Abstract

This research aims to describe students’ misconceptions of thermochemical matter at SMAN 8 Pinrang, and then remediate these misconceptions using a problem-based learning model based on multiple representations. The research method used is descriptive analytics. The subjects of this research were class XI F1 students. The data collection instrument used a misconception test of three-tier multiple-choice thermochemical matter with 20 items and an interview guide. Data analysis was carried out using percentages. The research results show that misconceptions occur in the concepts of system and surroundings, exotherm and endotherm, standard enthalpy formation changes, and determining enthalpy changes based on Hess's law. The misconceptions that occur in these four concepts are 1) students identify the container as a system, 2) in exothermic reactions the temperature of the system will decrease because it releases heat into the surroundings, 3) standard formation reactions are identified as being formed from molecules or other compounds, 4) many The reaction stage can affect the magnitude of the enthalpy change. The average reduction in misconceptions for these four concepts was 44% in the medium category. The average reduction in misconceptions for each student is 43% in the medium category.

Abstract

This study aims to; 1) Describe the steps of developing STEAM-Project-based E-LKPD to improve students' chemical literacy on colloidal system material, and 2) Describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of STEAM-Project-based E-LKPD in improving students' chemical literacy on colloidal system material. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). Learning activities follow the syntax of the STEAM-Project learning model which begins with determining fundamental questions, designing projects, monitoring the activeness and progress of students' projects, then assessing the results. The research subjects were 33 students of class XI MIPA 7 SMA Negeri 9 Gowa in the 2023/2024 academic year. This research uses Thiagarajan's 4D development model which consists of 4 stages, namely the Define stage, Design stage, develop stage, and disseminate stage. However, this research is limited only to the Develop stage for certain considerations. The instruments used in this study are validity instruments in the form of instrument validation sheets, practicality instruments in the form of teacher response questionnaires, student questionnaires, and implementation questionnaires, and effectiveness instruments in the form of evaluation tests. The results of the study obtained; 1) the product validation index of 0.88 with very valid criteria, 2) the average percentage of product practicality from the responses of teachers and students in the small-scale trial stage.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas XI MIA SMAN 7 Mallawa tahun pelajaran 2021/2022 pada materi pokok larutan penyangga. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah posttest only control group design. Populasinya adalah peserta didik kelas XI MIA SMAN 7 Mallawa yang terdiri atas dua kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara random sampling dan tepilih kelas XI MIA 2 sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA 1 sebagai kelompok kontrol Variabel bebasnya adalah model pembelajaran Problem Based learning (PBL) dan model pembelajaran konvensional. Variabel terikatnya adalah kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan pemberian posttest. Tes tersebut dibuat berdasarkan indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis dan dinyatakan valid. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil analisis statistik deskriptif menunjukkan nilai rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelompok eksperimen yaitu 69,53 lebih tinggi dari kelompok kontrol yaitu 63,68. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney dengan α = 0,05 dan diperoleh Zhitung > Ztabel (8,32 > 1,64 ) sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas XI MIA SMAN 7 Mallawa pada materi pokok larutan penyangga. ABSTRACT The research was quasi-experimental which aimed to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model toward the critical thinking skills of class XI MIA SMAN 7 Mallawa in academic year 2021/2022 on the subject matter of buffer solutions. The research design used was a posttest only control group design. The population were students of classes XI MIA SMAN 7 Mallawa which consists of two classes. Sampling was done by random sampling and selected class XI MIA 2 as the experimental group and class XI MIA 1 as the control group. The independent variables were the Problem Based learning (PBL) model and the conventional learning model. The dependent variable is the critical thinking skills of students. Data collection was done by giving a posttest. The test was made based on indicators of critical thinking skills and was declared valid. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of descriptive statistical analysis showed that the average value of critical thinking skills of students in the experimental group was 69.53, which was higher than the control group, which was 63.68. The results of hypothesis testing using the Mann-Whitney test with α = 0.05 obtained Zcalculated > Ztable (8.32 > 1.64 ) so it can be concluded that there is an effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model toward the critical thinking skills of class XI MIA SMAN 7 Mallawa on the subject matter of buffer solution.

