Abstract

Pentingnya mengajarkan pendidikan karakter kepada anak sejak dini sebagai upaya membentuk pribadi yang baik dan berbudi pekerti luhur tidak dapat dipandang remeh. Salah satu strategi efektif dalam menanamkan pendidikan karakter adalah melalui pembiasaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi pendidikan karakter melalui pembiasaan di lingkungan sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi literatur. Data diperoleh melalui telaah literatur terhadap jurnal, artikel, dan buku yang relevan dengan konteks penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendidikan karakter melalui pembiasaan di sekolah dapat dilakukan melalui berbagai kegiatan, termasuk kegiatan rutin, terprogram, dan insidental. Harapannya, kegiatan-kegiatan tersebut mampu membentuk nilai-nilai karakter pada anak, seperti kejujuran, kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab, dan kerja keras. Suksesnya penerapan pendidikan karakter melalui pembiasaan di sekolah memerlukan dukungan dari berbagai pihak, mulai dari guru dan kepala sekolah hingga orang tua. Guru dan kepala sekolah diharapkan dapat menjadi teladan positif, sementara orang tua perlu memberikan dukungan dan pengawasan kepada anak dalam implementasi pendidikan karakter di lingkungan rumah.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 belum berakhir dan saat ini muncul varian virus baru Omicron. Masyarakat diwajibkan melakukan tindakan preventif untuk mencegah dan memutus mata rantai penularan virus tesebut. Salah satu tindakan tersebut yaitu dengan menggunakan hand sanitizer. Masyarakat di desa Pendem sebenarnya telah memiliki tempat cuci tangan di depan rumah dan tempat-tempat umum, tetapi jarang digunakan sehingga banyak yang terbengkalai. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, Tim KKN-DIK Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta mengadakan pelatihan pembuatan hand sanitizer Lidah buaya (Aloe vera) pada ibu-ibu PKK desa Pendem kecamatan Ngaringan. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini sebagai edukasi masyarakat mengenai pemanfaatan tanaman Lidah buaya sebagai bahan hand sanitizer dan melatih masyarakat terutama ibu-ibu PKK untuk dapat membuat hand sanitizer secara mandiri dari bahan alami yang mudah ditemukan dan harganya terjangkau seperti hand sanitizer yang terbuat dari Lidah buaya. Tahapan kegiatan yang dilakukan yaitu koordinasi dan izin kepada kepala desa Pendem, observasi dan wawancara terkait masalah yang ada di desa Pendem, tahap persiapan dan pelaksanaan pelatihan pembuatan hand sanitizer. Pelatihan pembuatan hand sanitizer dilakukan bersama ibu-ibu PKK desa Pendem yang diawali dengan pemaparan materi, mendesmonstrasikan pembuatan hand sanitizer dan praktek pembuatan hand sanitizer Lidah buaya oleh ibu-ibu PKK. Hasil kegiatan tersebut memperlihatkan bahwa ibu-ibu PKK telah memahami bahan dan prosedur pembuatan hand sanitizer lidah buaya beserta manfaat dari bahan-bahan yang telah digunakan di dalamnya.

