This research involved 19 postgraduate students majoring on Science Education at one university in Surabaya who were programming Earth and Space Sciences course. The objective of this research is to measure students’ ability in designing a lesson plan for sustainable education on environmental issues around volcanoes by integrating education for sustainable development (ESD) competence. Descriptive quantitative analysis was employed to assess the lesson plans developed by the students. In general, the results showed that the lesson plans were less contextual to support the improvement of decision-making abilities on the environmental issues, the emergence of environmental awareness among students, encouragement to the students to have sense of belonging to the environment, and fostering critical analysis of various environmental phenomena. The results suggest further efforts to improve professional competence of the postgraduate students in developing geoscience learning instruments, particularly related to integrate the ESD competence into lesson plans.

This study is an experimental study that aims to analyze students’ problem solving abilities in appyling the problem based learning (PBL) learnig model assisted by VLP software and wants to know the student’s response to the integrated physics learning of volcanoes. The research method uses Quasi Experiment quantitative research with Post-test Only Design. The reasearch subjects used were 65 students of class XI MIPA 1 and XI MIPA 2 at SMA Tamansiswa Mojokerto City. Rhe data collection instruments used were students response questionnaire sheets and problem-solving ability test sheets. The result showed that there was an increase in students’ problem solving abilities after applying VLP software assisted problem based learning in volcano integrated physics learning. The student responses obtained from the integrated volcano physics learning are that students are more active and enthusiastic in using VLP software for training solve a volcanic problem, students’ desire to ask questions increases, and they are active discuss with groups in solving volcanic disaster mitigation problems. The conclusion of the research is that by applying problem based learning to physics learning assisted by VLP simulation software, it can improve students’ problem solving abilities and provide good responses in learning.

Online learning imposed by government as an impact of the COVID-19 pandemic affected students’ ability to understand the authentic problem. Authentic problem used to train students’ ability to apply their knowledge in physics. This research mainly discusses about the students' levels understanding of the authentic problem that is SARS-CoV-2 airborne transmission using the SOLO taxonomy. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach using eight questions related to SARS-CoV-2 airborne transmission. Data collected via online survey platform and analyzed by calculating the percentage of student's level of understanding for each given question. The result shown that 59% student included in pre-structural level, 19% included in uni-structural level, 10% included in multi-structural level, 3% included in relational level, and 10% included in extended-abstract level.

This research aims to analyze the implementation of multi-representation learning on climate change topics integrated fluid dynamics to improve students' problem-solving skills and analyze student responses to multi-representation learning on climate change topics integrated fluid dynamics. The type of this research is quantitative research with a pre-experimental that uses a one-group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted in XI MIPA-1 at Senior High School 4 Sidoarjo with 36 students. Data collection techniques in this research used tests with test instruments in the form of description questions and questionnaires (responses) on a Likert scale. The data analysis technique is N-gain for the description test instrument and descriptive for student response questionnaires. The results of this research obtained the score of N-gain is 0.565 with a category of the medium. The results of student responses carried out using a Likert scale questionnaire for ten statements had positive and very positive results with a percentage of more than 77%. Thus, it was concluded that learning multi-representation could improve students' problem-solving skills with the topic of climate change integrated with fluid dynamics and elicit positive and very positive responses from students.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the scope related to the subject of problem-solving skills based on multiple representation in 2016 – 2020 with 20 documents through bibliometric analysis. The research method used was a literature study through all the articles analyzed in this study. The articles were taken from the Scopus database with sampling in 2003 – 2020, resulting in 29 scientific work data exported in *.ris (RIS) and *CVS formats. Then, those data were processed using VOSviewer and Microsoft Excel. The results of publications in the last five years have increased. Indonesia is the dominant country in publicizing papers about this topic. Institutions from Germany managed to publish most of the documents about multi representation. Meanwhile, Poland is the origin country of the authors with most publications. The visualization of research trends on multi representation resulted in four main clusters: (1) multi representation related to students, representation, and learning processes (2) multi representation as a class (3) multi representation related to the problem (4) multi representation as a model and process. Meanwhile, Indonesian researchers are very active in contributing to this topic, in line with the number of publications by country, namely Indonesia.

The Covid-19 pandemic that hit Indonesia impacts the field of education. The learning process is usually carried out face-to-face has turned into online learning. This study aims to see the effectiveness of online learning based on the learning process, the achievement of learning objectives, and the obstacles experienced by students and teachers when doing online learning at SMA Negeri 2 Ponorogo during the Covid-19 pandemic. The quantitative descriptive method was used in this research. The online survey was used by using a questionnaire instrument through Google Form and cognitive tests. The results showed that online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic often used the WhatsApp platform and school e-learning websites. Respondents were interested in taking physics lessons during the pandemic online because respondents used many learnings. Based on the cognitive test results, the mean value of the respondents was <60 and did not meet the graduation criteria. The result shows that the respondents do not understand the materialof work and energy.. The obstacles experienced by respondents were difficulty understanding the material and questions in the form of statements on work and energy materials and limited quotas and internet networks. Based on the questionnaire, it was found that the effectiveness of online learning was 57%. It can be concluded that online-based physics learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMA Negeri 2 Ponorogo on adequate energy and business materials was carried out as a substitute for face-to-face learning.
