Abstract

Transformasi alat tangkap nelayan di Pulau Barrang Lompo membawa pengaruh yang besar terhadap aspek sosial dan ekonomi komunitas nelayan di daerah tersebut. Penelitian ini berfokus untuk mengkaji pergeseran-pergeseran dari metode penangkapan tradisional menuju metode modern serta dampaknya terhadap  pola kerja, struktur sosial, dan kesejahteraan para nelayan. Metode yang diterapkan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui pengamatan langsung, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun alat tangkap modern berpotensi meningkatkan produktivitas dan penghasilan nelayan dengan modal memadai, mayoritas nelayan skala kecil masih bergantung pada alat tradisional karena keterbatasan modal, biaya perawatan yang tinggi, dan kurangnya pelatihan teknis. Faktor kenyamanan dan pengetahuan lokal yang diwariskan juga berkontribusi pada ketergantungan tersebut. Perubahan dalam teknologi ini tidak mengubah keharmonisan sosial dikalangan komunitas nelayan, karena terdapat pembagian wilayah tangkap yang jelas antara nelayan besar dan kecil. Namun, peralihan alat tangkap ini menciptakan tantangan baru dalam bentuk ketimpangan sosial dan kemungkinan dampak ekologis yang memerlukan perhatian. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan yang mendalam tentang dinamika perubahan alat tangkap serta konsekuensinya terhadap kehidupan sosial dan ekonomi nelayan di Pulau Barrang Lompo.

Abstract

This research analyzed “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe” movie. The analysis of this research focuses on the use of Politeness Strategies by the main characters, namely Peter Pevensie, Edmund Pevensie, Susan Pevensie, Lucy Pevensie, Jadis, Mr. Tumnus, and Aslan in “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe” movie. This research aimed to determine the kind of politeness strategies used by the main characters, and to find the meaning of politeness in the film. This research used a descriptive qualitative method. The data of this research were obtained from the transcript of “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe” movie. The data analysis applied using interactive model analysis which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion (Miles & Huberman, 2014). The results of this research indicated that there were 4 kinds of politeness strategies used by the main characters in the film, namely positive face/positive politeness, negative face/negative politeness, bald-onrecord, and off-record. In addition, this research also showed the meaning of politeness used by the main characters in the film. The meaning of politeness used by the main character is categorized into 2 types, namely denotative meaning and connotative meaning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tanggung jawab suami dalam pemberian nafkah bagi keluarganya dan akibat hukumnya terhadap putusnya pernikahan karena suami melalaikan kewajiban memberi nafkah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yuridis normatif dengan menganalisis Putusan No.2320/Pdt.G/2017/PA.MKS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tanggungjawab suami dalam pemberian nafkah bagi keluarganya adalah kewajiban yang harus ditunaikan sebagaimana yang telah diatur dalam UU Pernikahan tentang hak dan kewajiban suami istri. Adapun tiga nafkah yang ditegaskan diantaranya makanan, pakaian, dan tempat tinggal. Akibat Hukum terhadap putusnya pernikahan karena suami melalaikan kewajiban memberi nafkah ialah setelah akad nikah telah berlangsung dan sah memenuhi syarat rukun,akan menimbulkan akibat hukum. Demikian pula, akan menimbulkan kewajiban dan pula hak selaku suami istri saat berkeluarga. This study aims to determine the husband's responsibility in providing for his family and the legal consequences of the dissolution of marriage because the husband neglects the obligation to provide for his family. This study is a normative legal study by analyzing Decision No. 2320 / Pdt.G / 2017 / PA.MKS. The results of this study indicate that the husband's responsibility in providing for his family is an obligation that must be fulfilled as regulated in the Marriage Law concerning the rights and obligations of husband and wife. The three livelihoods that are emphasized include food, clothing, and shelter. The legal consequences of the dissolution of marriage because the husband neglects the obligation to provide for his family are that after the marriage contract has taken place and legally meets the requirements of the pillars, it will have legal consequences. Likewise, it will give rise to obligations and rights as husband and wife when starting a family.

Abstract

This research examines the influence of Human Resource Competence, Utilization of Information Technology, Organizational Commitment, Government Accounting Standards, and Good Government on the Quality of Local Government Financial Reports. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through questionnaires from 60 Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) employees in Padang City, selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using Multiple Linear Regression Analysis to measure the simultaneous effects of these factors on the quality of financial reports. The results indicate that human resource competence and utilization of information technology have a significant positive effect on the quality of financial reports. Organizational commitment has a minor effect. Government accounting standards and good government also have a significant positive effect, enhancing the transparency and accountability of financial reports. Overall, the competence of human resources, information technology, accounting standards, and good governance are important for improving the quality of financial reports, while organizational commitment has little impact.

Abstract

Perubahan pola hidup modern telah menyebabkan peningkatan prevalensi dislipidemia sebagai salah satu faktor risiko utama penyakit kardiovaskular. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi dan melakukan skrining dini terhadap risiko dislipidemia pada masyarakat di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Wonorejo, Kota Samarinda, Kalimantan Timur. Kegiatan dilakukan pada Juni 2025 dengan pendekatan partisipatif edukatif yang mencakup penyuluhan interaktif dan skrining profil lipid (kolesterol total, trigliserida, high-density lipoprotein (HDL), dan low-density lipoprotein (LDL)) kepada 50 warga. Sebesar 45 peserta berusia >46 tahun, dari total 50 orang, 82% memiliki kadar kolesterol total tinggi dan 70% memiliki kadar LDL melebihi normal. Sedangkan kadar HDL 88% peserta masih berada dalam rentang normal. Mayoritas peserta memiliki profil lipid yang menunjukkan risiko tinggi terhadap penyakit kardiovaskular. Kegiatan ini menegaskan pentingnya edukasi dan skrining rutin sebagai strategi promotif dan preventif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan kesehatan masyarakat di tingkat layanan primer.

