Abstract

The depletion of petroleum reserves makes the emergence of a variety of alternative energy, one of which is Biodiesel. Biodiesel is a fatty acid ester derived from vegetable oil or animal by transesterification or esterification reaction. The purpose of this study was conducted to determine the effect of the use of fuel mixture of biodiesel jelantah with heating 950C to power, torque and Sfc. The test is done by loading the lamp load from 200 - 3200 watt on variation of biodiesel fuel volume by 30%, 40% and 50%. The research method used is descriptive analysis where the result of research is described and described based on research result. From the test results resulted in the addition of biodiesel jelantah fuel effect on power, torque and Sfc generated diesel motor.

Abstract

Heat pump is a device that can be make heat and cool , which is functions as a cooling evaporator can be replaced to be a heating condenser. With adding a heat exchanger in the heat pump can provide better effect of heating and cooling. In this experiment, the heat pump using type hydrocarbon refrigerantand type friendly refrigerant to the environment, one of refrigerant isR-290. From the results that obtained value Coefficient Of Performance (COP) in the heat pump that uses a counter flow heat exchanger is 4.8 while the heat pump that does not use a counterflow heat exchanger obtained COP of 4.1. Efficiencies increase in the heat pump without using counter flow heat exchanger is 74%, otherwise the efficiency decrease of the heat pump using heat pump is 85%.

Abstract

Abstract

In generally cooling hydronic system applied to large-scale commercial or industrial use, where water cooling is processed through heat transfer mechanism in the evaporator pipe using a vapour compression system such as a chiller with refrigerant. The research idea is based on not available practice test of cooling hydronic system at the Department of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering at State Polytechnic of Indramayu which is the main competency in the course of Air Conditioning Applied. As teh utilization practice made cooling hydronic system by utilizing a vapour compression system that is split AC using refrijeran R32 is environmentally friendly. The split AC system modifies its evaporator coil into a heat exchange medium to cool water in the water tank. The cold water is then distributed in the piping installation system with the two pumps that are varied in series and parallel. From this process, it is necessary to know the working capability of the pumps in terms of its characteristics (head and capacity) or its performance, including energy losses and cooling capacity system. The results obtained are analyzed and the calculation is in accordance with theoretically known study.

Abstract

Akhir-akhir ini sering terjadi kebakaran yang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor termasuk faktor kelalaian manusia. Proses datangnya kebakaran selalu tanpa dapat diprediksi terlebih dahulu. Umumnya kebakaran diketahui apabila keadaan api sudah mulai membesar atau asap sudah mengepul keluar dari gedung itu. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan perancangan alat, mencari komponen serta mendesain pendeteksi kebakaran dari komponen-komponen yang ada sehingga alat akan bekerja lebih maksimal. Pada tahap ini juga melakukan pembuatan algoritma dan juga software. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prototipe sistem pendeteksi kebakaran yang dirancang dapat mendeteksi kebakaran berdasarkan informasi dari sensor api  dan gas, dan mengaktifkan buzzer sebagai indikatornya yang akan berbunyi.

Abstract

Information is very important to reach purpose included for a farmer. The farmers tilling the farm which can only depend on rain water need information to survive, solve problems, lessen uncertainty, increase welfare, and to compete with other competitors. In accordance with the new paradigm in development and communication, the information presented by agricultural information organization should come from the need of information which is really felt by farmers. Being known from the previous study, the fact in the location of research indicates that agricultural extensions program was not really arranged with the farmers themselves or based on the need of  information of farmer. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to fins the farmers’ need of information. The method of research which is used qualitative approach and constructive paradigm. The result of research indicates that the information need by farmers are concerning cultivation, capitalization, marketing, the rule of government and agricultural extension.

