Abstract

Water demand in Malang increases by more than 13 percent yearly in all sub-districts. This increase was caused by factors such as population growth, agricultural land area, livestock population, and development of the industrial sector. This increase has a significant impact on water needs. Water needs are always synonymous with water availability. The problem of water availability in Malang City requires sustainable and data-based efforts to solve it. One effort that can be made is to make more accurate predictions of water use. The aim of this research is to analyse the use and economic value of water in Malang City along with predictions for the future. This research method adopts a quantitative approach involving time series analysis methods by applying forecast techniques using exponential triple smoothing. The research results show that in 2023-2027, water use will increase. Still, the water funding obtained by Malang City PDAM is causing water and commercial losses. Kebutuhan air di Malang meningkat lebih dari 13 persen setiap tahun di semua kecamatan. Peningkatan ini disebabkan oleh faktor-faktor seperti pertumbuhan jumlah penduduk, luas lahan pertanian, populasi ternak, dan perkembangan sektor industri. Peningkatan ini sangat berpengaruh pada kebutuhan air. Kebutuhan air selalu identik dengan ketersediaan air. Permasalahan ketersediaan air di Kota Malang memerlukan upaya yang berkelanjutan dan berbasis data untuk menyelesaikannya. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah melakukan prediksi penggunaan air yang lebih akurat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis penggunaan dan nilai ekonomis air di Kota Malang beserta dengan prediksinya di masa mendatang. Metode penelitian ini mengadopsi pendekatan kuantitatif yang melibatkan metode analisis time series dengan menerapkan teknik forecast menggunakan eksponensial triple smoothing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tahun 2023-2027 penggunaan air meningkat tetapi pendanaan air yang didapat PDAM Kota Malang mengalami sehingga PDAM Kota Malang mengalami kehilangan air dan komersil.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran berbasis masalah mempunyai banyak kelabihan ialah dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa seperti memecahkan masalah, mengungkapkan pendapat, mendeteksi masalah berdasarkan sudut pandang dan sebagainya. Kemampuan berpikir kritis sangat dibutuhkan untuk siswa agar kedepannya bisa menyelesaikan masalah yang ada di kehidupan sekitarnya. Implementasi model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan microlearning diperlukan karena dapat mempermudah guru dan siswa dalam mengkomunikasikan pelaksanaan proyek dan juga merangsang kemampuan berpikir kritis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni dapat memahami dampak dari penggunaan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan microlearning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran geografi. Subjek penelitian menggunakan siswa XI IPS 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPS 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data melakukan pretest - posttest control group design. Analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan independent sample t - test. Hasil pengujian uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas yakni normal dan homogen. Sedangkan hasil pengujian, independent sample t - test sebesar 0,038 artinya kurang dari 0,05 maka h0 ditolak dan h1 diterima. Hasil analisis dapat dikatakan penggunaan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah yang dibantu microlearning berpengaruh pada kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan microlearning efektif digunakan karena pada pembelajaran siswa dibimbing dalam memenuhi kebutuhan belajarnya.

