an essential role in the development of Pulo Aceh’s tourism. For the sustainability purpose, the awareness and skills in tourism businesses should be built from a young age, specifically in the middle school and high school levels. The knowledge and skills can be integrated into a school subject and taught through tourism business-related materials. Seven strategies were also proposed to build students’ entrepreneurial spirit, namely 1) linking lesson material to real life, 2) using technology, 3) applying project-based learning, 4) designing creative activities, 5) social involvement, 6) giving appreciation to students, 7) material flexibility and adequate information about future careers in the tourism industry. Through these strategies, it is expected that these young entrepreneurs are born and improve the region’s economy

Abstract

This study aims to dig up information on how students understand Islamic religion courses by using a basic semiotic approach to improve security in reading skills in Islamic religious course content. We conducted a series of debriefings with students from Sam Ratulangi University in the city. We obtained the data and analyzed it under a phenomenological approach which involved, among other things, interpretation of data grouping data and concluding to gain an understanding of validly answering study questions. Based on the results of interviews and analysis as well as gold, we can conclude that the understanding of Islamic religious course texts among student participants in general Islamic religious courses is categorized as good where students use a basic symbiotic approach to understand Islamic religious texts even though they have little understanding of Islam—considering that the majority of students at Sam Ratulangi University are not many who adhere to Islam. These findings will provide a new understanding and support studying students' academic skills using a basic semiotic approach.

To get the information, we needed to visit various sources of information, and we studied with a literature review system that involved data coding, evaluation, and interpretation of data. We did a virtual search of the data on several publications related to economic-based digital marketing issues during the pandemic. Finally, we concluded intending to get valid answers. Our data search was carried out electronically on several sources with a publishing period between 2010 and 2022 based on the results. This study is aimed to understand the challenges of the Indonesia’s local governments in the era where technology has transformed the public service system from a manual method to an all-digital application method. A series of efforts are made to discuss and find the solutions to the problem of the study. The data is searched electronically from literature sources including various publications such as journals, and other papers that are used as the data sources of this research. After a series of selection and searching for relevant data, the required data is finally collected. The data is examined through a phenomenological approach, referring to an effort in obtaining resilience from some existing data to get the answers for the discussed phenomenon, the challenges and roles of local government. The analysis process involves several techniques, including coding, verifying, evaluating, synthesizing, organizing, and carrying out in-depth interpretations that make it easier for the author to draw conclusions to answer the research problem with a good validity. The results of the data and discussion conclude that the challenges and roles given to the local governments in this reform era include the inconsistency of Bureaucratic Reform in the government and the challenges in adapting various dynamics such as pandemics and other crises, including the abuse of authority and indiscipline of the apparatus, especially the officials in carrying out their duties and functions as public servants. Thus, this research provides important results that complements and enlightens similar researches in the future.

Abstract

LRT or Light Rail Transit is an alternative to mass transportation from the outskirts to the city center, helping to cut travel time and is integrated with public transportation and activity center locations. LRT effectiveness needs to be supported by LRT stations, the factors included are passenger queues and access bridge. This research delves into an analysis of the queuing system and access bridge at Kuningan LRT station, Jakarta, focusing on the expected waiting time in the system (card tapping time) and the queue at the north and south entrances. The research methodology involved a combination of observation and analytical methods, including data collection on the dimension of the access bridge and LRT station and the use of Queuing theory with multiple single servers' models for data analysis. The research findings reveal that during peak hours, with an estimated daily influx of 10,990 passengers arriving at Kuningan LRT and 10,096 departing from it, the average number of people in the queue is less than one person, with no prolonged queues. The analysis of data presented in this study reveals that the design and construction of the Kuningan LRT access bridge align closely with the pertinent development regulations. The study contributes to the knowledge of queuing systems and provides insights into the number of people estimated to be queuing at the Kuningan LRT station and to forecast how many queues may form during peak hours.
