Abstract

In Indonesia, there are many services that provide fitness services. However, only a few have implemented technological sophistication such as the absence of mobile applications and manual admin management. This causes few business units in Indonesia to be able to retain customers due to the lack of management in the gym business unit. Management in gym services is the main focus to improve performance and quality in the business so that it can be properly designed with the right calculations as well, with the existence of technological sophistication can help these problems by developing a website for admin management in the gym business. The design uses the design thinking method which includes the empathize, define, ideate, prototype, test stages by conducting tests to find out how easy, efficient, easy to remember, and errors or security of the designed website. Testing is done by interviewing users directly. So that it can be immediately implemented in real terms and can continue to be evaluated to improve admin performance.

Abstract

Di SMKN 1 Gunung Kijang, sistem pembelajaran yakni e-learning belum dimanfaatkan atau digunakan sebagai salah satu sarana belajar bagi siswa. Karenanya, tujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang sistem e-learning yang inovatif, untuk meningkatkan motivasi siswa dan menarik minat belajar mereka. Dalam pengembangannya, sistem e-learning ini menggunakan metode design thinking, yang memiliki 5 tahapan, yaitu, emphatize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test. Desain sistem e-learning ini memiliki fitur akses materi, informasi tugas, evaluasi, forum diskusi, dan feedback. Tampilan serta kegunaan fitur ini, telah di uji dengan menggunakan SUS (System Usability Scale) dengan skor 80,3. Dan UEQ (User Experience Questionnaire) yang memiliki hasil excellent. Subjek penelitian dipilih dari siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 1 Gunung Kijang. Hasil desain dan pengujian yang diperoleh ini akan memberi solusi dan inovasi dalam sebuah perancangan sistem e-learning bagi pengembang sistem serupa.

Abstract

Abad ke-21 merupakan masa perkembangan teknologi yang menimbulkan perubahan global yang signifikan. Dalam menghadapi perubahan signifikan tersebut, pendidikan memiliki peran untuk mempersiapkan sumber daya manusia dengan menstimulasi dan mengembangkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Keterampilan 4C merupakan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan pada abad ini. Salah satunya adalah keterampilan berpikir kritis, keterampilan memecahkan masalah dengan cara menganalisis dan menelaah secara sistematis informasi yang didapatkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan dan menggambarkan keterampilan berpikir kritis yang dikembangkan melalui pemrograman sederhana dapat relevan dengan kemajuan teknologi. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan studi literatur. Dari penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil bahwa menstimulus keterampilan berpikir kritis kepada anak-anak memiliki peluang yang baik terlebih lagi pada anak usia dini. Pemikiran kritis anak dapat dilatih melalui pemrograman sederhana. Telah banyak platform pemrograman sederhana khusus anak-anak sehingga dapat mengeksplor cara berpikirnya yang logis dan terstruktur dalam memecahkan masalah. Menstimulasi berpikir kritis anak dapat dengan car aini akan membuat anak-anak tidak merasa bosan karena desain tampilan serta fitur-fiturnya telah disesuaikan

Abstract

This research aims to produce a module that is relevant to the character of Muhammadiyah Vocational School, namely integrating Islamic and Muhammadiyah values with the Pancasila student profile. This research was a type of development research by applying the Sadiman Development Method. Analysis of the result quality of the developed module was carried out using a validation test from the material aspect and media aspect as well as a trial by respondents to the developed module. The evaluation was conducted by media professionals using a 20-item questionnaire, yielded an average score of 84, indicating a high level of appropriateness. Similarly, material experts assessed the validators using a 30-item questionnaire and found the performance to be highly appropriate, resulting in a score of 89. Based on these findings, it can be stated that the developed digital module has relevant validity values and is suitable to be used in vocational learning which can be integrated with Islamic and Muhammadiyah values. The use of this module has an impact on cultivating Islamic character and Pancasila students for Muhammadiyah Vocational School students. This distinctive character is a provision for alumni to be able to compete in the work world in today's digital era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) kontribusi program PI melalui proses pembelajaran di tempat kerja; dan (2) hasil kompetensi siswa setelah mengikuti program PI di tempat kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi kasus. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data mengacu pada analisis model interaktif Miles & Huberman, meliputi pengumpulan data, data condensation, penyajian data, verifikasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa proses perolehan kompetensi TIK dalam program PI melalui: (1) proses untuk memperoleh kompetensi di tempat industri, meliputi: (a) melalui pengamatan dan mendengarkan, (b) belajar sambil menyelesaikan tugas (learning by doing) dan mengikuti aktivitas kerja, (c) belajar melalui pengalaman, (d) belajar memecahkan masalah, (e) belajar melalui kondisi lingkungan kerja, (f) belajar mandiri, dan (g) belajar secara terus menerus dan diulang-ulang; dan (2) hasil yang didapat siswa setelah mengikuti program PI adalah mampu menunjukkan perkembangan kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik yang dapat dideskripsikan antara lain: pengetahuan terkait dunia kerja, keterampilan kerja, kemampuan menyelesaikan pekerjaan, dan sikap yang berkaitan dengan DUDI.

Abstract

The development of information technology is currently progressing quite rapidly, one implementation of this progress is the creation of web pages or what is known as the web. The web makes it easier for people to disseminate information so that it has an impact on people's activities in meeting their needs for information, including information about study programs (prodi). The Information Systems and Technology Education Study Program is one of the study programs at the Indonesian University of Education, Purwakarta regional campus, which currently cannot publish good information related to the study program itself. Therefore, an information media is needed to be able to publish information as a whole to the wider community. The method used in development is the waterfall method, and the technology used during development includes PHP Laravel, MySQL, PhpMyAdmin, Apache Server, and Visual Studio Code. The results of this research are in the form of a web-based information system that can better present information related to Education Systems and Information Technology study programs..