Abstract

Differentiated learning using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is one of the innovative strategies implemented to meet the diverse learning needs of students in the classroom. This study examines the implementation of differentiated learning with the PBL model in Islamic Religious Education and Character Education subjects at SMAN 4 Palu, aiming to understand how the integration of these two approaches affects the learning process and student learning outcomes. The method used is a qualitative approach, which includes observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, as well as descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques to gain a comprehensive understanding of the experiences of students and teachers in implementing differentiated PBL. The results show that the approach is able to increase student engagement in learning, facilitate the development of critical thinking skills, and increase learning motivation, although there are some challenges in adapting the model to the subject matter. In conclusion, the implementation of differentiated PBL has great potential to improve the quality of learning and student learning outcomes as a whole.

Abstract

Pendidikan memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam membentuk kualitas sumber daya manusia yang unggul dan siap menghadapi tantangan global. Salah satu komponen utama yang harus diperhatikan dalam pendidikan adalah pengembangan keterampilan literasi, yang mencakup literasi membaca dan numerasi untuk memenuhi tuntutan Abad 21. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan instrumen literasi membaca dan numerasi berbasis AKM dengan bantuan aplikasi Quizizz untuk mengukur literasi membaca dan numerasi siswa dalam pembelajaran fisika di SMAN 5 Padang. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan model 4D, meliputi survei, wawancara, kuesioner, dan tes kepada siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan siswa kesulitan dalam memahami teks, menerjemahkan soal numerik, dan menyelesaikan soal kontekstual. Guru juga kesulitan dalam menyusun soal AKM untuk fisika. Penggunaan Quizizz membantu memberikan pengalaman belajar interaktif, dan umpan balik langsung. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan, instrumen berbasis AKM dengan Quizizz dapat mengukur literasi membaca dan numerasi siswa secara efektif dalam pembelajaran fisika.

Abstract

Introduction: Dental and oral health is an important aspect in supporting the quality of life of adolescents, but is often neglected due to a lack of knowledge and awareness of healthy eating patterns. Objective: To increase adolescent knowledge about the importance of consuming nutritious food in maintaining dental health. The activity was carried out in Bilalang Village, Gowa Regency, and was attended by 24 adolescents consisting of 14 female adolescents and 10 male adolescents. Method: The methods used included counseling, interactive discussions, and question and answer sessions regarding the types of food that are good for dental health and how to prepare them. Results: There was an increase in participant understanding after the education was provided. Before the activity, most adolescents did not know the relationship between diet and dental health. After the counseling, participants were able to name examples of healthy foods and how to prepare them properly. This activity proves that nutrition and dental health education has an important role in shaping healthy behaviors in adolescents. Conclusion: The series of community service activities with the theme "Nutritious Food for a Happy Smile: Nutrition and Dental Health Education for Adolescents in Bilalang Village, Gowa Regency" was successfully implemented, and there was an increase in adolescents' knowledge of nutritious food and dental health.

Abstract

Bronchial asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways that is often triggered by exposure to cigarette smoke, both active and passive. This exposure contains harmful substances such as nicotine, tar, and carbon monoxide that can irritate the airways, increase inflammation, and worsen asthma symptoms. This study aims to determine the relationship between cigarette smoke exposure and the incidence of bronchial asthma in patients at the Pulmonary Polyclinic of Dr. H. Moch. Ansari Saleh Regional General Hospital, Banjarmasin. The research method used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. A sample of 47 patients was selected through purposive sampling according to the inclusion criteria. Data were collected through questionnaires and medical records, then analyzed using the Chi-Square test (α = 0.05). The results showed that the majority of respondents were passive smokers (61.70%), had family members who smoked (57.45%), and were exposed to cigarette smoke daily (55.32%). All respondents had been diagnosed with asthma by medical personnel, and 91.49% reported worsening symptoms after exposure to cigarette smoke. The chi-square test results showed a significant association between cigarette smoke exposure and the incidence of bronchial asthma (p = 0.026). This finding confirms that cigarette smoke exposure is an important risk factor that must be avoided to prevent relapse and worsening of asthma. Therefore, patient and family education regarding the dangers of cigarette smoke, the implementation of smoke-free areas, environmental support, and smoking cessation programs need to be continuously improved as strategies for controlling bronchial asthma.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the strategies used by students to build their confidence in speaking English. In this study, the participants of this study were 11 students from the English Education study program at Universitas Muhammadiyah of Makassar. This research employed a qualitative method, where data was obtained through interviews with participants to explore their experiences and strategies in overcoming anxiety. The results showed that the students used various approaches such as independent practice, the use of audio-visual media, simulations, group discussions, and also the use of gestures. Through these strategies, many students were helped in overcoming anxiety and also made them more confident when speaking in public. Through self-practice, students can expand their vocabulary, improve their pronunciation, and prepare themselves to speak spontaneously in real situations. Meanwhile, the use of audio-visual media such as learning videos and technology-based applications also has a significant impact on supporting the learning process. This research has made an important contribution by highlighting students' active participation in finding ways to build their confidence independently. The research recommends further exploration of the long-term impact of this strategy on students' speaking ability in various contexts.
