Abstract

This research aims to see the influence of the SSI approach in the context of controversial environmental issues on chemistry students' HOTS abilities. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a post-test-only control group design. The research subjects were 26 students in class A of the chemistry education study program as the control class and 21 students in the ICP class of the chemistry education study program as the experimental class. The instruments used are observation sheets and test questions that measure students' HOTS abilities. The results of this study show that the average post-test score of the experimental class using the SSI approach was 80.15, while the average score of the control class was 60.5. The t-test shows that this difference is statistically significant with a p-value of 1.122 x 10-5, well below the 0.05 significance level. Because the p-value obtained is much smaller than 0.05, we can reject the null hypothesis (H0), which states that there is no significant difference between the two groups. These results indicate that the SSI approach in the context of controversial environmental issues has a positive influence on chemistry students' HOTS abilities in electrochemical concepts.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian yang dilaksanakan pada semester genap Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023 ini, bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis miskonsepsi yang dialami peserta didik kelas X IPA SMA IT Wahdah Islamiyah Makassar pada materi reaksi reduksi oksidasi. Penelitian deskriptif ini, menggunakan desain sequental explanatory (model 2 fasa) yang terdiri dari pengumpulan data kuantitatif yang dilanjutkan dengan penjelasan data secara kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas X IPA 2 dan X IPA 3 SMA IT Wahdah Islamiyah Makassar. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes diagnostik three-tier multiple choice, angket dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase miskonsepsi peserta didik pada semua konsep materi redoks diatas 20%, hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa peserta didik mengalami miskonsepsi pada semua konsep materi redoks. Dimana persententase pada konsep perkembangan reaksi redoks sebesar 471, %, bilangan oksidasi 24,5%, autoredoks dan konproporsionasi sebesar 37,7%, reduktor dan oksidator sebesar 39,2%, dan tata nama senyawa sebesar 54,9%. Persentase tertinggi miskonsepsi peserta didik pada materi redoks terdapat pada konsep tata nama senyawa dengan kategori M1 atau spesifik miskonsepsi. ABSTRACT The research, which was conducted in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year, aims to determine the types of misconceptions experienced by students of grade X IPA SMA IT Wahdah Islamiyah Makassar on oxidation-reduction reaction materials. This descriptive research uses a sequential explanatory design (2-phase model) consisting of quantitative data collection followed by qualitative explanation of the data. The subjects of the study were students of grade X Science 2 and X Science 3 SMA IT Wahdah Islamiyah Makassar. The data collection technique used three-tier multiple choice diagnostic tests, questionnaires, and interviews. The results showed that the percentage of student misconceptions on all redox material concepts was above 20%, this indicates that students experience misconceptions on all redox material concepts. Where the percentage of tentase in the concept of redox reaction development is 47,1%, oxidation number is 24.5%, autoredox and proportionation is 37.7%, reducing and oxidizing agents is 39.2%, and compound nomenclature is 54.9%. The highest percentage of student misconceptions on redox material is found in the concept of compound nomenclature with category M1 or specific misconception.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul ajar terintegrasi green chemistry yang valid, praktis, dan efektif menggunakan ADDIE meliputi analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Penelitian di laksanakan di SMAN 9 Makassar pada Oktober-November 2023. Data pada penelitian ini yaitu kevalidan oleh 2 dosen program studi pendidikan kimia dengan intrumen kevalidan yaitu lembar validasi. Kepraktisan oleh 24 peserta didik dan 2 guru kimia dengan instrumen kepraktisan yaitu lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran modul ajar terintegrasi green chemistry, angket persepsi guru dan peserta didik serta keefektifan oleh 24 peserta didik yaitu tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: kevalidan modul ajar yang telah dikembangkan sangat valid dengan rata-rata nilai sebesar 3,64 dengan konsistensi antar rater adalah 1,00. Kepraktisan modul ajar berdasarkan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, persepsi guru dan peserta didik dengan rata-rata persentase kepraktisan berturut-turut sebesar 97,05%; 88,18% dan 94,79% pada kategori masing-masing sangat praktis. Keefektifan modul ajar berdasarkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas XI Kimia 2 SMAN 9 Makassar sebesar 84,51% dan telah memenuhi kriteria sangat efektif. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh yaitu modul ajar terintegrasi green chemistry yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. ABSTRACT This development research aims to produce a valid, practical, and effective green chemistry integrated teaching module using ADDIE including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research was conducted at SMAN 9 Makassar in October-November 2023. The data in this study are validity by 2 lecturers of the chemistry education study program with validity instruments, namely validation sheets. Practicality by 24 students and 2 chemistry teachers with practicality instruments, namely observation sheets for the implementation of green chemistry integrated teaching module learning, teacher and student perception questionnaires and effectiveness by 24 students, namely critical thinking ability tests. The results of this study are: the validity of the teaching module that has been developed is very valid with an average score of 3.64 with inter-rater consistency of 1.00. The practicality of the teaching module based on the implementation of learning, teacher and student perceptions with an average percentage of practicality of 97.05%; 88.18% and 94.79% in the category of very practical respectively. The effectiveness of teaching modules based on the critical thinking skills of students in class XI Kimia 2 SMAN 9 Makassar amounted to 84.51% and met the criteria of being very effective. The conclusion obtained is that the green chemistry integrated teaching module developed has met the criteria of valid, practical, and effective for use in learning.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyze misconceptions and diagnose the causes of misconceptions in learning chemistry on acid-base material experienced by high school students in the second year. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a squental explanatory design. The research subjects consisted of all students of class XI IPA 2 SMA Hasanuddin Gowa. The research instruments used include diagnostic tests and interview guidelines. Data were collected through two-tier multiple choice diagnostic tests supported by CRI (Certainty of Response Index) and interviews. The results of the analysis showed the presence of misconceptions in all indicators of the acid-base concept, with an average percentage of misconceptions exceeding 20%. The highest level of misconception was found in the concept of pH in the environment (63.0%), while the lowest misconception was found in the concept of acid-base indicators (33.3%). Diagnosis of the causes of students' misconceptions includes students' lack of mastery of chemical representations, the existence of intuitive and associative thinking, and students' lack of interest in learning chemistry.Keywords: Misconception, two-tier multiple choice, CRI, acid-base.