Abstract

THE EFFECT OF ARTICULATE STORYLINE ASSISTED GUIDED DISCOVERY LEARNING ON STUDENTS' CRITICAL THINKING ABILITY IN LEARNING GEOGRAPHYCritical thinking is a skill that must be honed and developed in 21st-century learning because it is useful in studying and solving problems that arise. Based on its advantages, the Guided Discovery Learning model is able to improve the ability to think critically. On the other hand, the use of articulate storyline media is able to clarify the information or message conveyed so that it can facilitate the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Guided Discovery Learning assisted by articulate storyline media on students' critical thinking skills in geography learning. The research design used a Quasi-Experimental design with a post-test-only group design. The research subjects included students of grade X5 and grade X6, with experimental class (class X5) and control class (class X6). The determination of the class is done by means of Random Sampling through a lottery. The results showed that the mean value of the post-test of critical thinking skills of experimental class students with Guided Discovery Learning model treatment assisted by articulate story media was higher (86.09) than the control class (79.87). The results of hypothesis testing with an independent sample test showed a significance value of 0.000 less than 0.05. These results prove that the Guided Discovery Learning model, assisted by articulate storyline media, has a positive impact on students' critical thinking skills. There are other findings in this study, namely the stimulus and proof stages as the most dominant stages affecting critical thinking skills.Pemikiran yang kritis menjadi suatu keterampilan yang harus diasah dan dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran abad 21, karena berguna dalam mengkaji dan menyelesaikan permasalahan yang muncul. Berdasarkan keunggulan yang dimilikinya, model Guided Discovery Learning mampu meningkatkan kemampuan untuk berpikir kritis. Disisi lain, penggunaan media articulate storyline mampu memperjelas informasi atau pesan yang disampaikan, sehingga dapat memperlancar proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh Guided Discovery Learning berbantuan media articulate storyline terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis bagi siswa pada pembelajaran geografi. Desain penelitian menggunakan rancangan Quasi Experimental with post-test only group design. Adapun subjek penelitian meliputi siswa kelas X5 dan kelas X6, dengan kelas eksperimen (kelas X5) dan kelas kontrol (kelas X6). Penentuan kelas tersebut dilakukan dengan cara random sampling melalui undian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rerata post-test kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen dengan perlakuan model Guided Discovery Learning berbantuan media articulate storyline lebih tinggi (86.09) dibandingkan kelas kontrol (79.87). Hasil uji hipotesis dengan independent sample test memperlihatkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.000 kurang dari 0.05. Hasil tersebut membuktikan bahwa model Guided Discovery Learning berbantuan media articulate storyline berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Terdapat temuan lain pada penelitian ini, yaitu tahapan stimulus dan pembuktian sebagai tahapan yang paling dominan mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir secara kritis.

Abstract

Madurese is an ethnic group that we encounter in many cities. This ethnicity is usually attached to the image of the merchant. Besides this image, Madura also attaches to the image of newcomers. How this ethnic group became very attached to the merchant's identity indeed cannot be separated from the role of parents. The family environment is very instrumental in directing or learning children. The purpose of this research is to find out how to internalize these ethnic entrepreneurial values—this research designed using a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are done through observation and in-depth interviews. Interview techniques are used to reveal how to internalize the value of entrepreneurship towards families, especially children. The research findings show that in some ethnic Madurese, there is no internalization process of entrepreneurial values in their families, but in other parts, this process occurs. Furthermore, the findings in the field show that the experience of parents influences the internalization process. The process of internalizing entrepreneurial values did by modeling or giving examples by parents, involvement, and habituation of parents' activities to children. Involvement did and verbally begins by inviting children to help with the work of parents. Most entrepreneurs tend to learn from the experience of joining parents or family. The values adopted by children in this ethnicity are self-confidence, high work ethic.DOI: 10.17977/um022v5i12020p001

Abstract

Melasti Beach Ungasan has rapidly developed as a popular nature-based tourist destination in South Bali since its inception in 2018. As tourism grows, it becomes crucial to evaluate its development and identify sustainable management strategies. Previous studies on tourism development often focus on infrastructural growth or community involvement but rarely integrate both aspects using a systematic model. This research fills that gap by employing the Tourism Area Life Cycle (TALC) model to analyze the development stage of Melasti Beach Ungasan and assess its tourism characteristics, such as facilities, attractions, visitor trends, and local community involvement. A qualitative approach was used, with primary data gathered through field observations during the first field trip on October 11th, 2023, and secondary data from relevant literature. Descriptive-qualitative analysis reveals significant infrastructural improvements, such as the addition of parking facilities, beach clubs, and MSME kiosks. According to the TALC model, Melasti Beach is positioned between the “involvement” and “development” stages, characterized by increasing collaborations, seasonal tourism, and enhanced modern facilities. This research highlights the importance of protecting natural and socio-cultural assets while promoting active community engagement in tourism management. These factors are vital to ensuring the long-term sustainability of Melasti Beach Ungasan as a tourist destination.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter di Indonesia kian menjadi fokus utama. Guru dengan karakter luhur menjadi pondasi penting dalam mewujudkan pendidikan karakter yang berkualitas. Penelitian ini mengkaji konsep karakter luhur guru melalui pesan moral topeng Malangan, budaya lokal Jawa Timur. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif studi pustaka, dengan data dikumpulkan melalui kajian literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakter luhur guru tergambar dalam topeng Malangan dan dapat dijadikan contoh dalam proses pembelajaran. Topeng Malangan memiliki berbagai karakter yang mewakili sifat-sifat manusia, seperti Panji Asmoro Bangun (kebaikan hati, kejujuran, kesabaran), Gunung Sari (kejujuran, kebijaksanaan), Dewi Ragil Kuning (keaktifan, kebahagiaan, keberanian), dan Bapang (keberanian, kesetiaan). Karakter-karakter tersebut dapat ditanamkan kepada peserta didik melalui pembelajaran kreatif, inovatif, dan menyenangkan. Guru dapat menggunakan topeng Malangan sebagai media pembelajaran untuk menyampaikan nilai-nilai karakter. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa budaya lokal seperti topeng Malangan dengan karakter-karakter luhurnya dapat menjadi sumber berharga dalam menanamkan pendidikan karakter kepada peserta didik.

