Abstract

This article is based on the lack of parents’ knowledge to create a pleasant and exciting atmosphere for children, the lack of parents’ knowledge to make children feel unpressured by a sudden change, the lack of parents’ knowledge on children’s perceptions of risk and fears, and the lack of parents’ knowledge to educate the children when the children were getting a failure. Hence, the research in this article is aimed to find out the effect of smart parenting media on parents' knowledge regarding resilience for 5–6 years old children. The research used a quantitative research approach with experimental research. The population of the research involved 30 parents and the sample used was 30 parents who have children aged 5–6 years at Pembina Kindergarten Tempuling in Indragiri Hilir. The data collection technique was used through a true-false objective test. The results showed that there was an effect of the use of smart parenting media on parents' knowledge regarding children's resilience. It can be seen from the results of scores and percentages from the pre-test to the post-test. Thus, there is an effect of using smart parenting media on parents' knowledge regarding the resilience of children aged 5–6 years.

Abstract

Based on observations of parents at Kindergarten Al-Azhar 54 Pekanbaru, it was found that most parents had limited knowledge regarding the dangers of gadget use. Many parents provided excessive freedom to children in using gadgets, did not control the duration of gadget use, did not limit internet content accessible to children, lacked understanding of the impacts of gadget use, and were not able to properly guide children in using the internet appropriately.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Smart Parenting media on parents’ digital mediation skills during the pandemic at Kindergarten Al-Azhar 54 Pekanbaru. This study employed a quantitative experimental research design. The sample consisted of 34 parents who had children aged 5–6 years at Kindergarten Al-Azhar 54 Pekanbaru. Data were collected using a true–false objective test.The results showed that there was a significant effect of the use of Smart Parenting media on parents’ digital mediation skills. This was indicated by a tcount value of 18.848, which was greater than the ttable value of 2.035, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted, indicating a significant effect of Smart Parenting media on parents’ digital mediation skills. The magnitude of the effect was 78.14%, meaning that 78.14% of parents’ digital mediation skills were influenced by the use of Smart Parenting media.

Abstract

Living healthily and cleanly is sometimes neglected by parents and teachers to be taught in a programmed and sustainable manner. Teachers often assume that parents have taught hygiene and healthy living habits at home, even though it is not certain that every parent understands the proper way to live healthily and cleanly in early childhood. Meanwhile, parents feel that teachers must have taught clean and healthy lifestyle habits during learning activities at school. In fact, teachers are more preoccupied with children’s learning achievement, which tends to focus on academic knowledge. Using a literature study method, this article aims to assist teachers in understanding the importance and implementation of a clean and healthy lifestyle in early childhood education. The role of kindergarten teachers is to stimulate character education related to healthy and clean living, which should become a priority in all aspects of learning. A clean and healthy lifestyle can be applied in schools through: (1) instilling values of clean and healthy living through health education, (2) carrying out extracurricular activities that incorporate clean and healthy lifestyle behavior values for students, and (3) conducting counseling activities and collaborating with the government health office.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepercayaan diri pada anak usia 5-6 tahun sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan media animal magic box di PAUD GPI Hosana Fun Kid’s. Jenis penelitian ini eksperimen kuantitatif dengan desain rancangan penelitian model pre eksperimen one group pretest posttest design. Populasi penelitian adalah 56 anak usia 5-6 tahun di PAUD GPI Hosana Fun Kid’s Palas Pekanbaru, sampel yang digunakan adalah anak kelas B3 dengan jumlah 20 anak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa kepercayaan diri anak sebelum perlakuan dengan persentase 40% kemudian diberikan perlakuan terjadi peningkatan dengan persentase 45,31%. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu melalui observasi, dan data primer yaitu dilakukan secara langsung oleh penelit. Analisis data menggunakan uji t-test. Hasil analisis data diperoleh thitung = 4,056 lebih besar dari ttabel = 1,729 dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa media animal magic box berpengaruh terhadap kepercayaan diri pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di PAUD GPI Hosana Fun Kid’s Palas Pekanbaru. Dapat disimpulkan dalam penelitian ini terdapat pengaruh media animal magic box sebelum dan sesudah terhadap kepercayaan diri pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di PAUD GPI Hosana Fun Kid’s Palas Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Pengetahuan anak usia 5–6 tahun di PAUD Al-Qisthi Teratak Buluh Kabupaten Kampar tentang mitigasi bencana banjir masih belum berkembang secara optimal. Diperlukan media pembelajaran yang konkret dan menarik untuk meningkatkan pemahaman anak sejak dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media Diorama City terhadap pengetahuan anak usia 5–6 tahun dalam mitigasi bencana banjir. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan eksperimen kuantitatif dengan desain One Group Pretest–Posttest. Populasi penelitian terdiri atas 16 anak usia 5–6 tahun dan seluruhnya dijadikan sampel melalui teknik sampel jenuh. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan lembar kerja anak (LKA) sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan anak yang signifikan setelah penggunaan media Diorama City, ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan skor rata-rata dari 36,98% pada pretest menjadi 85,42% pada posttest. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan nilai thitung lebih besar daripada ttabel pada taraf signifikansi 0,05. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media Diorama City berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan anak usia 5–6 tahun dalam mitigasi bencana banjir. Media ini mendukung pembelajaran yang konkret, aktif, dan menyenangkan sehingga membantu anak memahami langkah-langkah mitigasi bencana banjir secara lebih bermakna.