Abstract

Blogspot dalam studi literatur ini adalah jenis gabungan pembelajaran daring yang digunakan sebagai instrumen pembelajaran online. Studi ini menyoroti efektivitas dan kendala yang dihadapi dalam penggunaan Blogspot sebagai platform pembelajaran online. Pemilihan studi literatur ini memberikan kesempatan bagi peneliti untuk mengkaji berbagai penelitian terdahulu terkait penggunaan teknologi dalam pendidikan, khususnya Blogspot, serta memetakan berbagai temuan yang relevan. Adapun tahapan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah identifikasi Masalah dan Tujuan Penelitian, Pengumpulan Data Literatur, Analisis Data Literatur, Sintesis Temuan serta Pelaporan Hasil Penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil studi literatur yang dilakukan, penggunaan Blogspot dalam pembelajaran online memiliki kelebihan dan kendala yang perlu dipertimbangkan oleh para pengajar dan institusi pendidikan. Blogspot terbukti efektif dalam mendukung pembelajaran yang fleksibel, khususnya dalam kegiatan kolaboratif, penulisan, dan pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Fitur-fiturnya memungkinkan siswa untuk mengakses materi dengan mudah dan terlibat dalam diskusi online. Meskipun memiliki beberapa keunggulan, terdapat kendala yang signifikan dalam penggunaan Blogspot. Keterbatasan fitur manajemen kelas dan evaluasi dibandingkan dengan platform Learning Management System (LMS) lainnya merupakan salah satu tantangan utama. Selain itu, kesenjangan literasi digital antara siswa dan guru serta kesulitan dalam integrasi dengan sistem pembelajaran formal juga menjadi penghalang. Diperlukan pelatihan literasi digital bagi guru dan siswa menjadi penting agar pengguna dapat memanfaatkan fitur Blogspot secara optimal. Kata Kunci: Sosial Media, Blogspot, Media Pembelajaran, Efektifitas & Kendala, Studi Literatur

