Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of Fiqh practical learning in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum at SMP Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School Putra. The research aims to investigate the design, supporting facilities, execution, and outcomes of Fiqh practical sessions, focusing on topics such as funeral rites. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving teachers, administrators, and students. Findings indicate that the practical learning design integrates methods such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Project-Based Learning (PjBL), and Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), which bridge theory and real-life application. Resources like Safinatunnajah and Fathul Qorib serve as primary references, offering comprehensive theoretical support. The school facilitates practical sessions using mannequins and other tools, though challenges like inadequate facilities and the need for teacher adaptation persist. Students actively participated in learning, showcasing enthusiasm and demonstrating improved understanding of Fiqh practices. However, issues such as discipline and varying levels of student seriousness were noted. Despite these challenges, practical learning has proven effective in enhancing students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor competencies, making it a valuable pedagogical approach for character-building and religious education.

Abstract

This study examines the application of crossword puzzle learning media to improve students' critical thinking skills in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) lessons in high school. Unlike previous studies that emphasize more on the development of low-level cognitive skills, this article aims to address the gap between theory and practice, in line with the demands of global competence and the independent curriculum. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study method involving 1 PAI teacher and 33 grade X students at SMAN 2 Bandung. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles & Huberman qualitative data analysis model. The findings of the study indicate that the use of crossword puzzles significantly increases student engagement, helps them think more critically, and improves their understanding of complex PAI concepts. Students feel more motivated and interested in crossword puzzle learning media, although there are some shortcomings related to the limited scope of material and the potential for frustration. This study concludes that crossword puzzle learning media can be an effective alternative to improve students' critical thinking skills in PAI learning. Abstract

The realization of students who have the Pancasila Student Profile is the goal of the current government. The rise of the three big sins of education, intolerance, and lack of discipline in the environment of elementary school students is a threat to the disintegration of basic education from within. The government is trying to present Pancasila Student Profile learning through various learning media, one of which is through the open book of PAI and Budi Pekerti. The novelty of this research is that it tries to find the values of the Pancasila student profile in PAI and character education textbooks. The purpose of this study is to examine the content of the Pancasila student profile in PAI textbooks used in high schools. This research method uses a qualitative design of literature study. The data sources of this study are divided into two categories: primary and secondary. Primary data sources come from the triangulation process of high school PAI student books, high school PAI teacher books, and regulatory documents regarding PAI learning in high school. While secondary data sources come from several relevant journals. The collected data were then analyzed in accordance with the stages of content analysis. The findings of this study indicate that Pancasila student profiles in PAI textbooks in high school have the most information, especially the dimensions of faith, devotion to God Almighty, and noble character. The values of each Pancasila student profile are explicitly and implicitly stated in each chapter of the PAI textbook. This study emphasizes that Islamic Religious Education, as one of the subjects mandated by the government, encourages the birth of students who have Pancasila student profiles. The implication of this research suggests that in the future teachers can find out the content of the Pancasila student profile in Islamic Education textbooks so that they can teach the content of the Pancasila student profile optimally

Abstract

Aqidah, as an essential part of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and Character Development element in the Independent Curriculum, should have continuous learning outcomes and teaching materials from elementary to secondary school levels. Ideally, the Independent Curriculum should provide significant space for developing religious and moral values in education while promoting tolerance toward diverse beliefs and cultures to create an inclusive environment. This contributes to the formation of strong character and a spirit of unity in diversity. To obtain an overview of the continuity of learning outcomes and teaching materials for PAI and Character Development in the aqidah element, a mapping based on the characteristics of aqidah itself is necessary. This study employs a qualitative approach using content analysis methods. The data sources consist of documents from the Independent Curriculum for the PAI and Character Development subject, analyzed through document studies. The findings indicate that the Ilahiyyah dimension is present in all curriculum phases. In contrast, the Nubuwwat dimension is explicitly found in phases A, B, and D. The Ruhaniyyah dimension is only found in phases A and D. In contrast, the Sam’iyyat dimension appears in phases A, C, and D. The teaching materials also show a gradual progression, from introducing basic concepts in elementary school to critical analysis in high school. These findings suggest that while there is continuity in the curriculum, the distribution of materials across phases still needs evaluation to ensure better integration in aqidah learning.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and formulate the concept of dhikr (remembrance of God) and Sufi meditation as part of the development of teaching methods in Islamic Religious Education (PAI), with a focus on improving moral character and enhancing students' mental well-being. The study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method, following Cooper’s six steps: (1) defining the research problem, (2) collecting data, (3) evaluating data, (4) analyzing and organizing information, (5) interpreting findings, and (6) presenting results. The primary data source for this study is Ihya Ulumuddin by Al-Ghazali, complemented by secondary sources such as books and scholarly journal articles. The findings conclude that integrating dhikr and meditation into teaching methods not only facilitates the transformation of students’ moral character but also helps reduce stress, enhance psychological tranquility, and strengthen spiritual awareness. Theoretically, this research contributes to the academic discourse on integrating dhikr and meditation into Islamic education pedagogy. Practically, implementing this method can help students improve focus, alleviate stress, fill spiritual voids, and refine their moral character.

Abstract

The rise of cases of immoral acts in the pesantren environment is a case that is commonly heard among the people of Indonesia. Pesantren, which should be a place of learning with the deepening of religion-based character education, is the opposite of being one of the places where immoral acts occur. This immoral act can be done by educators, workers and other students. Therefore, it is important to know the perspective of the community and the guardians of the students on the rise of this case, this needs to be considered because it affects the views, judgments and considerations for entering children into this religion-based educational institution. This research approach uses descriptive methods to obtain data by using questionnaires and also secondary data relating to the perspective of the general public and guardians of students. The results of this study are that the average respondent feels worried and sad about this incident, the average solution that is expected to prevent this case from happening is to provide sex education or religious education, carry out tighter supervision and improve communication with the pesantren as well as the students.