Abstract

Salah satu keterampilan yang harus dimiliki di abad 21 ialah keterampilan literasi. Penyediaan bahan bacaan melalui perpustakaan merupakan upaya yang dapat dilakukan sekolah untuk meningkatkan minat literasi siswa. Kegiatan revitalisasi perpustakaan dilaksanakan di SD Muhammadiyah Nurul Ilmi, desa Karangdowo, kecamatan Karangdowo, kabupaten Klaten.  Fungsi awal perpustakaan digunakan untuk menyimpan buku SD dan SMP, buku administrasi alat olah raga, peralatan Hizbul Wathan, dan alat peraga pembelajaran. Kondisi yang tidak terawat membuat siswa enggan berkunjung ke perpustakaan. Tujuan yang akan dicapai dalam kegiatan ini ialah mengfungsikan perpustakaan dan meningkatkan minat baca siswa. Tujuan pengabdian ini ialah melaksanakan proses revitalisasi perpustakaan dan meningkatkan minat baca siswa. Metode pengumpulan data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, pemaparan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Pengabdian dilakukan dengan tiga tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan pelaporan. Hasil pengabdian ini: 1) Revitalisasi perpustakaan, dilakukan dengan mendekorasi ulang perpustakaan, menyortir buku SMP dan mengklasifikasikan dan melabeli buku, dan membuat buku kunjungan perpustakaan. Berdasarkan klasifikasi, terdapat 156 buku bacaan siswa, 27 ensiklopedia, 314 buku penngetahuan umum, 89 buku guru, dan 814 buku pelajaran KTSP dan kurikulum 2013; 2) Minat baca meningkat dengan rata-rata jumlah siswa yang menginjungi perpustakaan setiap harinya ialah 30 siswa; 3) Perpustakaan difungsikan sebagai tempat alternatif pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa revitalisasi perpustakaan dapat meningkatkan minat baca siswa dan perpustakaan berfungsi sebagaimana mestinya.

Abstract

. This study aims to determine whether the craft of silhouette painting, bags, and wallets "Pa'E Debog" is profitable or not and to find out how the level of risk and cost risk of "Pa'E Debog" is. Profits in this study were analyzed using the R/C Ratio while the cost risk and income risk were analyzed using the Coefficient of Variation analysis. The results showed that the craft of painting silhouettes, bags, and wallets was profitable. Silhouette painting has a value (R/C > 1), which is 1.24. Bag craft got a value of 1.86 (R/C > 1), and wallet craft got a value (R/C > 1) which was 1.94. While the results of the analysis of the coefficient of variation show that the business carried out by the banana midrib craft "Pa'E Debog" has the opportunity to lose or bear the risk of cost and income risk because the coefficient of variation of the craft of silhouette painting, bags, and wallets has a value (CV > 0.5 ) and (L < 0). Cost risk can be caused by the increase in the price of raw materials and limited human resources. Meanwhile, the income risk is caused by the erratic level of production and the Covid-19 pandemic so that sales have decreased.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang efektif dan efisien merupakan kunci utama dalam mencapai tujuan Pendidikan, khususnya pada jenjang sekolah dasar. Mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) di kelas IV memiliki peranan penting dalam membentuk pemahaman dasar siswa terhadap lingkungan alam dan sosial di sekitar mereka. Meskipun demikian, masih banyak tantangan yang dihadapi dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ini. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media video yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Malangjiwan pada mata pelajaran IPAS. Penelitian ini bertahap dua siklus, setiap siklus dilaksanakan dua kali pertemuan. Terdiri dari empat tahapan kegiatan yaitu tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif, Sampel penelitian sebanyak 1 kelas yaitu kelas IV A SDN 2 Malangjiwan yang terdiri dari 12 siswa laki-laki dan 18 siswa perempuan berjumlah 30 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan tes hasil belajar. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes pilihan ganda untuk mengetahui hasil belajar peserta didik dan wawancara untuk mengetahui permasalahan peserta didik. Hasil postest siklus I presentase rata- rata sebesar 66,67 % dan pada siklus II meningkat dengan presentase rata-rata sebesar 90 %. Sedangkan nilai N-Gain pada siklus 1 sebesar 0,24 pada (kategori rendah) dan siklus 2 sebesar 0,47 pada (kategori sedang). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar pada setiap siklusnya. Dengan demikian model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan Media Video dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS peserta didik kelas IVA SDN 2 Malangjiwan Karanganyar.

