Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of land area and agricultural technology on rice production in Indonesia. The research method employed is quantitative data analysis, which examines the impact of land area and agrarian technology on rice production in Indonesia. The analytical tool used is regression analysis, utilizing Stata 14 software. This study also employs the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression analysis, as the data used in this research is cross-sectional data from the Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS) Wave 5 (2014), which is used to identify the influence of land area and agricultural technology on rice production. The results indicate that land area significantly affects rice production in Indonesia. A 1 percent increase in land area leads to a 0.37 percent increase in yield. Additionally, the application of agricultural technology through irrigation systems, whether from rainwater sources, well or pump irrigation, or other water sources, also significantly affects rice production. Moreover, using agricultural technology through rice seed varieties significantly enhances harvest yields, although the white glutinous rice variety does not show a significant effect.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze differences in mathematical understanding of fourth grade students at UNISMUH Makassar Labschool based on their learning styles. The background to this research stems from various problems found in the field, such as students' low mathematical understanding, teachers' lack of understanding of learning styles, and the lack of research related to learning styles at the elementary school level. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with phenomenological methods to explore students' subjective experiences in understanding integer material based on visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles. The research results show that students with an auditory learning style tend to excel in solving problems verbally and narratively, while visual students are better at understanding basic concepts through pictorial representations, but have difficulty in advanced applications. Kinesthetic students show moderate comprehension, depending on the physical activity and props used. Although differences were found in the level of mathematical understanding between learning styles, these differences were not statistically significant. Thus, learning style is not the only determining factor in students' mathematical understanding, but it still needs to be considered in planning more adaptive learning.

Abstract

This study analyzes tourists' perceptions, satisfaction, and expectations of Southwest Papua's tourist attractions to provide recommendations for improving tourism quality. This study uses qualitative methods, including in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation through video and photos, to explore tourists' perceptions, satisfaction, and expectations in Southwest Papua. The results of this study are: 1) In the three domains of tourists' perceptions, destination attractions, facilities and services, as well as safety and comfort.  Some tourists generally expressed positive perceptions, appreciating the authenticity of the natural environment and the immersive cultural experiences. However, certain challenges, such as unpredictable weather, accommodations, homestays, and management issues, led to negative perceptions, particularly among tourists from Asia. 2) Emotional and social satisfaction are the highest-rated aspects experienced by nearly all 350 tourists, surpassing functional satisfaction. Their sense of happiness is attributed to effective tour organization, fluent communication by tour leaders, and well-established social interactions with local communities. 3) Tourists expect better facilities and more government involvement in infrastructure and local training to improve the tourism experience. Collaboration between the government and tourist villages will greatly contribute to enhancing the positive values for visiting tourists.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini membahas tentang pembentukan karakter siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD) dengan pengajaran sastra. Hal tersebut dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan yang dialami siswa pada saat ini, yaitu terkait dengan menurunnya moral, kreativitas serta interaksi siswa baik di lingkungan sekolah dan masyarakat. Langkah-langkah yang dapat ditempuh adalah penguatan pemahaman siswa terkait pengajaran sastra tersebut mempunyai muatan kajian antara manusia dengan lingkungan kehidupannya. Hal tersebut tentutnya ditanamkan sejak siswa masih duduk di bangku pendidikan Sekolah Dasar (SD). Adapun bentuk langkah-langkah yang harus di pahami tersebut adalah, (1) Pengaplikasian pembentukan karakter siswa SD, baik di lingkungan sekolah maupun di lingkungan keluarga, (2) Pengaplikasian pengajaran sastra siswa SD, dan (3) optimalisasi pembentukan karakter siswa SD dengan pengajaran sastra. Dengan memahami pelaksanaan tersebut, maka diharapkan terciptanya kehidupan siswa yang berkarakter, sehingga generasi yang berkarakter tersebut dapat membangun bangsa pada kehidupan yang lebih baik. KATA KUNCI: Pembentukan Karakter, Siswa Sekolah Dasar, Pengajaran Sastra. CHARACTER ESTABLISHMENT OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS WITH LITERATURE TEACHING ABSTRACT: This study discusses the character building of elementary school students by teaching literature. This is motivated by the problems experienced by students at this time, which is related to the decline in morale, creativity and student interaction both in the school environment and in the community. The steps that can be taken are strengthening students' understanding regarding the teaching of literature that has a study content between humans and their environment. This is of course instilled since students are still sitting on the elementary school (SD) education bench. The forms of the steps that must be understood are, (1) the application of character building for elementary school students, both in the formal education environment and in the family environment, (2) the application of teaching literature to elementary school students, and (3) optimizing the character formation of elementary school students by literature teaching. By understanding this implementation, it is hoped that the life of students with character will be created, so that a generation with such character can build the nation for a better life.KEYWORDS: Character Building, Elementary School Students, Literature Teaching.

Abstract

In an era where English proficiency dictates global academic and professional mobility, mastering the TOEFL Reading section remains a significant hurdle for many Indonesian EFL learners. Despite familiarity with widely endorsed strategies such as skimming, scanning, and vocabulary enhancement, consistent application under exam pressure remains elusive. This study addresses a critical gap in existing research by investigating not only the types of challenges faced by TOEFL takers but also the cognitive and strategic dissonances that hinder their performance. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the study collected quantitative data from the reading scores of 15 test-takers at an English Language Center in Tondano, North Sulawesi, and complemented it with qualitative insights from semi-structured interviews. The findings reveal persistent difficulties in time management, complex vocabulary processing, and inference-based questions, despite students’ awareness of effective strategies. Notably, the study uncovers that the mere knowledge of techniques is insufficient without strategic internalization, adaptive focus, and real-time cognitive flexibility. Students identified vocabulary expansion, active reading, and timed practice as the most impactful strategies, yet gaps between awareness and execution remain. The study’s contribution lies in offering a nuanced understanding of these strategic breakdowns and advocating for targeted pedagogical interventions, including strategy-focused curricula and individualized practice modules. These findings hold wider implications for TOEFL preparation programs, suggesting the need for personalized, cognition-aware teaching models that not only transmit strategies but also cultivate their consistent application in high-stakes contexts.