Abstract

Abstract: In providing the best learning, teachers must have good and professional competence in providing learning such as understanding students, using innovative media, and providing learning that suits students' interests. This research aims to develop RPGM game-based learning media called Trade Quest: International Trade in international trade material for grade 8 middle school. Learning media was developed using the ADDIE development model which contains procedures in the form of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The resulting media can be opened on students' computers or smartphones. Abstract

Sendang Biru is a spring which located in Southern Malang karst area.This spring is utilized by the local people to fulfill their daily needs. The aim of this research is to determine the catchment area of Sendang Biru Spring by using public participation approach. The method used was public participation approach in research by identifying the problem and the condition. Furthermore, deciding the research spots that later will be checked. The results of the research is obtained by mapping the injection locations, namely Mbah Wajib Cave, Limbah Cave, and Swallow Hole. The injection was done in rainy season, in order to wait for the existence of water flow from the surface into the cave. It was done by the researcher along with the local people that usually make use of the spring. People and other related parties know that Sendang Biru has catchment area in Mbah Wajib Cave, and swallow hole. It can be seen visually that the solution poured/injected n these locations shows the connectivity with Sendang Biru Spring.

Abstract

Pembelajaran konvensional masih banyak dilakukan oleh guru yang membuat tidak adanya ruang bagi peserta didik mengaplikasikan pengetahuan yang dimilikinya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi pembelajaran IPS berbasis permainan tradisional Boi-Boian di SMPN 9 Malang. Penelitian yang digunakan kualitatif dengan metode PTK yang mengumpulkan datanya menggunakan observasi dan dokumentasi. Prosedur tindakan kegiatan direncanakan 2 siklus, dengan tiap siklus terdapat 4 tahap: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Dalam penelitian peneliti menemukan 4 langkah dalam mengimplementasikan permainan Boi-Boian, yaitu proses perencanaan, persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Analisis evaluasi implementasi permainan tradisional Boi-Boian pada mata pelajaran IPS di SMPN 9 Malang kelas VIII D menggunakan teknik analisis SWOT. Dari tabel skor pada sikulus I dan siklus II dapat dilihat terdapat peningkatan skor yang diperoleh oleh setiap kelompok. Selama proses pelaksanaan permainan tradisional Boi-Boian peserta didik secara aktif dalam kegiatan kelompok, dengan melakukan berbagai strategi seperti seperti melakukan pembagian tugas dalam kelompok. Peserta didik dalam kelompok saling bekerja sama agar dapat menjawab pertanyaan dengan benar dan setiap kelompok terlihat antusias dan kompetitif dalam memengkan permaianan.

Abstract

This study explores the development of innovative digital learning media in geography education during the COVID-19 pandemic. It uses contextual e-comics to help people learn more about Indonesian natural resource management. These were made through a research and development process that used the ADDIE model, which stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The final product is a contextual E-Comic in PDF format designed to enhance learning in geography. Feasibility and effectiveness were vital evaluation metrics. Validation by media, subject matter experts, and linguists yielded approval ratings of 96%, 71%, and 92%, respectively. Student trials showed an 89% acceptance rate, and teacher feedback indicated a 92% approval rating. An important finding was that the E-Comic worked, as demonstrated by a paired sample t-test with a significant t-value of 0.000. This indicates that it could be a valuable educational tool during the pandemic. This study addresses the challenges of geography education during a global health crisis and showcases the potential of digital media to enhance learning experiences.