Abstract

Vocational education (VE) is one of the institutions that must answer environmental problems by providing green job skills to its students. However, VE in Indonesia still experience various obstacles in providing this provision, so the aim of this research aims to analyze the extent of the level of green skills (GS) in teachers and students in this country, which includes the dimensions of cognitive, interpersonal and intrapersonal competence as an illustration for developing a priority scale for improvement. In addition, examining the differences and correlations between dimensions and the contribution of dimensions to GS as a whole is an additional goal. The survey method was carried out using a generic GS questionnaire instrument in VE that have Adiwiyata status. Data were analyzed using three stages: descriptive analysis, ANOVA-post hoc Tukey test, and path analysis. As a result, students’ GS still show a low category, while teachers get a high category. Between dimensions show no significant differences. Finally, all competencies have a significant relationship and can construct overall GS. These results indicate that there is still a need to strengthen teacher competencies in GS-based learning management and strengthen collaboration with all levels of society.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of teachers in implementing pedagogical skills. The present study used a mixed methods approach. The participants in this study consisted of 55 highly effective educators employed in vocational secondary schools. The research data were acquired using effective teacher questionnaires, peer evaluations, observations, and comprehensive interviews. The findings indicated that a majority of highly effective educators possess a strong comprehension of the practical application of pedagogical competence. Nevertheless, a marginal disparity exists between academic knowledge and its practical application in the respective domain. The facilitation and support of teachers in the development of their pedagogic competences is a crucial responsibility of school principals. Effective and well-structured ongoing training is essential to bridge the divide between theoretical concepts and practical application, and to guarantee that educators possess the requisite expertise and understanding to tackle the demands of the current and future educational landscape. Hence, it is imperative to allocate resources towards teacher professional development and ensure the availability of sufficient assets in vocational secondary schools in order to attain educational excellence in Indonesia.

Abstract

The field of mathematics education is rapidly advancing, particularly with the introduction of augmented reality (AR) technology as one of the tools used as an innovative learning medium. This research seeks to assess how the incorporation of AR influences students' grasp of mathematical concepts. This study is an experimental quantitative research using the experimental design method, with a population of 37 students from class IX of SMP Al Azhar Plus Bogor. The researcher obtained 30 students as samples based on purposive sampling technique, which were then divided into 2 groups: 15 students as the experimental group and 15 students as the control group. The experimental group underwent mathematics learning utilizing AR technology with 3D teaching materials that were prepared and accessible via smartphones through a barcode, covering topics such as congruent, similar, and spatial figures. Meanwhile, the control group followed conventional teaching methods using books as teaching materials with the same subject coverage. The study's results emphasize the substantial improvement in students' understanding of mathematical concepts through the effective utilization of AR. This improvement encompasses students' abilities to solve mathematical problems, retain conceptual memory, and actively participate in the learning process. Based on the statistical test results conducted, the experimental group obtained an average of 68.4153 or 68%, which falls into the category of moderately effective, while the control group obtained an average of 16.1508 or 16%, classified as ineffective. The Independent Sample Test yielded a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference in effectiveness between the experimental and control groups. Further data analysis indicates that the learning experience through AR not only provides a better understanding but also offers additional motivation to students, thereby increasing their interest in the subject of mathematics. Moreover, the study observes that a well-integrated instructional design within the curriculum, considering the context of AR usage, can contribute significantly to improved learning outcomes. The consequences of these discoveries strengthen the perspective that augmented reality (AR) is not just a successful educational instrument but can also offer a pleasurable learning encounter within the realm of mathematics education. The outcomes of this study play a substantial role in advancing more interactive approaches to teaching mathematics, with a specific emphasis on enhancing students' conceptual understanding. It is hoped that these findings can serve as a foundation for the implementation of AR in educational curricula as a strategic effort to enhance the quality of mathematics education and enrich students' learning experiences.

Abstract

A teacher has many responsibilities, from teaching activities to fulfilling all existing administration. The existence a social gap between ASN and non-ASN regarding attendance is one of the problems at the School. Another problem is that attendance is written directly on the class agenda, making difficult for the School to monitor teacher attendance and there's no daily teacher journal attendance system at SMKN 2 Purwakarta. Based on this, SiPJuHOG (Teacher Online Daily Journal Presence System) mobile application was built to solve the problem. The purpose of research: 1) Make easier and faster for teachers to fill in their daily journal attendance; and 2) Make easier for schools to recap the attendance of ASN and non-ASN teachers when teaching. The type and design of research used is prototype method. Based on research, conclusions were obtained: 1) SiPJuHOG Mobile Application was built using dart language, flutter framework, PHP, SQL, and using wampserver.  Based on manual testing using ‘Browserstack’ all functions run well; and 2) The results of mobile application functionality test to users succeeded through all function instruments. The usability test results obtained total score of 71,59 with the category ‘GOOD’ (adjective ratings), grade C (grade scale), and ‘ACCEPTABLE’ (acceptability ranges). Meanwhile, efficiency test using ‘DevTools’ obtained an average frames per second of 58. This means that the application runs quite well in terms of visual performance. Finally, portability test conducted during mobile user testing and using ‘BrowserStack’ obtained results according to criteria (running on Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, and Motorola mobile phones).
