Abstract

Monosodium glutamate (MSG) has long been used as a flavoring in various food products. However, concerns regarding the health impacts of MSG consumption, including sensitivity symptoms such as headaches and high blood pressure, have prompted many consumers to seek healthier alternatives. This study aims to evaluate adults' interest in the use of non-MSG natural flavorings and identify factors that influence this preference. The research method used was a quantitative survey with a sample of 53 adult respondents selected randomly. The research results showed that 56.6% of respondents preferred natural non-MSG flavorings for health reasons, while another 43.4% expressed a desire to use or prefer products made from artificial MSG. Natural alternatives such as anchovies, mushrooms, seaweed and cheese proved popular among respondents. The study concluded that there is significant interest among adults in switching to natural, non-MSG flavorings. Recommendations for food manufacturers include developing products with natural flavors, educating consumers about health benefits, and transparency in product labeling. In this way, manufacturers can meet the needs of a growing market and support healthier eating patterns.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of menu creativity and innovation on the purchasing interest of millennial consumers in the culinary business. The background of this study is based on changes in the consumption behaviour of millennials, who not only pursue taste but also pay attention to visual aspects, unique value, and emotional experiences when choosing food. This study employs a quantitative-descriptive approach using a survey method targeting 120 millennial respondents who actively consume creative and innovative culinary offerings. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The results of the study indicate that menu creativity (β = 0.341; p < 0.001) and menu innovation (β = 0.468; p < 0.001) have a positive and significant effect on millennial consumers' purchasing interest, both partially and simultaneously (R² = 0.576; F = 47.53; p < 0.001). These findings support the Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR) theory, which explains that creativity and innovation as stimuli can shape consumers' perceptions and emotions, ultimately leading to purchasing decisions. This study provides strategic implications for culinary business actors to integrate creative design and innovative approaches in product development to be more relevant to the preferences of the digital-native generation.

Abstract

Abstract

This study adopts the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a theoretical framework to analyze the influence of system factors and organizational structure on the successful implementation of integrated eCampus systems in higher education. Digital transformation in higher education is a complex challenge influenced by system quality, information quality, organizational support, managerial support, and human resource capacity. The research uses a quantitative approach, with data collected through surveys and analyzed using PLS-SEM. The results confirm that the measurement model exhibits adequate validity and reliability. The inner model analysis reveals that all hypothesized relationships between constructs are statistically significant.Crucially, the paths demonstrating the greatest influence were the relationship of Perceived Ease of Use to Perceived Usefulness (? = 0.735) and Behavioral Intention to Use to User Satisfaction (? = 0.727).These findings confirm that perceived ease of use and behavioral intention to use are key factors in increasing perceived benefits and user satisfaction with the eCampus system. This research offers theoretical contributions to the development of the TAM model and practical implications for policymakers in designing effective and sustainable academic information system implementation strategies.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (PKM) implements a comprehensive approach in building student economic independence management through the development of innovation and entrepreneurial creativity at the Ummul Quro Islamic Boarding School, responding to global challenges where creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship are emphasized as the main force in encouraging the development of a rapidly changing world. This study uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach involving 45 students and ustadz for an intensive four-month period, combining experience-based entrepreneurship training with Business Model Canvas workshops and experience sharing activities with successful entrepreneurs of pesantren alumni. The results of the program showed a significant transformation in the creative thinking skills of students which increased by 72%, the development of 28 innovative product prototypes, and the formation of 12 new business units with a sustainable business approach. This program contributes to the achievement of SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), strengthening the positioning of implementing universities in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings through measurable and far-reaching community engagement.

Abstract

This paper examined the effect of obedience pressure on real earnings management. It also also investigated whether the relationship between obedience pressure and real earnings management is moderated by individual’s religiosity level. Religiosity is an individual believed as sources of ethical value that would normatively affect the management ethical decision. Prior studies have documented that management decision could be influenced by obedience pressure, however, there is limited study that specifically tested the effects of obedience pressure and religiosity on real earnings management. This study utilized a laboratory experiment with a 2 x 2 (obedience pressure x level of religiosity) factorial design involving 89 participants. This study found that individuals under obedience pressure were more likely to perform real earnings management than control group. However, religiosity did not significantly mitigate the association between obedience pressure and real earnings management. There is no significant effect of individual’s religiosity level on real earnings management decision.
