This study aims to examine the activeness of student learning towards science subjects in junior high school. The research method used was a mixed research method with an explanatory design. The subjects were students of junior high school amounted to 148 students. The analysis of data using statistical techniques descriptive for quantitative data and analysis Miles Huberman for qualitative data. The results of the five indicators show that students are categorized as having good learning activeness on the indicator "High Curiosity (45,3%)" "Dare to Take Risks (73,7 %) ". "Wanted for New Experiences (55,4 %)". And "Proactive (57,4 %)". Then, students are categorized as having sufficient learning activeness on the indicator "Never Give Up (45,3 %)". The high percentage of the five indicators is supported by the results of interviews stating that students have a high curiosity seen from students who is actively asking questions and also not only rely on the material provided by the teacher, students have dared to make their own decisions and dare to face the problems given by the teacher without fear of being wrong, students are enthusiastic in conducting experiments or experiments because through theoretical experiments can be easier to understand and through experiments learning experiences can be obtained directly, and students are always looking for opportunities to learn and involved in learning activities, and students have a high enthusiasm for learning science but they are not confident in their abilities.

This study aims to analyze the correlation of students' perceptions of e-module toward students' basic science process skills. The subject of the study were second semester students of Department of Physics Education in Universitas Jambi. This research used a mixed-method research with data collection instruments consisting of student perception questionnaire, observation sheet of students' science process skills, and also interviews. From the results of data analysis, students' perceptions were in the good category with an average of 74.95, and the basic science process skills of students were also in the good category with an average of 69.08. Based on the correlation test conducted there is a significant relationship between the level of student perception of e-module with students’ basic science process skills using Pearson correlation values 0,927, and Sig. (2-tailed) 0.00 at a significance of 1%.

In physics learning, the ability to understand concepts is an important indicator, but in fact one of the problems found is that there are still students who experience misconceptions. Misconception refers to a concept that is incompatible with the scientific understanding accepted by experts. This article as a literature review aims to find out the misconceptions experienced by students in some physics material. This research method is a national literature review article for the years 2017-2020 which is in accordance with the researcher's keywords. Based on the results of the literature review, there are still students who experience misconceptions on geometric optical material by 37.62% (intermediate level), thermodynamics at 28.04% (low level), effort and energy by 24% (low level), dynamic fluid by 29 ,21%, Mechanical Waves by 26.9%. Misconceptions cannot be known directly so it is necessary to carry out a diagnostic test that can distinguish students who understand concepts, do not understand concepts and those who do not. There are many ways that can be used to identify misconceptions, one of which is using a four-tier diagnostic test.

Perception is a person's assessment of the object or information. The purpose of this study was to determine how students perceive and see which students have a positive perception of the e-module physics-mathematics matrix based on gender differences. The type of research used is survey research. The research approach used is quantitative research. The research population is Jambi University physics education students with a total sample of 120 students. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical data analysis and inferential data analysis with Anova and post hoc Tukey B tests. The results of the study through the Anova test showed that female students and male students obtained sig. smaller than 0.05, namely 0.001 and 0.037, which means that the perception is significantly different from the post hoc results of the Anova test as a whole, indicating that the average perception does not have a significant difference. Male students have a more positive perception than female students. Gender differences that exist in students have an influence on student perceptions. Student perceptions can be used as a guide for lecturers to choose learning media that will be used in the classroom. This research can be used as a guideline for the development of student perception assessments on the mathematical physics e-module in the future with an update in this study, namely student perceptions of the mathematics physics e-module based on gender differences.

This study aims to determine whether or not there are differences in student perceptions of the Physics Mathematics I e-module product on vector material based on gender differences. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inferential analysis. The target of this research is the students of the Physics Education Study Program at the University of Jambi, class of 2019, which consists of three classes, namely Regular A, Regular B, and Regular C with a research sample of 90 students using simple random sampling. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and used normality, homogeneity, and ANOVA tests where the significance was more than or equal to 0.05. The results of the ANOVA test showed that there were differences in perceptions based on gender with a significance value of 0, 037 in women and 0.022 in men. Furthermore, in the post hoc test or Gabriel's further test, it showed that in class A and B with a significance of 0.047 for the female gender. While the male gender in class A and C has a significant difference with a significance value of 0.033. Compared to male gender, women have more dominant differences due to biological factors, where women use their emotions as opposed to men whose thoughts are more realistic.

Teachers need to know how science process skills and students' critical thinking skills are. This study aims to see the relationship between science process skills and critical thinking skills so that teachers can determine the appropriate learning methods to improve science process skills and critical thinking skills. The sample used by the researcher was class IX junior high school Adhyaksa 1 Jambi City, which amounted to 58 students. The sampling technique in this study using cluster sampling. The research design used in this study is an associative quantitative research method with a correlational research design. Quantitative analysis uses the SPSS program to find descriptive, normality tests, linearity tests, and correlation tests. The results showed that the significance value obtained was less than 0.05. It was seen that there was a relationship between students 'process skills and students' critical thinking abilities.

The purpose of this study was to determine student attitudes towards learning physics in high schools in the city of Jambi and Batang Hari. The method used is a survey type quantitative research method. The data collection technique in this study used purposive sampling technique with the research instrument used was a questionnaire instrument. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the study, attitudes based on indicators of social implications, scientist normality, and attitudes towards physics research conducted at SMAN 8 Jambi City with the physics attitudes at SMAN 10 Batang Hari can be concluded that the results displayed are different from the category results and the number of respondents. So that there are different conditions from the two SMAs. This comparison also shows that SMAN 8 Kota Jambi shows a better attitude seen from the percentage and number of respondents.

The NHT (Number Head Together) learning model is a learning model that has a structure designed to influence student interaction patterns. The NHT learning model emphasizes students to work together in finding, processing, and reporting information. This model can make students more communicative during the physics learning process. The use of conventional learning models will generally make students bored and uninterested in learning physics. In physics subjects, teachers generally use conventional learning modelsStudents' boredom will arise when learning using conventional models. The purpose of this study was to describe students' responses to the application of the NHT type cooperative learning model. The benefit of this research is to know the student's response to the application of the NHT type of cooperative learning model, as well as the application of the NHT type of cooperative learning model in physics learning. This study used a mixed method research design. The data in this study were analyzed using the triangulation method. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The subjects in this study were high school students. The results showed that some respondents responded quite well to the application of the NHT type of cooperative learning model in physics learning, and some of them responded well to the application of the NHT type of cooperative learning. In learning physics, the use of learning models affects the continuity of the teaching and learning process which will have an impact on the knowledge and learning outcomes possessed by students.
