Abstract

The implementation of BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) motors is very broad, both for the industrial world and for everyday household needs. This is because BLDC motor does not require brushes in its operation so it is more durable. This motor requires precise control to work optimally. This study aims to obtain conventional control so that it can be used properly. Based on the research, the BLDC motor could be modeled well in Matlab and has been tested through simulations. The test results showed that the developed model was able to represent the basic characteristics of the BLDC motor well and in accordance with theory. This modeling could be used as a reference in performance analysis and further development of BLDC motor control systems. PID control values were obtained by increasing and decreasing control values. Based on the test, the parameter values of Kp = 0.01 and Ki = 20 had successfully controlled the BLDC motor well. The system was able to respond to commands stably, steady-state errors could be minimized, and the motor speed could follow the desired reference value. This indicated that the control parameter settings used were effective enough to achieve BLDC motor control performance.

Abstract

Building awareness of the importance of proper land management is essential for ensuring the long-term sustainability of upstream watershed areas. This study investigated how land management practices emerge, evolve, and are adopted within the Social Forestry Program in the upstream Sekampung watershed. Exploration was focused on three key aspects: (1) the characteristics of social forestry participants as evidence of ongoing community social transformation; (2) the level of land management across different social, economic, and ecological contexts; and (3) the main factors influencing farmers’ decisions to implement sustainable land management practices. A total of 125 respondents were selected to represent program participants. Land management was categorized into biological and mechanical conservation technologies. A logistic regression model was applied to analyze the probability of farmers adopting conservation practices. Results showed that the Social Forestry Program has facilitated considerable social transformation by strengthening community participation and institutional support. It also promoted diverse land management practices adapted to local conditions. Logistic regression analysis identifies several key determinants influencing farmers’ decisions to adopt soil conservation: coffee plant age, farmer age, family size, land area, education level, and farming experience. The logistic model provides robust analytical grounding. It provides high-quality empirical evidence, interdisciplinary relevance, and policy-relevant insights, making it a valuable addition to the scientific literature on sustainable land management, community forestry, and smallholder resilience.

Abstract

This study critically examines the accreditation policy of Ma’had Aly (traditional Islamic higher education) in Indonesia within the broader discourse of decolonizing Islamic higher education. It aims to assess whether state-regulated accreditation standards, mandated by the Pesantren Law and implemented by the Majelis Masyayikh, align with the foundational epistemological and pedagogical traditions of pesantren. Employing a qualitative research design based on systematic document analysis, the study investigates primary legal sources, including Law No. 18 of 2019, Majelis Masyayikh regulations, and the Minister of Religious Affairs Regulation No. 941 of 2024. These are analyzed alongside seminal scholarly works on Islamic education. The analysis identifies four key findings. First, current accreditation policies heavily prioritize managerial and technocratic indicators such as administrative governance, standardized curricula, and data compliance while marginalizing the intellectual traditions of turats (classical texts) scholarship and embodied pedagogy. Second, the framework exhibits epistemic dependence by adopting Western quality assurance logic focused on institutional documentation and global competitiveness. Third, the system perpetuates colonial legal paradigms, emphasizing documentary legality as the primary basis for institutional legitimacy. Fourth, from a sociological perspective, public trust in Ma’had Aly remains rooted in scholarly lineage (sanad), the authority of the kyai, and intellectual reputation rather than formal accreditation status. Ultimately, the study advocates for a decolonial accreditation framework that authentically integrates discursive traditions, embodied Islamic knowledge, and the traditional scholarly authority of pesantren.

Abstract

Sepsis is a critical condition arising from the body's response to an infection. In Indonesia, the incidence of sepsis remains notably high, with mortality rates reaching 49%. At Dr. Tadjuddin Chalid Hospital Makassar, meropenem and ceftriaxone are extensively utilized as empirical therapies. Conducting a cost-effectiveness analysis is essential for ensuring rational and efficient decision-making in the selection of appropriate antibiotic therapy. This study aimed to compare the cost-effectiveness of meropenem versus ceftriaxone in treating patients with sepsis in the inpatient ward of Dr. Tadjuddin Chalid Hospital Makassar. A retrospective cross-sectional design was employed, utilizing the medical records of patients with sepsis. Data were analyzed using the Average Cost-Effectiveness Ratio (ACER) and Incremental Cost-Effectiveness Ratio (ICER) to ascertain the economic value of both antibiotics. The results indicated that the ACER value of meropenem was IDR 731,180.68, which was lower than that of ceftriaxone (IDR 775,021.41), suggesting that meropenem was more cost-effective. The incremental cost of IDR 667,206 indicates the additional expenditure required for meropenem to achieve a 1% increase in the proportion of patients with a length of stay of less than 17.4 days. The sensitivity analysis results align with the ICER analysis, which identified meropenem as more cost-effective, enabling robust conclusions. Treatment costs emerge as the key variable affecting the ICER, requiring primary consideration when interpreting cost-effectiveness results. In conclusion, meropenem is more cost-effective than ceftriaxone and can be recommended as an alternative antibiotic therapy for patients with sepsis from a pharmacoeconomic perspective.
