Abstract

Abstract: This study examines the psychological response to the Covid-19 pandemic in fantasy stories. This psychological response is reflected in the characterization of the characters in the fantasy story. The data of this research are narrative quotes, dialogue quotes, and fantasy story paragraphs that contain direct and indirect psychological responses. The data source of this research is a fantasy story with the theme of the Covid-19 pandemic written by grade VII students of MTsN Gresik. The theme of the fantasy story that was used as the data source was also determined, namely the Covid-19 pandemic. This theme is adapted to the circumstances experienced by students at this time. Data collection in this study was carried out in several steps. First, convey material related to understanding, structure, linguistic elements, and steps to writing fantasy stories to students. Second, assigning students to write fantasy stories according to predetermined themes. Third, observe and carefully read the fantasy stories written by students. Fourth, identify data and adjust it to the research focus. Fifth, code the data. Sixth, classify and describe the data. From the data analysis that has been done, several psychological responses were found. First, a cognitive response in the form of a character's knowledge of the Covid-19 pandemic. Second, affective responses related to the emotions of characters in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. Third, a conative response in the form of actions taken by figures in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk respons psikologis terhadap bencana pandemi Covid-19 dalam cerita fantasi. Respons psikologis ini tercermin pada penokohan tokoh dalam cerita fantasi tersebut. Data penelitian ini berupa kutipan narasi, kutipan dialog, dan paragraf cerita fantasi yang mengandung respons psikologis secara verbal. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah cerita fantasi bertema pandemi Covid-19 yang ditulis siswa kelas VII MTsN Gresik. Tema dari cerita fantasi yang dijadikan sumber data juga ditentukan yaitu pandemi Covid-19. Tema ini disesuaikan dengan keadaan yang dialami siswa pada masa ini. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan beberapa langkah. Pertama, menyampaikan materi terkait pengertian, struktur, unsur kebahasaan, dan langkah-langkah penulisan cerita fantasi kepada siswa. Kedua, memberikan penugasan ke siswa untuk menulis cerita fantasi sesuai tema yang sudah ditentukan. Ketiga, mengamati dan membaca secara saksama cerita fantasi yang ditulis siswa. Keempat, mengidentifikasi data dan menyesuaikan dengan fokus penelitian. Kelima, memberi kode pada data. Keenam, mengklasifikasikan dan mendeskripsikan data. Dari analisis data yang telah dilakukan, ditemukan beberapa respons psikologis. Pertama, respons kognitif berupa pengetahuan tokoh terhadap pandemi Covid-19. Kedua, respons afektif yang berkaitan dengan emosi tokoh dalam menghadapi pandemi Covid-19. Ketiga, respons konatif berupa tindakan yang diambil tokoh dalam menghadapi pandemi Covid-19.

