Abstract

The economic level of the city of Pekanbaru experienced a significant increase in 2019 which was 6.01% from previous years, but since the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak in 2020, the economic condition of the city of Pekanbaru has decreased by around 2.3%. This figure is considered quite worrying for the economic condition of the people of Pekanbaru City if there are no efficient steps to overcome it.Currently the people of Pekanbaru City are required to be more innovative in utilizing existing resources by considering the narrow and limited urban conditions. Cultivation of catfish (Clarias gariepinus) by utilizing tarpaulin buckets "Bule Empal - Catfish Cultivation Bucket Tarpaulin" is one of the innovations in developing alternative livelihoods for people in urban areas who have narrow land with a relatively short maintenance time of about 3 months. In order to implement the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Education, Research, and Service. Academics can provide guidance through knowledge transfer activities, applications and assistance to community business groups to apply Bule Empal "Catfish Aquaculture with Tarpaulin Buckets" in the context of developing alternative livelihoods for the community in the midst of economic problems due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With this integrated Kukerta, the potential for neglected yards can be raised for cultivation. This shows that the touch of science and technology through integrated Kukerta is able to accelerate the development of catfish farming in the Binawidya Village of Kota Pekanbaru.

Abstract

This study was conducted in August 2014 with a survey method. Five sampling stations was chosen by taking into account differences in the surrounding anthropogenic activities. Sampling for epipelic diatoms in sediment was performed by using spatula on 5x5 cm subplots in sediment samples taken by ekman grab. Water quality parameters measured at each station are the current speed, temperature, salinity, pH, BOD, nitrate, phosphate, organic matter and sediment fractions. The results of the study found as many as 16 species of epipelic diatoms. Melosira sp., Navicula sp. and Nitzshia sp. are the dominant species and the possibilities to be considered as an indicator for water pollution status of Dumai coastal waters. Average abundance of epipelic diatoms ranged between 18.67 ind/cm2 to 67.33 ind/cm2. Epipelic diatom diversity index ranged from 1.667 to 1.960; the dominance index ranged from 0,288 to 0,392 while theuniformityindexranged from 0,891 to 0,951. The level of water pollution based on the diversity index indicated that Dumai coastal waters is catagorized as low to moderately polluted waters

Abstract

Human resources play an important role for the success of an organization or company, because humans are living assets that need special attention by the company. The fact that humans as a major asset in an organization or company must get serious attention and be managed as well as possible. In managing human resources, management is needed to be able to manage resources systematically, planned and efficiently. Of the many companies that move at high levels of potential hazards, one of them is the Oil and Gas Mining sector and in this sector work accidents often occur. In general, accidents are always interpreted as "unexpected events". Actually, every work accident can be predicted or suspected from the beginning if the actions and conditions do not meet the requirements. Statistics reveal that 80% of accidents are caused by unsafe acts, and only 20% by unsafe conditions (Silalahi, 1991). Several studies in Indonesia have been carried out to analyze Occupational Safety and Health (K3) on other elements in the company, including in the oil, gas and geothermal sectors, but the results are not always significant. PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia (PT. CPI) is one of the largest oil, gas and geothermal energy companies in Indonesia. Many sections or departments in CPI are high-risk, one of which is the Minas Gas Turbine (MGT) found in the PGT department. The problems that exist are how a Safe Work Culture, Worker Competence, Work Safety Procedures and Regulations, Management Commitment (Economy) and Work Environment affect the Work Safety of Employees in the Minas Gas Turbine section of PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia, Minas. By definition a turbine is a rotating machine that takes energy from the fluid flow. Simple turbines have one moving part, "rotor-blade assembly". One of the functions of the Minas Gas Turbine (MGT) is currently for power plants and gas producers whose uses are for production areas, offices, housing and buildings that are located around the production area. PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia and has a 115KV voltage electricity network that is spread for transmission lines from one area to another. This is very influential on the safety track record of workers who become operational support as a whole. By examining some of the components that exist as research variables, it can be concluded that a Safe Work Culture, Worker Competence and Work Environment really needs special attention by the Project Management Team (PMT) in the Minas Gas Turbine section around 27.7-31.3% While Work Safety Procedures and Regulations are a very strong variable influence on Employee Safety that is equal to 89.5%. And there is a strong influence between Management Commitment (Economy) on Employee Safety, which is 47.6%.

Abstract

Increasing population and economy in Pekanbaru City was clearly followed by anincrease in the number of motor vehicles has the potential to cause air pollution andendanger human health. This research was aimed to analyze the pollutant load gases of CO,HC, NO 2 , SO 2 and PM 10 emissions from motor vehicles at at Pekanbaru City. Survey on thevolume of motor vehicles, roadside air quality and vehicle emission test was conducted onthree different road in Pekanbaru city. The volume of motor vehicles and pollutants loadsfrom motor vehicle emissions was highest at Sudirman road and the lowest at Diponegororoad. There are very significant differences between Sudirman road with Diponegoro roadand Tuanku Tambusai road with Diponegoro road. Higher pollutant load was found for gasCO (76,4 %), than gas HC (19,4 %), gas NO 2 (3,6 %), gas SO 2 (0,1 % ) and PM 10 ( 0,7 % ).The largest contribution of pollutant load gas CO, HC and PM 10 comes from motorcycles, gasNO 2 from the city cars and gas SO 2 coming from the truck. The quality of roadside air in thethird road to the gases CO, NO 2 , SO 2 and PM 10 are still below the ambient air qualitystandards, whilest gas HC had passed the ambient air quality standard. A positive correlationbetween concentrations of roadside air pollutants with a load of motor vehicle emissions wasfound. The percentage of motor vehicle emission test results explain that the rates of vehiclesfueled with gasoline were higher than diesel vehicles and that do not pass of the emission testwere generally produced before 2007, while for diesel vehicles that do not pass the emissionstest opacity value that were produced in the 2010 onward.

Abstract

The study of ecological characteristics, health conditions and the level of vulnerability of mangrove degradation when initiating North Rupat as a Regional Aquatic Conservation Area (KKPD) was conducted in July 2018 with the aim of future baseline data and comparison. Data collection on the condition of mangrove vegetation is carried out by making line transects and plots drawn from the reference point (outermost mangrove stands) in a direction perpendicular to the coastline to the mainland. The results of the study showed that 12 identified species. The diversity index and dominance are relatively low (H’ ≤ 2.0 and 0 < C ≤ 0.5), while the uniformity is classified as stable (0.75 < E ≤ 1). For the density of mangroves the highest category of trees is at Station 4 (2525 ind/ha ± 638.15), while the density of saplings and seedlings at Station 1 (2800 ind/ha ± 873.48 and 50000 ind/ha ± 17638.34), where Xylocarpus granatum is the dominant species in the tree and seedling category (Importance Value Index/IVI 191.74% and 240.80%), while Avicennia alba was for the saplings category (IVI 216.01%). In the main land part of the North Rupat KKPD area, the mangroves' health condition was increasingly threatened by destruction compared to the small islands around it. However, overall the level of vulnerability of mangrove degradation in the initiating area of North Rupat KKPD is still relatively low.
