Abstract

In the context of rapid technological advancement and the global rise of entrepreneurship, business incubators have become essential mechanisms for supporting technology-based startups, particularly in emerging economies. These incubators play a strategic role in bridging resource gaps, fostering innovation, and enhancing the survival and growth of early-stage ventures. Despite their increasing importance, there remains a limited understanding of how incubator performance directly influences startup outcomes. This study addresses that gap through a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of 920 scholarly articles published between 2010 and 2022, sourced from Scopus and Google Scholar. Using VOSviewer, the analysis identifies key research trends, influential publications, and thematic clusters related to incubator performance. The findings reveal a significant increase in research activity over the past decade, with a peak in 2018, and a strong concentration of publications in journals focused on technology transfer and innovation management. Prominent themes include academic entrepreneurship, incubator performance, technology transfer offices, and the role of innovation ecosystems involving academia, industry, and government. These themes highlight the multifaceted nature of incubator success and the importance of cross-sector collaboration. The study also emphasizes the need for integrated evaluation frameworks to enhance incubator effectiveness and guide institutional and policy-level strategies. The novelty of this research lies in its synthesis of bibliometric insights to propose future research directions and methodological improvements for assessing incubator performance. By mapping the intellectual landscape of incubator research, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of how incubators can be optimized to support sustainable startup development and economic growth in emerging markets.

Abstract

Academic Entrepreneurship is an entrepreneurial activity conducted by scientists/academics who market their research results commercially to achieve specific economic benefits or rewards. This research focuses on academic entrepreneurship that occurs at Andalas University. There is still a lack of academics whose research products for commercialization are about 22.73%. It is because there are factors that influence academic entrepreneurship activities at Andalas University. One of them is the internal academic factor. The internal factors are Control System, Organizational Culture, Human Resource Management System, Organizational Structure, and Academic Leadership Behavior. The purpose of this study is to analyze the university's internal factors on academic entrepreneurship. This research uses a quantitative approach derived from 106 Andalas University academics with Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) methods with SmartPLS Software. The result obtained in this study is that the control system exerts a positive and negative influence on academic entrepreneurship. In contrast, other factors have a significant positive influence on academic entrepreneurship. The research results show that the university's control system, organizational structure, and human resources had no significant positive effect on academics at Andalas University. Meanwhile, entrepreneurial behavior and organizational culture have a significant positive effect on academic entrepreneurship at Andalas University. Further research should be analyzed for all universities with innovative products and are ready for commercialization throughout Indonesia. This research is still a case study and needs to be developed.

Abstract

Inventory control is a very important issue. It is because the amount of inventory will determine or affect the smoothness of the production process as well as the effectiveness and efficiency of the company. PT Semen Padang is a manufacturing company that produces 10,400,000 tons of cement per year. The achievement of the cement production target at this company depends on the availability of raw materials needed in the cement production process itself. Gypsum is an additional material of the cement production process which is very important because it is a raw material that must exist in the process of making cement. So, if the inventory of gypsum cannot meet the needs of production, then the production process of cement making will be disrupted. PT Semen Padang is using the Min-Max method for inventory control. But the costs are quite high. The cost of inventory can be minimized by using another method such as EOQ (Economic Order Quantity). The conclusions of this research are in 2016 by using EOQ method, the optimal order quantity is 32,073 ton per order, and the frequency is 9 times in a year with total cost Rp. 4,757,673,813.48, and in 2017, the optimal order quantity is 34,856 tons per order and the frequency is 9 times in a year with total cost Rp. 9,694,805,608.36.

Abstract

The awarding of investment grade to Indonesian Stock Exchange marked an excellent development in the national capital market. This could be the key to attracting foreign investors that will further integrate the Indonesia capital market with international markets. Increasingly integrated capital market will also be more vulnerable to international issues such as the volatility of global stock indices as well as the volatility of world commodity prices (crude oil, CPO, gold etc.) as indicated by IHSG response to these issues. To minimize risk and maximize the return are the main goal of investment. Both of these two objectives can be achieved through stocks diversification and the portfolio development. Optimal portfolio requires the right stocks diversification. Therefore, investor needs to have information about which stocks are affected and unaffected by world commodity prices prior to diversifying. The goal of this research is to examine the way to form optimal portfolio from the group of companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange and affected by world commodity prices. Augmented Dickey Fuller (ADF) method used for stationary test of time series data and residual regression models. Regression Analysis conducted for co-integration test between commodity prices and IHSG. Error Correction Model used for correcting short-term errors. Optimal portfolio formed with Single Index Model and Treynor Index used to measure the optimal portfolio performance. Result of the study showed that gold, crude oil, platinum, rubber, corn, cotton, and Arabica coffee are the global commodities that can be used to predict the direction of IHSG movement.

Tests performed with Kendall Tau correlation test using SPSS 15 software. The results showed that the variables of product, price and promotion has a significant correlation to the consumer buying decision on Blackberry smartphones. However, variable rates become very dominant variables related to consumer purchasing decisions for Blackberry smartphones. Meanwhile the Kendall Tau correlation test on the Samsung Android smartphones, only products have a price and a significant correlation on consumer purchasing decisions against Samsung's Android smartphones, and variable products become a dominant variables related to consumer purchasing decisions. Abstract

Bakery product is a product with huge business opportunities in the domestic and international halal food market. Bakery companies demand to keep consumers' trust in their bakery products. This study aims to design the halal assessment model required to determine the critical point in the bakery-making business process. This assessment tool is intended to understand, acknowledge, and determine the critical point of the bakery production process from the halal degree and is reviewed from all aspects, such as the materials’ content, as well as the material acquisition and processing method based on 18 criteria of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) principles. The halal assessment model designed in this research used the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) approach, which was integrated into the company's business process. The halal critical bakery (HCB) was grouped based on Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model. Matrix 1 integrated GMP and business process (BP), and matrix 2 integrated GMP and HCB. The results of the design model implementation based on the standards set by the Halal Auditor of Institute for the Study of Food, Drugs, and Cosmetics Indonesian Ulema Council (LPPOM MUI) found that the company met the standard matrix component one by 47%. In comparison, matrix component 2 was only able to meet the Auditor standards by 34%, and the matrix component 3 standards were able to be fulfilled by the company by 75%. The fulfillment value of each matrix is influenced by the negative gap that occurs; the negative gap occurs because of the standard criteria in the technical matrix that are not accomplished. This halal assessment model design is expected to help the company evaluate and control critical points in the business processes.