Abstract

Pengembangan agroindustri jamu merupakan upaya strategis bila dilihat dari potensi Indonesia sebagai Negara yang mempunyai keanekaragaman hayati yang tinggi, sheingga merupakan keunggulan komparatif yang dapat dikembangkan menjadi keunggulan kompetitif. Perencanaan strategis merupakan salah satu alternatif dalam menghadapi kondisi lingkungan yang semakin cepat berubah dengan semakin kompleksnya permasalahan serta situasi kedepan yang semakin tidak pasti.Kajian ini membahas perencanaan strategis dalam pengembangan agroindustri jamu yang meliputi: analisis stakeholder, identifikasi isu strategis dan hambatan dalam perencanaan strategis. Dari hasil kajian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan agroindustri jamu harus dapat memenuhi kepuasan semua stakeholder yang terlibat. Identifikasi isu-isu strategis adalah merupakan jantung dalam perencanaan strategis, dengan identifikasi isu-isu ini maka akan dihasilkan suatu rumusan strategis.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui berbagai bentuk kecemasan, waktu munculnya kecemasan, dan teknik pencak silat yang menjadi pemicu kecemasan, baik pada atlet pencak silat perempuan maupun laki-laki. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah atlet pencak silat yang minimal pernah mengikuti kejuaraan daerah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan naturalistik. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket dan studi lapangan. Selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskripsi melalui persentase. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah data bentuk pemicu atau penyebab, masa dan waktu permulaan, serta teknik yang memicu kecemasan pada atlet pencak silat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini: (1) Ada perbedaan jumlah pemicu kecemasan antara atlet perempuan dan laki-laki, 6 pada atlet perempuan dan 4 pada atlet laki-laki. (2) Terdapat selisih persentase kecemasan antara atlet laki-laki dan perempuan. Saat masa latihan dan menjelang pertandingan, atlet perempuan lebih merasakan cemas daripada atlet laki-laki. Sementara itu, pada masa pertandingan, atlet laki-laki lebih merasakan cemas dibandingkan atlet perempuan. (3) Terdapat 7 teknik yang dapat memicu kecemasan pada atlet pencak silat, dan guntingan adalah yang paling mendominasi munculnya kecemasan.

Abstract

ABSTRACTNutritional problems in school children need to be given serious attention. Impact of nutritional problems in school children can affect motor skills and academic achievement. The purpose of this study was to determine The Correlation of family members, maternal nutrition knowledge and level of energy consumption with nutritional status of elementary school children. Cross sectional study was conducted, the sample totaled 84 students. A total of 51.2% of families have a large number of members, as many as 65.5% of mothers have sufficient knowledge of nutrition, as many as 85.7% had levels less energy consumption and as much as 65.5% had normal nutritional status. The analysis was performed with Spearman Range test. There is a correlation between level of energy consumption and nutritional status (p = 0.001), there was no association of family members (p = 0.244), maternal nutrition knowledge (p = 0.115) with the nutritional status of school children. Abstract

ABSTRACT Government continue to try to improve level health of society through various developed program. Behavior of society represent one of the level determinant health of society. This Research aim to know various indisposed behavior which done by Countryside society of Karanggintung District Sumbang of Sub-Province of Banyumas. This type research is research of observasional with method survey and this research have the character of analytic descriptive, that is research elaborating and diging how a phenomenon happened. Population at this research is all citizen residing in or residing in Countryside of Karanggintung  District Sumbang of Sub-Province of Banyumas counted 1.080 family head occupying house counted 973. Because research location do not too wide of, hence all population made as research sampel. Thereby this research is research of population. Data collecting done by observation or perception at research location. From result of research concluded as indisposed behavior which still done by Countryside society of Karanggintung District Sumbang of Sub-Province of Banyumas, covering: (1) take a bath, cleaning clothes and clean appliances/ housewares of household in river, (2) defecating, throwing away garbage and throw away family waste to river, (3) still many under the way house and look after livestock close to house, even include livestock into house, and (4) still many lawn or location which do not maintained (to be growed by crop no advantage, bamboo trees, big trees don't maintained, etc.), less grave location maintained, dirty gangways and growed by many grass, and also dirty street shoulders because grass and garbage) Keyword: Indisposed life pattern, Public health.
