Abstract

The focus of this paper is the research and development, as a kind of educational research that is innovative, productive and meaningful. The product of research and development in aspects, especially in education has been able to make the job easier and more enjoyable. Developing of learning as a model, curriculum and component have been able to make learning easier. Example, with the integration of information and communication technology (ICT) into the learning process, making the learning can be done in many places. Research and development can be done with various models that have been developed by experts, such as Plomp, 4-D, and Borg and Gall. The researchers were able to select and adopt it has been developed by expert. The research phase of development should have the design, development and evaluation of the product. Indeed, studies conducted have a positive contribution to the advancement and improvement of the quality of the learning process.Kata kunci:    research and development, education, inovatif, productive, meaningfull

Abstract

This research focused on developing cooperative learning materials for biology of animal growth. This research therefore aimed designing teaching instructional, testing validity and testing practicality of the implementation of the materials upon the topic of animal growth in biology. This research employed research and development design. The first phase dealt with reconstruction or designing learning materials and the instrument that were used in cooperative learning. Next, testing instrument validity was done by expert. In the last phase, limited try out was conducted to figure out the practicality. The findings showed that learning materials and the supporting instruments were valid. Such learning materials included syllabus, lesson plans, students’ lab sheets, concept map manual and students’ achievement evaluation sheet. Implementation practicality was assessed from the cooperative learning process and students’ responses. The findings showed that the learning process was suitable with prepared syllabus and lesson plans, and students’ responses toward learning process was in good category.Kata kunci:    pembelajaran kooperatif, perangkat, instrumen, biologi perkembangan hewan

Abstract

his article is a study about how to think in education. Thinking in education should be integrated in process of learning at colleges. In philosophy, thinking in education is one of means of education for critical thinking. Effectively, thinking in education used to study some problems in education. Thinking in education is metacognition. As a part metacognition, critical thinking applied in college will produced a high quality outcomes. In other words, learning process in colleges wich involved lecturers and students interaction if and appropriate process of building the critical thinking pattern. This pattern will effective if the process is formed integratedly the college policies. Since it will affect to all of educational aspect. It is hopped the result of critical thinking in education will be able to help people in drawing a conclusion as well as applying it in their real life.Kata kunci: thinking, critical thinking, effective, education

Abstract

The report is a part of developing integrative learning model (MPI) on the biology of animal development. The research objective was to determine the needs analysis of developing MPI on the biology of animal development at STAIN Batusangkar. The research use Plomp model. The data obtained will be analyzed by data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The result showed that philosophy of STAIN Batusangkar is an integration. Analysis of the characteristics of students showed that students of STAIN Batusangkar has a heterogeneous background of the aspects of capability. These results are based on the findings of the Academic Performance Index, schools and majors while undergoing studies in high school, the course pre-condition and the results of multiple intelegencie test. Developmental of biology material is characterized by the facts, concepts, principles and theories. In conclusion, the research is a part of activity that supports of developing MPI on the biology of animal development at STAIN Batusangkar.Kata kunci:    analisis karakteristik, model pembelajaran integratif, biologi perkembangan hewan
