Beef consumption needs of Indonesian population tends to increase with the increasing number of the population and public awareness of the importance of animal protein. Meanwhile the price of beef and broiler meat are fluctuative. The value of volatility describes how much the level of risk that will be faced in the future. Fluctuations in the price of beef and broiler meat can be caused by  the unequilibrium of supply and demand. The objectives of this research are (1) to identify the price volatility forecasting models of beef and broiler meat in Indonesia, (2) to identify factors that affect the price volatility of beef and broiler meat in Indonesia, and (3) to identify alternative strategies related to the price volatility of beef and broiler meat in Indonesia. This research used secondary data with the time series form in the period of February 2003 to February 2013. In this research ARCH-GARCH was used to analyze the price volatility of beef and broiler meat in Indonesia. This analysis showed that the price volatility of beef and broiler meat in Indonesia would be smaller. Factors that affect the price volatility of beef in Indonesia are the price volatility of previous period and the price variance of the previous period. While the factors that affects the price volatility of broiler meat in Indonesia is the amount of price volatility in the previous period.

High number of production and vast planting area make Pengalengan as granola potato production center of Bandung Regency. Problems faced by potato farmers of the area are price volatility, limited market information, and middleman controlled market. The purpose of this study is to analyze granola potatoes market structure, conduct, and performance at Pangalengan. The methods used are market concentration and market entry and exit barriers to analyze market structure; marketing function (exchange, physical and facilities) to analyze market conduct; and farmer share and marketing margin to analyze market performance. The result shows granola potato market has nine marketing channel, oligopsony market, farmer position as price taker and middleman caused barrier to entry and relatively efficient market performance with an average value of 27,64 percent and an average farmer share of 72,36 percent.

Kemangi is one of indigenous plants that is widely consumed in West Java. It is planted by most farmers in Ciaruteun Ilir, which is the centre of its plantations in Bogor region. The main objective of this study was to analyse the production factors of kemangi in Ciaruteun Ilir. Thirty one respondents were needed in this study, using the method of Purposive Sampling. The production factors were analysed using Maximum Likelihood methods in Cobb-Douglas model. Based on the level of significance 5%, the results showed that seeds, Urea, labours, and land size significantly affected the production.

The dairy cow is one of the lifestock commodity still have potential to develop in Indonesia. The domestic milk production only cover 1/3 of domestic demand so the most of milk remains were still imported. Cipayung village, District Megamendung, Bogor regency is one of the central production for fresh milk. The problems that faced by the most of farmers in this region are the low productivity of milk, itâs about 8-10 litre/day so itâs can influence to the income level of farmers too. The purpose of this research are to analyze about factors that have affected to the production of milk and to analyze income of dairy cow farm. This research used Cobb Douglas production function with the respondents were 35 dairy farmers members of Mekar Jaya Farmer Group. The respondents in this research were chosen by purposive sampling method where leader of the farmer group has an estimation to choose the farmers that have qualification become a respondent. Based on the results of analyzed research showed that period of lactation, forages, water and labors were factors that have significantly affected to the production of dairy cows. This analyze also showed that the value of farm R/C ratio of the cash cost was1,64 and R/C ratio of the total cost was 1,25.

One of the alternative solutions for meet the target achieving a sustainable self-sufficiency in rice, the meat self-sufficiency, energy security, and in order to go organic agriculture is a way to integrate the development of rice with cattle. The purpose of this study is to analyze the feasibility of developing an integrated rice business with cattle in Farmers Group Dewi Sri and analyze the feasibility of developing an integrated rice business with cattle in the presence of production risk in rice output and prices in the Farmers Group Dewi Sri. Location of research conducted at the Farmers Group Dewi Sri, District Karawang, West Java. Techniques used in making the respondents using census techniques with reaponden number as many as 23 people. All non-financial and financial aspects the normal conditions and the incremental net benefits feasible to be made. Beside that, financial feasibility analysis of business development that integrates rice with cattle the risk of conditions of production and output prices of rice feasible to be made. Business development activities that integrate rice with cattle is very sensitive to changes in rice productivity and the highest level of risk on production risk.