Abstract

Background: This research is motivated by the low level of science literacy in Indonesia. Science literacy is essential for students as it can foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This study aimed to determine the application of Problem-based Learning based on culturally responsive teaching (CRT) to students with science literacy skills. Method: This type of research is pre-experimental, using a science literacy test design. The sample of this study was class VII A, totaling 32 students. The sampling technique used was a simple random sampling technique. The analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis. Results: The results of this study indicate that the application of Problem-Based Learning based on Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) to science literacy skills is included in the high category seen from the average score of the science literacy test obtained, which is a score of 71,71. Conclusion: The problem-based learning model based on culturally responsive teaching (CRT) involves students, allowing them to quickly identify problems independently or in groups and providing meaningful learning experiences by understanding culture.

Abstract

In this study, the problem that arises is how the Islamic Education Teacher Professionalism associated with the 4 competencies of teachers and Teacher Academic Qualification as listed in the laws. How can a teacher be able to develop the four competencies required of qualified academic and inline with the subjects of teaching. The extent to which a teacher was able to carry out the responsibilities and duties - duties properly. Not only the responsibility for learning in the classroom but how learners are able to actualize in daily life - today. The informants of this study was teacher of Islamic education at the Senior High School 2 Semarang and learners in the school environment. Research on the professionalism of teachers of Islamic education in the National High School 2 Semarang, using the technique of collecting data through interviews, observation and documentation. The analysis model used in this study is komponensial domain analysis. The results obtained show that , as a professional educator should not only academically , but personality and way of socializing with the environment is also become very important. Moreover, a teacher with a good personality and social will be a lot of good influence to the learners. Because teachers with personal and social wellcapable of being role models for their students.

Abstract

The community service activity partner is KWT Berkah Tani 2 Ngasem Village, Central Java. KWT Berkah Tani 2 and the surrounding community already have a place to cultivate plants and, in this area, they produce a lot of organic waste per day, not all of the organic waste produced is utilized. Therefore, the aim of this service is to provide education about hydrotone compost to KWT Berkah Tani 2. We introduced an innovation, especially in utilizing organic waste into compost as a mixture of hydrotone. The solution offered is developing environmentally based education at KWT Berkah Tani 2 by holding educational activities on making compost hydrotone for the Ngasem village community. Service activities are carried out in four phases using socialization, practice and application methods. The four phases are socialization and preparation, preparation of tools and materials, implementation of activities (making hydrotone compost and application to plants) as well as coaching and supervision. Hydrotone is not only an innovative solution in waste management, but has also been proven to increase environmentally friendly agricultural efficiency.

Abstract

Science learning is an effort to discover scientific truths through a series of thought processes. The demands of 21st-century science learning are learning that develops students' thinking skills. One learning model that is expected to train students' thinking skills is problem-based learning (PBL). This research aims to analyze the influence of the PBL learning model assisted by mind mapping on the science learning outcomes of class VII students at SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Surakarta for the 2022/2023 academic year. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent control group design. Samples were taken randomly, with 1 class as the control class and 1 class as the experimental class. The learning outcomes analyzed include cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning outcomes. Data analysis was carried out using an independent sample t-test. Based on the research and data analysis results, there is a significant influence of the application of the PBL learning model assisted by mind mapping on students' science learning outcomes.

Abstract

68% of household waste consists of organic waste, which significantly contributes to environmental pollution and can cause disruption if not managed properly. Unfortunately, proper management of organic waste is lacking, with a predominant method of disposal being dumping in empty land, waterways, or burning. However, organic waste holds potential for eco-friendly solutions such as eco enzymes. The objective of this community service initiative was to train individuals in producing eco enzymes from organic waste at SD Muhammadiyah PK Kottabarat Surakarta. The activities included educating the community about organic waste processing and conducting training sessions on eco enzyme production, including packaging and labeling. As a result of these efforts, teachers and students at SD Muhammadiyah Kottabarat gained the skills to utilize leftover fruit and vegetable waste, producing a total of 18 liters of eco enzymes. This included 2 jars of eco enzymes from vegetable waste and 4 jars from orange peels.
