Abstract

In the current era of globalization, HR management has become the main focus in achieving success for a company. Quality human resources will provide significant benefits and help companies gain competitive advantage amidst increasingly fierce business competition. This can be seen from HR’s ability to achieve company goals optimally through effective HR management practices. This research was conducted to examine the influence of motivation, work environment, leadership style, and discipline on work productivity. This research uses a quantitive method using a google form containing questions that are distributed to respondent. The total sample in this study was 342 respondent, the data was processed using SPSS version 26. The research result showed that the variables motivation, leadership style, and discipline had a significant effect on work productivity while the work environment had no significant effect.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the impact of talent management practices on organizational performance as well as human resources in the four-star hospitality industry sector in Batam City. The research uses quantitative methods as well as the application of SPSS as an analysis tool. Has respondent results with data from 251 hospitality employees using Google forms as a medium for the dissemination of questionnaires. The results of the research show that talent attraction and talent development have a significant positive impact on organizational performance as well as human resources. However, talent retention has no significant impact on the performance of the organization and the human resource. Thus, talent management practices such as talent attraction and talent development can be important factors in improving corporate performance and human resources in the four-star hospitality industry in Batam City. This research contributes to understanding how talent management practices can have an impact on organizational performance as well as human resources in the hospitality sector. These results can provide guidance for companies in developing more effective human resource management strategies for organizational goals and sustainable growth.

Abstract

Amid the company's rapid growth, various new issues continue to emerge. Therefore, the performance and potential of employees must be maximized by the business. A company's success is a direct result of the people who work there. The research aimed to determine how Generation Z employees in Batam performed in leadership, training, motivation, work environment and weaknesses. This research uses various methods to test hypotheses regarding variables that may influence the performance of Generation Z employees in Batam City. Quantitative research methods were used on 385 respondents as research samples. The collected data was checked for outliers, evaluated for data validity and reliability, checked for traditional premises (normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity), and fit for hypotheses. In Batam City, Generation Z, leadership and wage variables significantly boost employee performance, while training, motivation and work environment factors do not match the results of the hypothesis analysis

Abstract

This research aimed to find out how the work environment and employee competence influence the performance of employees who work at the People's Credit Bank or BPR Batam City by using motivation variables as mediation. The research used a population of 5 BPRs, ranked 1 to 5, regarding the profit and loss of all BPRs in Batam City. From this population, 210 samples were taken. The sampling technique that will be used is proportionate stratified random sampling or samples taken randomly from a population that is not homogeneous and proportionally stratified, and the research data analysis method used is Partial Least Square (PLS) using SmartPLS software. The research results show that the work environment and employee competence influence the mediating variables, namely motivation, and motivation also positively influences employee performance. Then, the results further show that the work environment and employee competence do not significantly influence employee performance. The limitation experienced when conducting research is that the population taken is limited to BPR employees in Batam City, and other variables can still influence the research results.

Abstract

Sumber daya manusia merupakan faktor penting yang memengaruhi pertumbuhan dan keberhasilan perusahaan. Salah satu aspek kualitas SDM yang berperan signifikan adalah kedisiplinan kerja. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian adalah untuk mengatasi permasalahan tingkat kedisiplinan yang rendah, seperti keterlambatan dan pelanggaran aturan kerja. Penelitian menggunakan metode observasi dan dokumentasi untuk mengumpulkan data tentang perilaku pekerja, termasuk pola kehadiran dan catatan keterlambatan. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kepatuhan terhadap aturan kerja dan penurunan signifikan dalam kasus keterlambatan serta ketidakhadiran tanpa izin. Data absensi sebelum dan sesudah pelaksanaan program mengindikasikan dampak positif dari program ini. Selain itu, survei kepuasan karyawan menunjukkan bahwa program ini meningkatkan motivasi, semangat kerja, dan kepuasan terhadap lingkungan kerja yang lebih terstruktur.

Abstract

Giota Seafood adalah salah satu UMKM di Kota Batam yang dikenal dengan konsep angkringan yang menyajikan beragam jenis masakan lezat dengan harga terjangkau. Namun, UMKM ini menghadapi tantangan dalam efisiensi kinerja serta operasional akibat lonjakan pelanggan selama jam sibuk. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, Giota Seafood menerapkan sistem menu berbasis QR code, yang memungkinkan pelanggan mengakses menu digital melalui smartphone mereka. Sistem ini dirancang untuk mempercepat proses pemesanan dan mengurangi beban kerja karyawan. Proses implementasi melibatkan berbagai metode seperti observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas sistem yang diterapkan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan teknologi ini berhasil meningkatkan efisiensi kerja, mempercepat pelayanan, mengurangi tingkat stres karyawan, dan meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan secara signifikan. Penerapan sistem QR Code ini membuktikan bahwa inovasi sederhana dapat memberikan dampak besar dalam mendukung transformasi digital UMKM. Hal ini tidak hanya meningkatkan daya saing Giota Seafood di industri kuliner yang kompetitif tetapi juga memastikan keberlanjutan bisnis dalam jangka panjang.

Abstract

Sumber daya manusia adalah sumber daya yang paling penting untuk mencapai tujuan perusahaan. Untuk memastikan bahwa bisnis atau organisasi dapat mencapai tujuan bersama dengan sukses, diperlukan penanganan khusus. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk untuk memberikan informasi tambahan pada perusahaan bagaimana cara untuk meningkatkan produktivitas karyawan dengan menggunakan manajemen kinerja berbasis kompetensi atau lebih rincinya menggunakan management by objective. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode gabungan yaitu metode penelitian wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa motivasi, komunikasi karyawan, manajemen waktu serta pelatihan dan pengembangan merupakan hal yang paling penting dalam meningkatkan produktivitas karyawan. Kemudian dari hasil survei didapatkan bahwa penerapan manajemen kinerja memberikan kepuasan terhadap karyawan.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of motivation, work discipline and leadership on the performance of Coffee Shop employees in Batam City. Employee performance is very much needed by a coffee shop to improve operational efficiency so that it can maximize profits. The research method used is quantitative, the technique in data collection uses sampling techniques by distributing questionnaires with a sample of 250 respondents. Data analysis techniques use SPSS. 25 with several tests. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant effect of motivation on employee performance, there is a significant effect of work discipline on employee performance and a significant effect of leadership on employee performance.

Abstract

This research aims to measure and analyze the relationship between organizational agility, sustainability performance and Innovation Orientation which illustrates how organizations can leverage their capabilities to drive sustainability implementation and maintain their competitiveness in a business environment that will continue to grow rapidly. This study uses a quantitative method which tests the outer model of data validity test, and data reliability test using SmartPLS software. For data collection purposes, the researcher used a purposive sampling technique consisting of (150) employees at manufacturing companies in Batam City by distributing questionnaires in the form of G-form to the sample. The results of this research prove that Organizational Agility has an insignificant positive effect on Sustainability Performance, Organizational Agility has a positive and significant on Innovation Orientation, Innovation Orientation has an insignificant positive effect on Sustainability Performance, Organizational Agility has an insignificant positive effect on Sustainability Performance through Innovation Orientation