Abstract

Penerapan pelaksanaan K3 kebanyakan diselenggarakan oleh industri-industri dari perusahaan besar bukan berarti skala laborotorium di tingkat Universitas tidak harus melakukan pelatihan, malah justru setiap universitas yang memiliki laborotorium, harus wajib melaksanakan pelatihan K3 sebagai bekal sebelum masuk ke laboratorium. Perencanaan dilakukan dengan melibatkan unsur mahasiswa baru dalam lingkup FMIPA UNM tahun ajaran 2024/2025 dan tim pengabdian dalam bentuk Focus Group Discussion, yang membahas tentang waktu pelaksanaan kegiatan, bentuk sosialisasi yang akan dikerjakan, metode evaluasi, dokumentasi dan bentuk evaluasinya. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan selama dibulan September 2024 di Fakultas Matematika Dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) Universitas Negeri Makassar (UNM). Partisipasi mahasiswa dalam pelatihan dan manfaat yang dirasakan ketika akan melakukan praktikum dilaboratorium menjadi kunci utama keberhasilan pelatihan, dan hal ini terbukti dari survey yang dilakukan, dimana berdasarkan hasil survey, terlihat kepuasan peserta pelatihan lebih dari 80% untuk manfaat dan pemahanan mereka terhadap pelatihan K3.

Abstract

Kondisi gizi yang buruk yang tandai dengan pertumbuhan tinggi badan balita yang lebih pendek dibandingkan dengan anak usia sebayanya disebut dengan stunting. Anak stunting jika dibiarkan akan berdampak para proses kognitif dan kemampuan fisiknya menjadi melambat atau bahkan gagal. Susu sapi bukanlah hal yang baru bagi masyarakat terutama ibu-ibu rumah tangga. Kandungan gizi seperti kalsium, fosfat, omega, menjadi salah satu factor pendukung untuk mencegah masalah stunting pada anak, hanya saja pengolahan susu dikalangan masyarakat terutama ibu-ibu rumah tangga, masih terbatas pada minum susu. Padahal banyak produk olahan dari susu seperti mozarellah,keju krim. hal ini mendorong tim PKM menggerakkan para ibu-ibu cleaning service FMIPA UNM untuk membuat keju homemade berbahan dasar susu yang lebih murah dan bergizi. Hasil PKM pengolahan susu menjadi creamcheese home made menunjukkan minat yang sangat tinggi dari peserta, ini terlihat dari survey kepuasan peserta PKM yang rata-rata menyetujui pentingnya membuat variasi olahan susu sebesar 99% dan hampir 89% peserta akan membuat ulang kembali produk creamcheese homemade olahan dirumah, agar keluarga mereka bisa merasakan enaknya produk creamcheese homemade

