Abstract

This study scrutinizes the determinants of Non-Performing Loan (NPL) ratio within conventional banking institutions in Indonesia over the interval spanning from the first quarter of 2012 to the second quarter of 2025. The inquiry investigates both bank specific constituents, namely the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), a proxy for profitability (Return on Assets/ROA), and the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), alongside macroeconomic externalities, including economic growth (GDP), Inflation (CPI), and lending interest rates. Employing quarterly time series data, the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model is utilized to delineate short - term fluctuations and ascertain long-run cointegration. The bound test substantiates a robust cointegrating relationship among the variables, evidenced by an F-Statistic of 15.421, which exceeds the upper bound critical threshold at the 1% significance level. Estimation outcomes reveal that ROA emerges as the most dominant determinant, exerting a negative and significant influence, a finding consistent with the Bad Management Hypothesis. Conversely, CAR and lending rates demonstrate a positive and significant impact, aligning with Agency Theory and Credit Cycles Theory. Economic growth exhibits a negative and significant effect, thereby corroborating the Procyclicality Theory. Meanwhile, LDR and Inflation are found to exert no significant influence over the long term. The error Correction Model indicates a highly stable adjustment mechanism, with an exceptionally rapid speed of convergence amounting to 90.09% per quarter. These findings imply that sustaining bank profitability and implementing prudent lending rate policies are imperative for controlling NPLs. Consequently, regulatory authorities ought to monitor not only the adequacy of capital but also the behavior tendencies of banks in deploying their excess capital.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Pregnant women are a group that requires special attention in fulfilling nutritional needs and adopting healthy lifestyles. Slum environments often lead to limited access to health information, inadequate sanitation, and low maternal knowledge regarding balanced nutrition during pregnancy. These conditions can increase the risk of anemia, chronic energy deficiency, and other pregnancy complications. This community service activity aims to increase pregnant women's knowledge about balanced nutrition and healthy lifestyles through health education activities. Implementation methods include health education, interactive discussions, distribution of educational brochures, and pre- and post-activity knowledge assessments. The results of the activity indicate an increase in pregnant women's knowledge about balanced nutrition, healthy eating patterns, and healthy lifestyles during pregnancy. Health education has proven effective in raising pregnant women's awareness of the importance of nutritional needs and adopting healthy lifestyles. This activity is expected to improve maternal and fetal health and prevent complications during pregnancy. Keywords: Community Service, Balanced Nutrition, Pregnant Women, Healthy Lifestyle ABSTRAK Ibu hamil merupakan kelompok yang membutuhkan perhatian khusus dalam pemenuhan gizi dan penerapan perilaku hidup sehat. Kondisi lingkungan permukiman kumuh seringkali menyebabkan keterbatasan akses terhadap informasi kesehatan, sanitasi yang kurang memadai, serta rendahnya pengetahuan ibu mengenai gizi seimbang selama kehamilan. Kondisi ini dapat meningkatkan risiko terjadinya anemia, kekurangan energi kronis, serta komplikasi kehamilan lainnya. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil mengenai gizi seimbang dan perilaku hidup sehat melalui kegiatan penyuluhan kesehatan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi edukasi kesehatan, diskusi interaktif, pembagian brosur edukasi, serta evaluasi pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan ibu hamil mengenai gizi seimbang, pola makan sehat, serta perilaku hidup sehat selama masa kehamilan. Penyuluhan kesehatan terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran ibu hamil terhadap pentingnya pemenuhan gizi dan penerapan perilaku hidup sehat. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesehatan ibu dan janin serta mencegah terjadinya komplikasi selama kehamilan. Abstract

Perkawinan merupakan peristiwa hukum yang harus dicatat agar memiliki kekuatan hukum yang sah sesuai dengan Undang-Undang Nomor 1 Tahun 1974 tentang Perkawinan dan Peraturan Menteri Agama Nomor 20 Tahun 2019 tentang Pencatatan Pernikahan. Pencatatan pernikahan bagi umat Islam dilakukan di Kantor Urusan Agama (KUA) Kecamatan. Namun dalam pelaksanaannya, masih terdapat masyarakat yang belum memahami prosedur pendaftaran pernikahan sehingga sering terjadi keterlambatan pendaftaran dan kekurangan persyaratan administrasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan pendampingan langsung dalam pelayanan administrasi pernikahan di KUA Kecamatan Panyabungan selama bulan Januari sampai Februari 2026. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa prosedur pendaftaran pernikahan di KUA Kecamatan Panyabungan telah dilaksanakan sesuai dengan ketentuan melalui tahapan pemberitahuan kehendak nikah, pemeriksaan nikah, pengumuman, akad nikah, dan pencatatan pernikahan. Kendala yang sering terjadi adalah kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat mengenai persyaratan dan batas waktu pendaftaran. Melalui kegiatan pendampingan, masyarakat menjadi lebih memahami prosedur sehingga pelayanan dapat berjalan lebih tertib.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the discourse structure of the novel Gadis Pantai by Pramoedya Ananta Toer in representing hegemonic practices through linguistic aspects. The primary focus is on text-level analysis within Norman Fairclough’s critical discourse analysis framework. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with primary data consisting of narrative and dialogue excerpts that reflect power relations, particularly those related to social class and gender. Secondary data are drawn from relevant theoretical sources to support the analysis. Data were collected through documentation using reading and note-taking techniques, while data analysis was concentrated on the textual dimension of Fairclough’s model. The researcher served as the main instrument, supported by theoretical triangulation to ensure data validity. The findings indicate that the discourse structure at the textual level reveals the use of descriptive diction rich in ideological meaning. Lexical relations and contrasts are employed to emphasize differences in social positions among characters. In addition, the use of fragmentary sentences reflects the psychological pressure and power imbalance experienced by the main character. Cohesion and coherence also play a crucial role in constructing a consistent discourse that represents dominance by certain groups. Overall, the linguistic structure in the novel functions not only as a means of communication but also as an ideological tool to reproduce and reinforce hegemonic practices within a particular social context.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of social inequality in the novel Orang-Orang Proyek by Ahmad Tohari through a sociological approach to literature. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive-analytical design. The primary data consist of the novel text, while secondary data are derived from various supporting references such as books, journals, and scholarly articles. Data collection is conducted through a reading and note-taking technique, while data analysis employs content analysis with the researcher as the main instrument. The validity of the data is ensured through theoretical triangulation.2The results of the study indicate that social inequality in the novel is manifested in several main forms. First, there is inequality in access to power, where the project elites have full dominance in decision-making, while workers occupy subordinate positions. Second, economic inequality is reflected in the unequal distribution of capital and welfare between project authorities and laborers who face limited living conditions. Third, inequality in education and life opportunities is evident in the limited access of lower-class groups to self-improvement and social mobility. Fourth, there is unequal control over information and opportunities for political participation, which further strengthens the dominant position of the elites. In addition, structural domination is also reflected in practices that restrict the participation of lower-class communities in the development process.Thus, the novel represents social inequality as a complex structural phenomenon involving unequal relations of power, economic resources, and social access, while also illustrating how development actually widens the gap between elite groups and the lower classes.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of work environment and work motivation on employee performance at the Regional Research and Development Agency (Balitbangda) of Donggala Regency. Using a quantitative causal approach with saturated sampling, data were collected from 40 employees and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that the work environment has a positive but insignificant effect, while work motivation has a positive and significant effect on performance. Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence employee performance (R² = 0.826). These findings imply that strengthening employee motivation is more critical than improving the work environment in enhancing performance.