Abstract

Usaha pencucian sepeda motor merupakan peluang usaha yang prospektif di tengah tingginya jumlah pengguna sepeda motor di Indonesia. Namun, usaha ini masih banyak mengalami permasalahan, seperti belum tersedia instalasi listrik yang aman dan memadai. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat, dilakukan perencanaan dan pemasangan instalasi listrik yang sesuai standar keselamatan di tempat pencucian sepeda motor Artos di Desa Penfui Timur, Kabupaten Kupang. Metode yang digunakan dalam pemasangan instalasi listrik meliputi analisis aktifitas pencucian sepeda motor, perencanaan, pemasangan, dan pengujian untuk memastikan instalasi listrik berfungsi secara aman dan memadai. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pemasangan instalasi listrik yang tepat dapat meningkatkan operasional dan keselamatan kerja di tempat pencucian sepeda motor. Kegiatan ini juga memberikan kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya instalasi listrik yang aman dan memadai sesuai standar.

Abstract

The decline in students' creativity in Indonesian language learning is often caused by teaching methods that lack innovation. Many educators still use the conventional lecture method, which does not actively engage students in the learning process. This affects the low level of students' creativity, as seen from their lack of ability to think critically, communicate, and express new ideas. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Discovery Learning method in improving students' creativity in Indonesian language learning. The method used in this study was a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, involving Indonesian language teachers and students as research subjects. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that the Discovery Learning method can improve students' creativity in critical thinking, writing, and communication. Students become more active, independent, and have higher learning motivation. Thus, this method is recommended to be applied more widely in Indonesian language learning to improve students' creativity

Abstract

Good language skills in elementary school children are an important factor in their academic and social development. This study aims to analyze effective and enjoyable learning styles and strategies in cultivating the language skills of elementary school students. The method used is qualitative research with a case study approach, involving five teachers and ten students as participants. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results of the study show that learning styles and strategies based on language games, the use of picture story media, project-based literacy approaches, as well as interactive and collaborative methods contribute positively to the improvement of students’ language skills. In line with the indicators, students who were involved in language game-based learning showed improvement in vocabulary and speaking skills, while the use of picture storybooks helped enhance reading comprehension. The project-based literacy approach, such as daily journal writing, was also proven to improve students’ writing skills. However, the implementation of these strategies involves limitations in learning facilities, differences in students’ ability levels, and limited instructional time. This study recommends strengthening the variety of learning strategies, improving literacy facilities, and providing support from both the school and parents to create a more conducive learning environment. Through the implementation of innovative and experience-based methods, language learning at the elementary school level can become more engaging and effective for students

Abstract

Permasalahan keluarga menjadi hal yang menrik untuk diteliti terutama jika dikaitkan dengan prestsi akdemik siswa, siswa dalam keluarga yang harmonis dan bahagia serta nyaman dapat menigkatkan preatasi akademik disekolahnya. Penelitian ini meruapakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui literasi hukum perkawinan untuk mencapai keluarga bahagia dengan harapan prestasi siswa meningkat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan Literasi hukum perkawinan diperoleh klasifikasi baik dengan jumlah 24 orang responden sebesar 51%. Sedangkan kebahagiaan keluarga diperoleh klasifikasi sangat baik dengan jumlah 20 responden sebesar 43%. Hal ini dapat kita simpulkan bahwa literasi hukum perkawian pada orang tua wali murid sekolah dasar dalam kategori baik. Jika dilihat dari prestasi maka anak anak mereka juga memperoleh prestsi yang baik disekolahnya. Kemudian dari kebahagiaan keluarga dapat kita simpulkan bawa kebahagiaan keluarga dalam kategori sangat baik jika di lihat dari prestasi maka anak-anak mereka juga memperoleh prestasi yang baik pula. Rekomendasi bagi semua pihak dalam mendidik diperluakan literasi hukum perkawianan dan keluarga bahagia menjadikan siswa nyaman didalam keluarganya maka akan mudah membuat siswa berprestasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis stilistika dan estetika bahasa dalam lirik lagu Band Sukatani, dengan fokus pada elemen-elemen bahasa yang membentuk makna dan pengalaman estetika bagi pendengar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis teks, yang mengutamakan analisis stilistika melalui elemen diksi, figur retoris, dan struktur kalimat, serta estetika bahasa yang tercipta dalam lirik lagu. Data penelitian diperoleh dari lirik lagu-lagu Band Sukatani yang dipilih secara purposif, yang mencakup berbagai tema, seperti perjuangan, kehilangan, cinta, dan pencarian diri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lirik lagu Band Sukatani menggunakan diksi yang kuat dan emosional, figur retoris seperti metafora dan personifikasi, serta struktur kalimat yang sederhana namun padat makna. Tema-tema universal yang diangkat dalam lirik lagu, seperti perjuangan dan pencarian jati diri, menciptakan pengalaman estetika yang mendalam bagi pendengar. Estetika bahasa yang terkandung dalam lirik lagu memperkaya makna dan mengundang pendengar untuk terlibat dalam proses introspeksi dan refleksi emosional. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa lirik lagu Band Sukatani tidak hanya menyampaikan pesan, tetapi juga menciptakan hubungan emosional yang kuat dan menawarkan pengalaman estetika yang kaya, menjadikannya lebih dari sekedar karya musikal, namun juga karya yang mendorong pendengar untuk merenung dan merefleksikan kehidupan.
