Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kesiapan soft skill siswa bidang teknologi dan kejuruan di SMK Negeri 1 Padang dalam menghadapi dunia kerja. Latar belakang penelitian ini dilandasi oleh rendahnya kesiapan soft skill lulusan SMK yang menjadi salah satu penyebab tingginya angka pengangguran di Indonesia. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data diperoleh dari 200 siswa kelas XII yang dipilih secara proporsional dari enam jurusan berbeda. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner dengan skala Likert yang mencakup enam indikator soft skill: komunikasi, kerja sama tim, kepemimpinan, etika kerja, kreativitas dan pemecahan masalah, serta manajemen waktu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh aspek soft skill berada dalam kategori “sangat siap”, dengan aspek komunikasi sebagai indikator tertinggi (90,3%), sedangkan kerja sama tim dan etika kerja berada pada tingkat kesiapan terendah. Hasil korelasi menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kesiapan soft skill dan kesiapan memasuki dunia kerja dengan koefisien korelasi 0,737 dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 54,3%. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya penguatan pembelajaran kontekstual dan integrasi soft skill dalam kurikulum pendidikan vokasi untuk meningkatkan kesiapan kerja siswa.

Abstract

Masyarakat petani di Desa Asam Kamba, Kecamatan Bayang, Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan, menghadapi kendala serius dalam proses pascapanen jagung yang masih dilakukan secara manual sehingga membutuhkan waktu lama, tenaga besar, serta berisiko kehilangan hasil panen. Kondisi ini menyebabkan rendahnya efisiensi kerja dan terbatasnya daya saing usaha tani. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi pascapanen dan daya saing petani melalui penerapan teknologi tepat guna berupa mesin multifungsi pengupas dan pemipil jagung serta pelatihan manajemen usaha tani. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi perancangan, pembuatan, dan uji coba mesin di Laboratorium Fabrikasi Jurusan Teknik Mesin Universitas Negeri Padang, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan penyerahan, pelatihan operasional, perawatan mesin, serta pendampingan manajemen usaha kepada Kelompok Tani Setia Kawan dan Badunsanak di Desa Asam Kamba. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa mesin yang diujicobakan mampu mempercepat waktu proses pengupasan dan pemipilan hingga rata-rata 5–6 detik per 10 kg jagung, dengan tingkat keterampilan pengoperasian dan perawatan mesin mencapai kategori sangat baik (rata-rata 93,5% dan 94,5%). Selain itu, pelatihan pencatatan hasil produksi dan manajemen usaha tani meningkatkan pemahaman petani secara signifikan, yang ditunjukkan oleh kenaikan skor tes dari rata-rata 48,5 (pretest) menjadi 90,5 (posttest). Respon masyarakat sangat positif karena teknologi ini terbukti mampu menekan biaya produksi dan meningkatkan efisiensi usaha tani. Kesimpulannya, penerapan mesin multifungsi pengupas dan pemipil jagung disertai pelatihan manajemen usaha terbukti efektif meningkatkan produktivitas, keterampilan, dan kemandirian petani sehingga mendukung keberlanjutan usaha tani jagung di Desa Asam Kamba.

Abstract

Masyarakat usaha kuliner skala kecil di Nagari Asam Kamba, Kecamatan Bayang, Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan, menghadapi permasalahan utama dalam pengolahan santan yang masih menggunakan cara tradisional dengan parutan manual dan saringan kain. Proses tersebut memakan waktu lama, membutuhkan tenaga besar, serta menghasilkan santan dengan kualitas yang kurang higienis, cepat basi, dan tidak konsisten sehingga menurunkan daya saing produk. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan kualitas produksi santan melalui penerapan teknologi Squeezing Machine serta pelatihan pengolahan, manajemen usaha, dan pemasaran. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi perancangan, pembuatan, dan uji coba mesin di Laboratorium Fabrikasi Universitas Negeri Padang, dilanjutkan dengan penyerahan mesin, demonstrasi, pelatihan teknis, manajemen usaha, dan strategi pemasaran kepada kelompok mitra. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan bahwa mesin mampu meningkatkan kapasitas ekstraksi hingga dua kali lipat dengan santan yang lebih higienis, konsisten, dan tahan lama. Pelatihan keterampilan pengoperasian dan perawatan mesin menghasilkan nilai rata-rata di atas 93%, sedangkan peningkatan pengetahuan manajemen usaha tercatat dari 46,25% (pretest) menjadi 88,75% (posttest). Kesimpulannya, penerapan Squeezing Machine disertai pelatihan teknis dan manajerial terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan efisiensi produksi, mutu produk, dan daya saing usaha kuliner lokal, sekaligus mendukung penguatan ekonomi masyarakat berbasis potensi lokal.