Abstract

This study was aimed to produce complement book material for short stories appreciation course that satisfied some aspects in the term of content, presentation, linguistic and display as well as (2) to describe the effectiveness result of the complement book of short stories appreciation course based on the field trials. The developing model used in this study was adapting the research model of Research and Development (R&D) by Borg and Gall. The product was validated by experts; short stories expert, short stories appreciation expert, and material design expert. The result of the product validation, then, divided into four aspects, such as content, presentation, linguistic, and display. Based on the validation, it showed that the product was accepted well by the students. It can be seen from the mean of the posttest, 70. So it can be concluded that the product was effective and can be applied in the teaching learning activity.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa buku penunjang materi kuliah apresiasi cerpen yang memenuhi aspek kelayakan isi, penyajian, kebahasaan, dan tampilan serta mendeskripsikan hasil uji keefektifan buku penunjang materi kuliah apresiasi cerpen berdasarkan hasil uji coba di lapangan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengadaptasi model R & D (Borg dan Gall). Produk yang telah dikembangkan, divalidasi oleh ahli, yang meliputi ahli cerpen, ahli pembelajaran apresiasi cerpen, dan ahli desain bahan ajar. Aspek yang divalidasi, yaitu isi, penyajian, kebahasaan, dan tampilan. Hasil uji keefektifan produk ini dapat diterima dengan baik oleh mahasiswa. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat pada rata-rata hasil postes mahasiswa sebesar 70 bila dibandingkan dengan rata-rata hasil pretes mahasiswa sebesar 37,81. Dengan demikian, produk yang telah dikembangkan dapat dikatakan efektif dan dapat diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Abstract: Teaching materials are an important part of the learning process. Teaching materials developed in this research and development are teaching materials in the form of textbooks. The textbooks developed serve as reference material or supplement the main textbooks used in the learning process. The research was aimed to produce exposition text teaching materials based on local wisdom that meet the requirements of (1) valid, (2) systematic, (3) communicative, and (4) interesting. In research and development, expert validation is done to find out the validity of teaching materials. Based on data analysis from the validation of experts, practitioners and students it can be concluded that this teaching material is valid and ready to be implemented.Abstrak: Bahan ajar merupakan bagian penting dalam proses pembelajaran. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan pada penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah bahan ajar berupa buku teks. Buku teks yang dikembangkan berfungsi sebagai bahan acuan atau suplemen buku teks utama yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar teks eksposisi berbasis kearifan lokal yang memenuhi syarat (1) valid, (2) sistematis, (3) komunikatif, dan (4) menarik. Pada penelitian dan pengembangan, validasi ahli dilakukan untuk mengetahui kevalidan bahan ajar. Berdasarkan analisis data dari validasi ahli, praktisi, dan peserta didik dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar ini valid dan siap diimplementasikan.

Abstract

This research and development aims to produce instructional materials for exposition text writing which can improve students writing skill and environmental awareness. Research and development models used is the development model Four-D model (4D) from Thiagarajan, Dorothy, and Melvyn. 4D model consists of four stages, define, design, development and disemination. 4D models have been selected and systematic measures that are specifically designed to develop a teaching device. Results of readibility test, validation test, and testing of the product showed that the exposition text instuctional material can be implemented.Tujuan penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah menghasilkan bahan ajar bermuatan cinta lingkungan untuk siswa SMP kelas VII yang layak dari segi isi, penyajian, bahasa, dan kegrafikaan. Model penelitian dan pengembangan dalam tulisan ini mengadaptasi Four-D Model milik Thiagarajan, Semmel, & Semmel (1974). Sesuai namanya, Four-D Model memiliki empat tahap, yaitu Define (penetapan), Design (Perancangan), Develop (Pengembangan), dan Disseminate (penyebarluasan). Model ini dipilih karena memiliki langkah-langkah dan yang dirancang khusus untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil uji keterbacaan, uji validasi, dan uji coba, bahan ajar ini layak untuk diimplementasikan.

Abstract

The problem that exist in writing narrative text are (1) learning writing done conventionally without considering the instruction of narrative writing stage, (2) student difficulty in developing the ability of creative thinking. The purpose of this research is to improve student’s creativity of writing narrative of  grade Jatinom elementary school district of Blitar through Rally Coach method with media picture. The research procedure includes pre-action, cycle I, cycle II. The subject of the research is the fourth grade Jatinom elementary school district of Blitar. Research result indicates the pre-action 33,33%, cycle I 55,56% and cycle II 88,89%. Permasalahan yang ada dalam menulis narasi adalah (1) pembelajaran menulis narasi dilakukan secara konvensional tanpa mempertimbangkan petunjuk tahapan menulis narasi dan (2) siswa kesulitan dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kreativitas menulis narasi siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Jatinom 01 Kabupaten Blitar melalui model Rally Coach berbantuan media gambar. Prosedur penelitian meliputi pratindakan, siklus I, dan siklus II. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Jatinom 01 Kabupaten Blitar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada pratindakan 33,33%, siklus I 55,56% dan siklus II 88,89%.

