Abstract

In schools and colleges theft of students' property is a chronic problem that influences the formation of students' character and social activity. This is not only to the detriment of the quality of education, but it also undermines confidence between teachers and students and parents. So the purpose of this study is to rise over what induced stealing behavior, developing character students stolen acts and what institutions could do not be a person who likes to steal. The research employ method is a systematic literature review with qualitative approach reviewing and analyzing on character building, criminal behavior, and student theft. Searches for literature were made on international databases using the key words "deviant behavior", "theft", "character" and "students in education". The study found that stealing behavior was shaped by both internal elements (personality, self-esteem) and external phenomenon (peer influence, family factors; social injustice). This is not conducive to building good character in students, in particular on issues of honesty, responsibility and empathy. Schools can help to combat stealing by incorporating a character education program built on high morals of honesty, integrity and personal responsibility. In sum, students' stealing behavior is a personal moral issue as well as an indicator of the defected social environment and education condition waiting to be improved. Theoretical implications of the study reported above suggests that a multi level perspective (family, teacher and school) should be used to inspire an environment that’s conducive for character formation in students also to minimise stealing behavior.

Abstract

Religious education plays an important role in the character formation and academic achievement of high school students. In the context of an increasingly complex and plural world, religious education serves not only as a means to introduce certain religious teachings, but also as a tool to shape the character of students through important moral values such as discipline, tolerance, and responsibility. This study aims to review the influence of religious education on the character development and academic achievement of high school students, focusing on various models and approaches that can improve both. The method used is a systematic literature review (SLR), referring to the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, to analyze various relevant empirical studies from various scientific sources. The results of the study show that religious education that integrates the values of moderation and multiculturalism has a positive impact on the formation of students' character, as well as improving their academic achievement. The use of digital technology, such as Immersive Virtual Reality (IVR), has also been proven to enrich religious learning experiences, increase emotional engagement, and deepen students' understanding of religious teachings. However, there are challenges in optimizing the involvement of parents and communities in a more holistic religious education process. Therefore, further research is needed to develop a more effective religious education model in supporting the development of students' character and academic achievement. This research emphasizes the importance of integration between religious education, moral values, and technology to create a better learning environment and support students' academic success.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the problems in the literacy and numeracy skills of students at the elementary school level and the factors that affect them in the learning process. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. Data were collected through learning observations, in-depth interviews with classroom teachers and students, and documentation studies on learning outcomes and learning tools. Data analysis techniques are carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing by applying data validity tests through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of this study show that the literacy and numeracy skills of elementary school students are still relatively low, especially in the aspects of reading comprehension, mathematical reasoning, and the application of concepts in the context of daily life. The main causative factors include low interest in reading, limited variety of learning methods, lack of use of innovative learning media, and lack of support for the learning environment at home. This research has an originality value in mapping literacy and numeracy problems comprehensively based on the context of learning in elementary schools. The findings of this research are expected to be the basis for educators and policy makers in designing learning strategies that are more contextual, innovative, and oriented towards strengthening students' literacy and numeracy skills in a sustainable manner.

The purpose of this paper is to understand the background of Ibn Thufail's life and intellectual journey, to describe the main ideas in the story of Hayy Ibn Yaqdzan, and to analyze the relevance of the concept of Islamic educational philosophy contained therein to the development of science and education today. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method. Data were obtained from the primary work of Ibn Thufail Hayy Ibn Yaqdzan and various secondary sources in the form of books, scientific journals, and relevant literature. The data analysis technique was descriptive-analytical, namely by describing the content of the text and then analyzing it philosophically and educationally. The results of the study show that the philosophy of Islamic education in the story of Hayy Ibn Yaqdzan emphasizes the importance of the natural and potential of human reason, nature as a source and medium of learning, education through experience and reflection, stages of intellectual and spiritual development, independent learning, and harmony between reason and revelation. The ultimate goal of Islamic education according to Ibnu Thufail is the achievement of ma'rifatullah and the formation of human beings who are knowledgeable, faithful and have noble character.