Abstract

Vegetable meatballs are products made from vegetable protein but similar to the properties of real meat. The purpose of this study was to obtain selected formulation of vegetable meatballs from red bean flour and oyster mushrooms to chemical and sensory qualities according to SNI 3818−2014 concerning combination meat balls. The researched method used a complete randomized design (RAL) with four treatments and four repetition so that 16 experimental units were obtained. The results showed that the ratio of red bean flour and oyster mushrooms had a significant influence on moisture content, ash, fat, protein, crude fiber, as well as on descriptive and hedonic sensory assessments such as color, aroma, taste, elasticity, and overall acceptance. Based on this study, the selected treatment was KJ2 treatment and has met SNI 3818−2014. KJ2 treatment has a water content of 58.07%, ash content of 1.88%, fat content of 0.49%, protein content of 8.67%, crude fiber content of 3.41%. Panelist liked the overall sensory assessment of KJ2, which had a slightly brown color, smell of red bean flour and white oyster mushrooms, tasted red bean flour and white oyster mushrooms, and chewy.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of implementing Internet of Things (IoT) technology in library services on students’ reading interest at SMA Ilir Timur 1 Palembang. IoT provides ease in accessing information through features such as automatic borrowing, preference-based recommendations, and real-time collection management. However, despite increasing accessibility, students’ reading interest is still relatively low, influenced by the dominance of digital entertainment. Literature review shows that IoT has great potential to improve library service efficiency and student engagement, but its impact on reading interest is not yet fully significant. Therefore, this study recommends the development of an IoT strategy that is more integrated with local needs and digital literacy training for students and teachers. With an inclusive and adaptive approach, the implementation of IoT is expected to support an increase in students’ reading interest evenly in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ratio of health promotion to knowledge about breast Cancer and breasts Cancer early detection skills (BE AWARE) in adolescent girls at Jatiling Jambi Health Polytechnic Year 2016. This type of research is quasi experimental with non-randomized pre-test-post-test group design. Instruments used are Instruments test knowledge about breast cancer and test instruments BSE skills. Data analysis was performed multivariate (MANOVA) and paired samples T-Test and independent samples T-Test. The results of the study were (1) there was a difference in knowledge about breast cancer between the groups that were given health promotion using leaflets with the group that was given health promotion using video, video media is better and gives more dominant influence to the knowledge aspects of breast cancer. Differences in breast cancer early detection skills (BSE) between health-promoted groups used leaflets and health-promoted groups used better videos media and more dominant influence on aspect of girls' breasts self- examination. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the use of videos US a media of health promotion is better than the use of leaflets to increase knowledge about breasts cancer and girls skills in early detection of breast cancer, so educators can make the video as an alternatives tools in providing learning to students.

Abstract

This study is a quasi-experimental research (Quasi Experiment) that aims to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning model to the problem-solving ability of students Class XI SMAN 11 Makassar. The study design used was "posttest-Only Control Group Design ".The study population was the students of class XI MIA SMA Negeri 11 Makassar consisting of six classes, while the sample is a class XI MIA 4 as an experimental class and class XI MIA 6 as the control class with the number of students each 34 people. The experimental class was studied by guided inquiry model. While the control class was with conventional learning models.The independent variable in this study was guided inquirí learning model and conventional learning model. The dependent variable is the ability to solving problem.Data retrieval problem solving skills performed by administering the test problem solving abilities. Problem-solving abilities data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of inferential statistical analysis of the data prerequisite troubleshooting capabilities indicate that the data on the class experimental and control classes were not normally distributed, but had a homogeneous variance. Hypothesis testing was done by using a non-parametric test of Mann-Whitney test with α = 0.05 was obtained Zcalculated> Ztable (2:02> 1.64). The effect of guided inquiry learning model to the problem-solving ability of students in class XI MIA SMAN 11 Makassar studies on the subject matter of the reaction rate.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research) yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara menerapkan langkah-langkah discovery learning sehingga dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi termokimia. Penelitian ini berlangsung dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan evaluasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi aktivitas belajar dan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis setiap akhir siklus. Aktivitas dan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik meningkat setelah menerapkan model discovery learning dengan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut: 1) memberikan fenomena yang berkaitan dengan materi pembelajaran seperti memperlihatkan gambar yang menarik perhatian peserta didik, 2) meminta kepada peserta didik untuk mengemukakan pertanyaan dan gagasan mereka untuk membuat rumusan masalah dan hipotesis yang relevan dengan materi pembelajaran, 3) menuntut peserta didik untuk memperoleh informasi yang sesuai dengan materi melalui cara saling bertukar pendapat dan dari berbagai sumber belajar, 4) membimbing peserta didik untuk memproses data dan informasi yang diperoleh untuk menyelesaikan rumusan masalah, 5) memberikan kesempatan kepada setiap kelompok untuk mempresentasikan hasil diskusi dan menanggapi jawaban dari kelompok lain, 6) memberikan kesempatan kepada peserta didik mengajukan gagasan untuk menyimpulkan pembelajaran yang telah dilakukan. Rata-rata aktivitas belajar peserta didik pada siklus I sebesar 53,52% dengan kategori kurang aktif dan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik sebesar 57,90 dengan kategori cukup kritis. Sedangkan pada siklus II rata-rata aktivitas belajar peserta didik meningkat menjadi 76,84% dengan kategori aktif dan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik meningkat menjadi 74,90 dengan kategori kritis.