Abstract

Abstract: This development research aims to produce a product in the form of teaching materials for writing short stories containing character values through family film media for class XI students and producing supplementary guidelines for using short story writing teaching materials for teachers and students. This development research model uses the 4D development model which consists of four steps, viz define, design, development, and disseminate. Validation test results of expert and practitioners in terms of content, presentation, language, and appereance with qualifications worth implementing. Effectiveness test results are normally distributed> 0.05 and the significance obtained is 0.00 <005.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk bahan ajar menulis cerpen bernilai karakter melalui media film keluarga untuk siswa SMA kelas XI dan menghasilkan panduan pelengkap penggunaan produk bahan ajar menulis cerpen bagi guru dan siswa. Model penelitian yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan 4D (four D model) terdiri atas empat langkah, yaitu define, design, development, dan disseminate. Hasil uji validasi ahli dan praktisi dari segi isi, penyajian, bahasa, dan tampilan dengan kualifikasi layak diimplementasikan. Hasil uji keefektifan terdistribusi normal >0,05 dan signifikansi yang diperoleh sebesar 0,00<005.

Abstract

This study aims at developing animated movie series for children as learning media to boost Indonesian young learners’ critical thinking. The product specification is as follows: (1) animated movie series help children practice their critical thinking using the designed patterns; (2) the content of the movie contains moral values for character building in Indonesian multicultural society; (3) the language exposure in the animated series is comprehensible for children, and (4) the development of the story is through naturalistic style. The design of this study is adapted from R2D2 (Recursive, Reflective, Design and Development) by Willis (1995). The result of this study is six animated movies which has been tried out for the designed participants

Abstract

This paper aims at explaining the implementation of RAWAC (Reading and Writing across Curriculum) in teaching essay for college students. Using an action research based integrated with hermeneutic technique, this study was conducted in Kelompok Belajar Mahasiswa (Student Study Club) at Ganesha University of Education, Bali. The result of the study indicates that this model is able to synchronize the excellent aspects of reading-writing and metacognition as those give benefits to the students in terms of strengthening their critical thinking in exploring ideas, their discipline attitude during the process of planning, monitoring, and evaluating concepts, and also strengthening the students’ self-regulated learning in writing essay. Implementing RAWAC improve the students’ ability in writing essays, especially in exploring ideas, organizing the writing, choosing the diction and enhancing their writing technique.

Abstract

Peace-loving short stories have a great opportunity in boosting a tolerant character for the nation’s next generation. This character is very important to be developed in response to the lack of tolerance in the current era of information disclosure. This mechanism is carried out by integrating the load of tolerance characters in learning to write short stories. Through learning to write short stories, students can show a tolerant attitude in developing story ideas, characters, characterizations, conflicts, and storylines. This study aims to develop peaceful short story text teaching materials to strengthen the peace-loving character. Apart from internalizing the peace-loving character, creativity also needs to be trained in students to prepare them for the time being. Creativity is a basic skill needed by the students to be ready to compete in the 21stcentury. This research uses the research design and development model of Borg & Gall. Based on the validation test, this teaching material is categorized as valid and suitable for use. The form of assignment in this teaching material is also systematically designed to train aspects of creativity which include originality, elaboration, and flexibility. Efforts are also made to develop stories in this teaching material to expose the peace-loving character. The aspects of peace-loving character that are exposed in this teaching material include tolerance, empathy, sympathy, equality, and altruism. Abstract

BIPA (the acronym of Bahasa Indonesia untuk Pelajar Asing) is one of the Indonesian-language learning programs for foreign learners. Understanding entry-level of student competencies are very useful as a starting point for preparing learning according to their learning needs in future lectures. This study aimed to describe how to assess student competence before conducting the lecture to determine their learning needs. This study used a qualitative and quantitative approach conducted in BIPA lectures involving seven lecturers as informants and 159 students as samples. Data were collected through document analysis, interviews, and tests. Qualitative data were used to describe the essential learning materials studied in BIPA lectures. Quantitative data were analyzed using the statistical tool 'Pearson Product Moment to assess entry-level competencies of students before taking courses. The results showed that the entry-level of students were in a low category. The correlation showed that the Grade Point Index (GPI) achieved in the previous lecture did not contribute significantly to student understanding in BIPA lectures because of the different substantial topic of the subjects. The low entry-level test scores reflect the students have not mastered the essential materials for BIPA lectures so they need to study them seriously. These findings can be used as a reference in determining the learning needs of students in the BIPA special program lectures. Therefore, these findings are useful for designing learning and determining policies that can meet the learning needs of students.
