Abstract

The sustainability of psychosocial impacts from long-distance parenting programs depends heavily on the availability of post-intervention social support systems. This article examines the process of strengthening the role of the Muhammadiyah community as a psychosocial support system and family resilience node for diaspora families in Malaysia and Hong Kong, as one of the outputs of the 'Family Resilience in the Digital Era' International Community Service (PMI) program. The program's third session, held on May 24, 2026, specifically focused on strengthening two of the four Family Resilience pillars, Communication and Emotional Support, through building a digital community support network, conducted entirely via Zoom Meeting and involving 38 participants from Malaysia and Hong Kong. Results showed the formation of two community communication groups, the Malaysia Diaspora Parenting Group and the Hong Kong Diaspora Parenting Group, which remained active after the main activity as spaces for consultation, experience sharing, and mutual reinforcement among diaspora parents. This article analyzes the role of an Islamic value-based community in sustaining the psychosocial resilience of migrant families and formulates a sustainability framework replicable in other Muhammadiyah diaspora communities.

Abstract

Digital transformation encourages organizations, including non-bank financial institutions, to strengthen technology-based leadership while cultivating a digital culture and digital capabilities to achieve sustainable organizational performance. This study aims to analyze the influence of digital leadership on sustainable organizational performance and examine the mediating role of digital culture and employee digital capabilities. A quantitative approach was used with the Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method on data collected from 166 BMT employees in the Purwokerto and Purbalingga areas. The results show that digital leadership has a positive effect on digital culture, employee digital capabilities, and organizational performance. Furthermore, digital culture is shown to mediate the relationship between digital leadership and sustainable organizational performance; This finding is categorized as partial mediation because the direct influence of digital leadership remains significant. Conversely, employee digital capabilities are unable to mediate the relationship between digital leadership and organizational performance. These findings indicate that digital culture plays a significant role in supporting sustainable organizational performance, while individual capabilities have not shown a significant mediating role. This research provides theoretical contributions to the development of digital leadership literature as well as practical recommendations for non-bank financial institutions to prioritize strengthening digital culture in order to promote organizational sustainability

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of safety knowledge and safety climate on safety performance with safety behavior as a mediating variable in nurses at Ananda General Hospital, Jatiwinangun General Hospital, and Wijayakusuma Hospital. This study reviews the increasing concern for occupational safety in the healthcare sector, where nurses have high levels of exposure to biological risks, procedural errors, and intense workloads that can impact both workforce safety and patient safety. A total of 203 nurses participated as respondents, and data were collected using a standardized survey instrument. The analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to evaluate the direct and indirect relationships between variables. The results showed that safety knowledge had no effect on safety performance, safety climate had an effect on safety performance, safety knowledge had an effect on safety behavior, safety climate had an effect on safety behavior, safety behavior had an effect on safety performance, safety behavior mediated the effect of safety knowledge on safety performance, and safety behavior mediated safety climate on safety performance. This conclusion indicates that understanding safety procedures and working in an environment with a good safety climate tends to increase safety behavior. The influence of both is strengthened through safety behavior as a mediator, which reflects the effectiveness of implementing safety practices in hospitals.

Abstract

Introduction: This study examines the effects of work motivation, job satisfaction, and self-efficacy on employee performance in culinary micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Purwokerto.Method: This study used a quantitative explanatory design with a survey method. Primary data were collected through a five-point Likert scale questionnaire from 107 employees of 19 culinary MSMEs selected using purposive sampling. Respondents were active non-owner employees, had worked for at least six months, were directly involved in operational activities, and worked in culinary MSMEs located in West, East, North, and South Purwokerto. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics version 26.Results: Work motivation had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a regression coefficient of 0.250 and a significance value of 0.002. Job satisfaction also had a positive and significant effect, with a coefficient of 0.225 and a significance value of 0.001. Self-efficacy had a positive but insignificant effect, with a coefficient of 0.034 and a significance value of 0.635. Simultaneously, the three independent variables significantly affected employee performance, as indicated by an F-value of 12.893 and a significance value below 0.001. The model explained 27.3% of the variation in employee performance, with an adjusted R-square of 25.2%.Conclusion and Recommendations: Work motivation and job satisfaction are important factors in improving employee performance, while self-efficacy does not have a significant direct effect. The limited adjusted R-square indicates that factors outside the model also influence employee performance. Culinary MSME managers should strengthen clear work targets, fair task distribution, communication, proportional rewards, and practical training. Future studies should include additional variables and use a broader probability-based sample where a reliable population frame is available. Abstract

Introduction: The success of an organization depends on its workforce, particularly in the healthcare sector where nurses play a crucial role in service quality. This study aims to examine the effects of transformational leadership, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among nurses at Wijayakusuma Hospital Purwokerto, a military-based hospital. Methods: This study employed a quantitative approach using a saturated sampling technique involving 101 nurses as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4 software. Results: The results indicate that transformational leadership and job satisfaction have no significant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), whereas organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on OCBConclusions and Recommendations: Organizational commitment is therefore considered a highly effective strategy for enhancing Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among nurses, particularly in military-based hospitals. Based on these findings, future research is recommended to re-examine the nurse population at Wijayakusuma Hospital Purwokerto to ensure the consistency of these results, considering that the observed pattern of relationships differs from that reported in most previous studies. Abstract

Previous studies have reported inconsistent findings on the raelationship between transformational leadership and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), while the simultaneous mediating roles of quality of work life and organizational commitment remain underexamined in local public-sector organizations. This study examines the association between transformational leadership and OCB and analyzes the mediating roles of quality of work life and organizational commitment among employees of the Health, Population Control and Family Planning Office of Cilacap Regency. Using a quantitative cross-sectional survey, data were collected from all 171 employees through saturated sampling. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. The findings show that transformational leadership is positively associated with OCB and quality of work life, but not directly associated with organizational commitment. Quality of work life is positively associated with organizational commitment and OCB, while organizational commitment is positively associated with OCB. Mediation testing indicates that quality of work life significantly mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and both organizational commitment and OCB, whereas organizational commitment does not significantly mediate the relationship between transformational leadership and OCB. These findings extend Social Exchange Theory by showing that leadership in a local public-sector setting supports extra-role behavior primarily through improved quality of work life.

Abstract

Implementation of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) in elementary schools often faces practical obstacles, such as the inconvenience of carrying liquid soap for handwashing. This community service program aimed to enhance hand hygiene knowledge and practice among students at MI Muhammadiyah Tegalpingen through the production of eco-friendly tissue soap. The method used was a descriptive community engagement approach consisting of hand hygiene education, tissue soap-making demonstration, hands-on practice, and evaluation. A total of 20 sixth-grade students participated in this program. The results showed high student engagement and enthusiasm during the interactive session. The program generated two main outputs: physical products in the form of portable, practical tissue soap, and non-physical benefits including enhanced practical knowledge and direct experience in hand hygiene. Combining verbal education with hands-on product creation proved to be an effective and engaging method for promoting PHBS among primary school students.
