Abstract

Gold is a investment that investors are interested in because it has relatively low risk and gold investment is not affected by inflation. Gold prices always change from time to time, so it is necessary to forecast gold prices as a basis for investors in making decisions. The forecasting method used in the fuzzy time series lee method. The purpose of this research is determine the world prices and determine the accuracy of the gold price forecasting value ortained using fuzzy time series lee method. The results of this research are forecasting gold prices in the period November 20, 2023 of US$ 63,89/grams and relatively the level of forecasting accuracy based on MAPE value of 0,540091% included in the very good criteria in forecasting gold prices.

Abstract

Max-Plus Algebra is the newly emerged mathematical object as one of the algebraic structures. Max Plus Algebra is a semi-ring with the maximum operation as its addition and the plus operation as its multiplication. In 2012, Carl et.al. established a novel notion about metric in max-plus geometry which is the semi-module over the semi-ring with maximum and addition biner operations. The writer researched to discover the distance function or metric, especially for the extended real-valued metric of Max-Plus Algebra and its properties with maximum and addition biner operations. By using both direct and indirect proof methods, the distance function of Max Plus Algebra and its topological properties were obtained.

Abstract

In some cases in applied mathematics, the continuous function is not used, but rather the weaker function, i.e. lower semi-continuous function from above. One of the basic properties of the function that needs to be known is the existence of the infimum value of the function image. In the case of a continuous function, the existence of infimum is assured by several assumptions, one of which is the function domain which is a closed set and the function is a bounded function. In this paper, we describe the properties that ensure the existence of infimum of the image of a lower semi-continuous function from above. Based on the results, it is found that the existence of infimum of the image of a lower semi-continuous function from above is assured in the domain which is a compact set and also assured if the function is a convex function.

Abstract

Prime submodule is the abstraction to module theory of prime ideal in ring theory.  A proper submodule N of an R-module M is called prime submodule if for all r in R and m in M such that rm in N implies r in (N:M) or m in N.  Prime submodule also generalized into weakly prime submodule and almost prime submodule.  This study deal with particular cases of both of them in Z-module M_2x2(Z_9), the three submodules are equivalent in case of non-zero submodule.