Abstract

Based on interviews at SMK Negeri 2 Banda Aceh in 2021, obtained from 25 students, 4 people did not pass the skills test in the subject of building utility systems, with an average knowledge score of 79.2 and an average skill score of 78.4 One of the factors is the inadequate infrastructure in carrying out the learning process, especially practicum learning. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the learning process of building utility system subjects in the Construction and Property Engineering Expertise Program using the CIPPO model at SMK Negeri 2 Banda Aceh City. This research is an evaluation research using the CIPPO model, namely the evaluation of the context, input, process, product and outcome. The type of research is a mixed method with Concurrent Triangulation Strategy. Sources of qualitative data were obtained from the Principal, Deputy Principal of the School of Facilities and Infrastructure, Head of the Construction and Property Engineering Expertise Program, Head of Lab and 5. Teachers who teach building utility systems at SMK Negeri 2 Banda Aceh. Quantitative data were taken from 40 students of class XII and XIII. The results showed that the context component was in the sufficient category (73.59%), the Input component was in the sufficient category (75.69%), the process component was in the sufficient category (72.01%), the Product component was in the sufficient category (66.5 %), and the outcome component is also in the sufficient category (73.25%). Because all components are in the sufficient category, it is recommended to make appropriate improvements to improve student achievement abilities in the subject of building utility systems in the Construction and Property Engineering Expertise Program at SMK Negeri 2 Banda Aceh.

Abstract

Higher education plays an important role in preparing students to become competent and competitive individuals. Furthermore, participating in academic competitions is a strategic means to foster innovative, collaborative, and competitive skills. This study employed Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using Smart PLS (Partial Least Squares) software, a statistical technique suitable for analyzing complex relationships between variables. The analysis process involved two stages: measurement model and structural model. The analysis showed that the T-statistic for peer influence was 2.549, exceeding the threshold of 1.96, with a p-value of 0.011, below the 0.05 threshold for statistical significance. Similarly, the T-statistic for family influence was 3.803, also exceeding 1.96, with a p-value of 0.000, indicating a highly significant relationship. These findings highlight the important role of external factors, especially peer and family influence, in motivating students to participate in national and international competitions. Therefore, educational institutions need to implement targeted strategies to increase students’ motivation and encourage active involvement in these competitions.