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana pemahaman peserta didik terhadap materi pendukung dapat berkontribusi terhadap pengembangan literasi sains. Peneliti mengumpulkan data dengan melakukan tes literasi sains. Selanjutnya hasil tes diperiksa dengan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan dikelompokkan berdasarkan derajat literasi sains. Temuan dari kajian data siswa mengenai potensinya dalam bidang sains. Jika dilihat potensi literasi sains peserta didik  dari segi pengetahuan diperoleh rata-rata indeks epistemik sangat buruk sebesar 29,41; rata-rata indeks prosedural sangat buruk sebesar 39,86; dan rata-rata indeks pengetahuan konten sebesar 44,6.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode Mind Mapping pada model pembelajaran SFE terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Tanralili pada materi pokok hidrokarbon. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode Mind Mapping pada model pembelajaran SFE dan pembelajaran tanpa menggunakan metode Mind Mapping pada model pembelajaran SFE, variabel terikatnya adalah hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok hidrokarbon. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X1 – X6 SMA Negeri 5 Tanralili. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling dan sampel penelitian terdiri atas 2 kelas yaitu kelas X1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh dari tes hasil belajar siswa yang terdiri atas 20 butir soal pilihan ganda yang telah divalidasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Pengujian hipotesis yang dilakukan dengan uji t menghasilkan thitung > ttabel = 2.54 > 2,01 pada ═ 0,05 untuk hasil belajar siswa, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh metode Mind Mapping terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Tanralili pada materi pokok hidrokarbon.

Abstract

This study is a quasi-experimental research that aimed to know the effect of mobile learning “ChemOnDro” android based media in discovery learning to student achievement of class X SMA Negeri 8 Bone on subject matter of electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution. The study design used is "pretest-posttest control group design". The population was all the student of class X MIPA SMA Negeri 8 Bone which is consists of six classes. The sampling technique is random sampling, that the sample are a class X MIPA 1 as an experimental class and class X MIPA 2 as a control class. The independent variable is mobile learning “ChemOnDro” android based media in discovery learning model and discovery learning model without mobile learning “ChemOnDro” android based media, and the dependent variable is student achievement. Result of analysis prerequirement of inferential statistic toward n-gain result, show that the data in experiment class and control class didn’t distributed normaly, but it has homogen varians. The hypothesis test done using with parametric test by Man-Withney with ∝=0.05 was done with zcalculated > ztable (2.07>1,64). Based on these data, it can be concluded that there is an effect of mobile learning “ChemOnDro” android based in discovery learning to student achievement of class X SMA Negeri 8 Bone with subject matter of electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution.

Abstract

This study aims to know the influence of audiovisual media in PBL model towards learning outcomes of XII MIA students SMA Negeri 2 Makassar on subject matter redox reaction and electrochemistry cell. Pretest-posttest control group design was used for all of XII MIA class SMA Negeri 2 Makassar with a total of 351 students as the study population. The study sample that was determined randomly are XII MIA3 as experimental class was taught through PBL model with audiovisual media and XII MIA4 as control class was taught without audiovisual media on PBL model, while as a dependent variable is learning outcomes of students. Non-parametric test (Mann-Whitney test) used on data that are not normally distributed with ∝=0.05 and dk=1.64 was done with Zcalculated > Ztable (4,659>1,64) which means that H0 unaccepted and H1 accepted, it can be concluded there is influence of audiovisual media in PBL model towards learning outcomes of XII MIA students SMA Negeri 2 Makassar on subject matter redox reaction and electrochemistry cell.

Abstract

Chemistry learning requires an understanding of complex abstract concepts. The Discovery Learning model has been applied to improve student understanding, but the verification stage in this model is often an obstacle in connecting the concepts found. This study compares the verification of concept maps and mind maps in improving student learning outcomes. The research method used is comparative descriptive, with two experimental groups each using concept maps and mind maps. The research instruments include learning outcome tests, assessment rubrics, and observations. The results showed that concept maps support systematic understanding more, while mind maps are more effective in developing flexibility of thinking. The verification process plays a role in correcting student misconceptions. These findings provide insight for educators to adjust learning methods to improve understanding of chemical concepts.
