Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to examine how the integration of sustainable Islamic marketing ethics through brand experience and social media strategies influences customer loyalty within the halal lifestyle industry, with a specific focus on the halal coffee sector in Indonesia. Method – A quantitative research design was employed using a survey-based approach, with data collected from consumers of halal coffee brands in Indonesia. The study applied Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to analyze the relationships between multidimensional brand experience, Islamic ethical values embedded in social media marketing, customer engagement, trust, and sustainable customer loyalty. Findings – The results indicate that multidimensional brand experience—comprising sensory, affective, behavioral, and intellectual dimensions—significantly enhances customer engagement and trust when aligned with Islamic marketing ethics such as transparency (shiddiq), social responsibility, and Halalan-Thayyiban principles. Ethical social media content was found to strengthen emotional brand connections, which in turn plays a critical role in fostering sustainable customer loyalty. Practical implications – The findings suggest that KopiKudu can enhance customer loyalty by providing comprehensive brand experiences and implementing effective social media marketing strategies. Similar approaches can be applied by other coffee businesses to improve customer retention, engagement, and long-term commitment to the brand. Originality/value – This study contributes to the literature by integrating the effects of Brand Experience and Social Media Marketing on customer loyalty in the context of a local coffee shop. It highlights the importance of combining offline interactions with digital strategies to achieve sustainable customer loyalty

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of compensation and workload on employees' intention to quit, with productivity as an intervening variable, at PT. Arta Boga Cemerlang (Medan Unit). A quantitative method was employed, collecting data via questionnaires distributed to 56 respondents. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results indicate that compensation has a significant negative effect on intention to quit, while workload has a significant positive effect. Employee productivity was found to mediate the relationship between compensation and intention to quit, as well as between workload and intention to quit. This research provides practical recommendations for company management to effectively manage compensation and workload to enhance productivity and reduce employee intention to quit levels.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of the Government Purchase Price (HPP) policy and fertilizer subsidies on rice production and farmer welfare, measured by the Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP), within the framework of agrarian governance in Indonesia. It examines both short-run and long-run effects while situating these policies within broader state intervention dynamics. A quantitative approach is employed using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model on monthly time-series data from January 2020 to December 2024, complemented by a qualitative review of policy regulations. The findings reveal that HPP significantly affects rice production in both the short and long term, albeit with a negative coefficient, indicating structural adjustment toward equilibrium. In contrast, fertilizer subsidies show no significant effect on production, reflecting implementation inefficiencies. Regarding welfare, HPP exerts a positive and significant influence on NTP, highlighting its role in enhancing farmers’ purchasing power, whereas fertilizer subsidies remain insignificant. This study contributes by integrating production and welfare analysis within a single empirical framework and reinterpreting econometric findings through a state–society relations lens. It concludes that output price policies are more effective than input subsidies, although their impact remains constrained by institutional and governance challenges.