Abstract

The background of this research is the low value of students in digital simulation courses of Informatics Engineering education and Computer Education FKIP UBH. Based on the data of the last three years, that the value of students under 70 reached 50%. The purpose of this study is to find out how much contribution: (1) motivation to learn on student learning outcomes in digital simulation courses ptik study program FKIP UBH Padang City, (2) attitude of learning to the results of learning in digital simulation courses ptik study program FKIP UBH Padang City, and (3) learning motivation and attitude of learning together to the results of learning students in the course Digital Simulation study program PTIK FKIP UBH Padang City. This research is quantitative research with correlational type. The research population was 39 students. The sampling technique uses the Total Samplingtechnique, which means that the sample has the same number as the population. Data on learning motivation and learning attitudes were obtained through questionnaires using the Likertscale, while data on student learning outcomes in Digital Simulation courses were obtained from the final score of the even semester of FY 2019/2020. The data in the analysis uses statistical methods with the help of SPSS software version 17. The results of the data analysis showed that (1) there was a positive and significant relationship of learning motivation to student learning outcomes with a correlation coefficient of 0.531, thus contributing 28.20%. (2) Then, there is a positive and significant relationship between the attitude of learning towards student learning outcomes with a correlation coefficient of 0.559, thus contributing 31.25%. (3) Furthermore, there is a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and learning attitudes together with student learning outcomes with a correlation coefficient of 0.657 thus contributing 43.16%. This proves that learning motivation and learning attitudes contribute strongly in improving student learning outcomes in the Digital Simulation course of PTIK FKIP UBH study program in Padang City.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kontribusi lingkungan keluarga dan lingkungan sekolah terhadap minat studi ke perguruan tinggi pada siswa kelas XI Program Keahlian Teknik Pemesinan di SMK Negeri 1 Padang tahun ajaran 2025/2026, yang didorong oleh fenomena fluktuasi minat lulusan untuk melanjutkan pendidikan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode regresi linier berganda yang melibatkan 50 siswa sebagai responden melalui teknik sensus sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner dengan skala Likert yang telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnya, kemudian data diolah menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial, variabel lingkungan keluarga berkontribusi signifikan terhadap minat studi dengan nilai t hitung 4,563, begitu pula dengan lingkungan sekolah yang memberikan kontribusi signifikan dengan nilai t hitung 2,375. Secara simultan, kedua variabel tersebut memberikan kontribusi sebesar 62,2% terhadap minat siswa melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi, dengan persamaan regresi Y = -23,339 + 0,665X₁ + 0,515X₂. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin kondusif dukungan keluarga dan atmosfer sekolah, maka semakin tinggi minat siswa untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi, sementara 37,8% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain di luar lingkup penelitian ini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran turbin air model vortex terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Mesin Konversi Energi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan quasi experiment dan desain nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 75 mahasiswa semester V angkatan 2023 yang terbagi ke dalam kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan media pembelajaran turbin air model vortex, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan media pembelajaran konvensional berupa power point. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes objektif pilihan ganda yang diberikan dalam bentuk pretest dan posttest. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen meningkat dari 71 menjadi 84 dengan ketuntasan belajar sebesar 92%, sedangkan kelas kontrol meningkat dari 73 menjadi 80,84 dengan ketuntasan sebesar 84%. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran turbin air model vortex berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa.

Abstract

Anti-UV films and composites play a critical role in protecting materials from ultraviolet-induced degradation, which can weaken polymers, reduce product lifespan, and compromise performance in sectors such as food packaging, outdoor coatings, and biomedical devices. The growing emphasis on sustainability and the need for environmentally friendly protective materials have further accelerated research on UV-shielding technologies that incorporate biopolymers, multifunctional additives, and renewable resources. This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of global research on anti-UV films and composites over the period 2014–2024. Data were retrieved from the Scopus database and analyzed using Bibliometrix (R package) and VOSviewer were employed to analyze publication patterns, map keyword networks, and visualize thematic evolution, as these tools enable robust quantitative and structural mapping of large bibliographic datasets. Three dominant thematic clusters were identified: (i) nanoparticle-based UV shielding using inorganic fillers such as ZnO and TiO₂, (ii) multifunctional films integrating UV protection with antibacterial and antioxidant properties, and (iii) biopolymer-based matrices emphasizing mechanical durability and environmental sustainability. These clusters highlight the convergence of performance, sustainability, and multifunctionality as key drivers shaping current research directions. Despite significant progress, the analysis reveals limited attention to scalability, industrial compatibility, and long-term performance evaluation. The findings underscore the need for future research to incorporate pilot-scale processing, life-cycle assessments, and interdisciplinary collaboration to bridge the gap between laboratory formulations and commercial implementation. Overall, this bibliometric study provides a consolidated understanding of the evolution and research landscape of anti-UV films and composites.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a mobile air conditioning (AC) trainer as an innovative learning medium to enhance students’ understanding, interest, and performance in automotive AC systems. The research adopted the Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D model, which consists of the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. Validation was conducted by media and material experts, yielding Aiken’s V coefficients of 0.93 and 0.96, respectively, categorized as “Valid.” The practicality test involving teachers and students obtained mean scores of 94.20% and 96.24%, categorized as “Highly Practical.” The effectiveness of the developed trainer was evaluated through pretest and posttest data, resulting in an N-Gain score of 0.69, which indicates a “High” level of improvement. These findings demonstrate that the developed AC trainer is valid, practical, and effective as instructional media in vocational education, particularly in enhancing students’ academic achievement in automotive air conditioning systems.
