Abstract

The law on healthcare workers' duty to report infectious diseases in Indonesia is based on Law No. 17 of 2023 on Health and implementing regulations governing the surveillance system. On the one hand, reporting is required as a tool to prevent and control the spread of diseases that threaten the wider public. On the other hand, the principles of patient confidentiality and personal data protection require that medical information be protected from unauthorized access and use. This article uses a normative juridical approach with qualitative literature study to examine the relationship between reporting obligations and patient privacy rights. Primary legal materials in the form of laws and regulations in the fields of health, medical records, and personal data protection are analyzed together with literature on public health ethics and contemporary bioethics. The results of the analysis show that the reporting obligation is constructed as an imperative public norm, while the confidentiality of medical records and patient personal data is positioned as a private norm that protects the dignity and integrity of individuals. The two are harmonized through clear exceptions, restrictions on the use of data, and the obligation to implement procedures that maintain patient anonymity in the public sphere. This article concludes that national regulations, including the Health Law, implementing regulations, the Minister of Health Regulation on Medical Records, and the Personal Data Protection Law, have normatively provided a legal framework that is relatively balanced between public health interests and patient privacy rights. Operational guidelines and data governance at the health facility level need to be strengthened so that reporting obligations are carried out in accordance with confidentiality protection standards and public health ethics principles.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) was carried out to address the low mastery of the Arabic language among students at MA Roudlotut Tholibin Balen, particularly in vocabulary acquisition, grammatical understanding, and learning motivation. These challenges prompted the school to establish an Arabic language course designed for students from grades X to XII as a reinforcement program. Through a formal collaboration between MA Roudlotut Tholibin Balen and Institut Attanwir Bojonegoro, this PKM activity was initiated to improve and revitalize the existing course, which had previously been considered monotonous and lacking significant progress. The main objective of this program was to provide students with theoretical and practical guidance in learning Arabic through engaging, interactive, and needs-based approaches. The activities were conducted once every two weeks, beginning on August 1, 2025, and included sessions covering essential linguistic components such as nahwu, vocabulary enrichment, insyā’, and other language skills. In addition to the core materials, students were introduced to Arabic songs, interactive games, and creative learning techniques to enhance their enthusiasm and motivation.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology in the Society 5.0 era has increased the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in higher education, raising concerns about its impact on students’ computational thinking skills and digital literacy. This study aims to examine the influence and relationship between the intensity of AI usage and computational thinking as well as digital literacy among students of Islamic Elementary Teacher Education (PGMI) at Institut Attanwir Bojonegoro. A quantitative correlational design was employed involving 114 undergraduate PGMI students from various semesters. Data were collected through validated and reliable questionnaires measuring AI usage intensity, computational thinking skills, and digital literacy. Data analysis was conducted using Spearman’s rank correlation and simple linear regression. The results indicate that AI usage intensity has a positive and significant relationship with computational thinking skills, although the correlation is weak (r = 0.220) with a contribution of 3.6%. Conversely, AI usage intensity does not show a significant relationship or effect on students’ digital literacy. These findings suggest that while AI can support the development of computational thinking when used appropriately, it does not automatically enhance digital literacy. Therefore, pedagogical integration, critical engagement, and ethical guidance are essential to optimize the role of AI in developing students’ 21st-century competencies.
