Abstract

Empowering Cooperatives and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is strategic to boost the national economy. East Nusa Tenggara (ENT), as one of the cooperative provinces, is experiencing rapid growth in both quantity and quality. As pillars of regional and national economics, Cooperatives need to be developed, especially for small communities, in their various productive businesses. The development of cooperatives in NTT Province is quite significant until 2023, namely 4,301. Three thousand eight hundred sixty-six cooperatives are legal entities and active, while 435 cooperatives are not yet legal entities. The Koperasi Simpan Pinjam Sahabat Literasi Flobamorata (KSP Batera) is an institution founded by members who have the same destiny and share the same responsibility in the economic field. Its development is quite advanced regarding assets and the number of members. The main problem faced by KSP Batera is that financial management is still manual, and an Annual Member Meeting (AMM) has yet to be held. This happens because the educational background is inappropriate, and there needs to be more knowledge about the Cooperative Financial Accounting System (CFAS). Training activities for the management team on a computer-based financial accounting bookkeeping system is the best solution for the future development of this cooperative. The final result of the training activity is that the management team can complete a computer-based bookkeeping system and financial reports and prepare AMM reports to be accounted for after the close of the financial year. Maximum knowledge transfer occurs because the learning model in the form of theory and practice is 30% and 70%, respectively. Apart from that, assistance is also provided for managers both offline and online

Abstract

This study investigates the challenges faced by English Education students at Universitas Pendidikan Muhammadiyah Sorong due to deficiencies in foundational English skills, focusing on their confidence and classroom management during teaching practicums. The research has three primary objectives: to identify specific challenges, analyze the impact of these deficiencies on students' confidence and classroom management abilities, and propose effective interventions. Utilizing a quantitative research design, data were collected from sixth-semester students through structured surveys and self-report questionnaires, which assessed perceived challenges, confidence levels, and classroom management skills. The findings revealed significant difficulties in vocabulary (72%), grammar (65%), pronunciation (58%), listening comprehension (60%), and speaking fluency (70%), compounded by limited exposure to English-speaking environments. A strong correlation was found between low English proficiency and decreased self-confidence, with 68% of respondents feeling unprepared to manage classrooms effectively. To address these challenges, the study proposes targeted interventions, including enhanced language support programs, peer mentoring, simulation activities, regular feedback mechanisms, and workshops on classroom management. These recommendations aim to improve the teaching practicum experience for English Education students, ultimately fostering their professional development and effectiveness as future educators.

Abstract

Extending the planting area to a less-fertile soil, such as Ultisols, become inevitable choice to increase the national chili pepper production in Indonesia as this types of soil is the largest part of dry land of Indonesia, about 29.7% or around 51 million ha.  However, efforts to increase its productivity by providing sufficient fertilizers application is most frequently inefficient because in the conventional fertilizer applications, broadcasted fertilizer on the soil bed, are not readily available for the plant as their solubility is limited under the plastic mulch and still in the form of granular until the end of planting season.  Fertigation, therefore, maybe the answer for this problem.  The objective of this study was to determine the best NPK fertigation method on four chili pepper hybrids.  The experiment was conducted in a randomized complete block design with three replication, and the treatments were arranged in a split plot design.  As the main plots were NPK fertigation intensity, i.e. 100%, 75%, 50%, 25% and 0% fertigation with the remnant fertilizers were circularly broadcasted surrounding the plant.  As the subplots were chili pepper hybrids, i.e. ‘Maxima’, H39, H14, and ‘UNIB CHR17’.  The results showed that there was no interaction effect of fertigation intensity indicated that all hybrid genotypes showed similar pattern of responses.  The H39 hybrid had better vegetative growth compared to other hybrids in term of plant height, dichotomous height, stem diameter, number of branches, plant fresh-weight.  Whereas the hybrid cultivar ‘Maxima’ showed the highest yield followed by H14 and cultivar ‘UNIB CHR17’.  The 100% fertigation was the best method of NPK fertilizer application for chili pepper in Ultisols.keywowrd: fertigation, chili pepper, fertilizer application, acidic soil

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of land area and agricultural technology on rice production in Indonesia. The research method employed is quantitative data analysis, which examines the impact of land area and agrarian technology on rice production in Indonesia. The analytical tool used is regression analysis, utilizing Stata 14 software. This study also employs the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression analysis, as the data used in this research is cross-sectional data from the Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS) Wave 5 (2014), which is used to identify the influence of land area and agricultural technology on rice production. The results indicate that land area significantly affects rice production in Indonesia. A 1 percent increase in land area leads to a 0.37 percent increase in yield. Additionally, the application of agricultural technology through irrigation systems, whether from rainwater sources, well or pump irrigation, or other water sources, also significantly affects rice production. Moreover, using agricultural technology through rice seed varieties significantly enhances harvest yields, although the white glutinous rice variety does not show a significant effect.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze differences in mathematical understanding of fourth grade students at UNISMUH Makassar Labschool based on their learning styles. The background to this research stems from various problems found in the field, such as students' low mathematical understanding, teachers' lack of understanding of learning styles, and the lack of research related to learning styles at the elementary school level. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with phenomenological methods to explore students' subjective experiences in understanding integer material based on visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles. The research results show that students with an auditory learning style tend to excel in solving problems verbally and narratively, while visual students are better at understanding basic concepts through pictorial representations, but have difficulty in advanced applications. Kinesthetic students show moderate comprehension, depending on the physical activity and props used. Although differences were found in the level of mathematical understanding between learning styles, these differences were not statistically significant. Thus, learning style is not the only determining factor in students' mathematical understanding, but it still needs to be considered in planning more adaptive learning.
