Abstract

ackground: Produktivitas petani pisang di Desa Cileles, Lebak, masih rendah akibat tingginya frekuensi gagal panen dan biaya produksi yang tinggi. Permasalahan ini disebabkan oleh minimnya pengetahuan petani terkait hama dan penyakit, serta kurangnya penerapan metode budidaya yang berkelanjutan. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakan ini ini adalah memberikan edukasi kepada petani sebagai mitra di desa binaan mengenai deteksi dini hama dan penyakit serta strategi pencegahan yang efektif untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan kualitas hasil panen. Metode: Metode yang digunakan meliputi pelatihan intensif kepada petani tentang identifikasi hama, penyakit, dan praktik pengendalian yang ramah lingkungan, serta pendampingan dalam penerapan budidaya pisang yang berkelanjutan. Hasil: Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani dalam mengenali hama dan penyakit, yang berkontribusi pada penurunan biaya produksi dan peningkatan kualitas buah pisang. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ini terbukti efektif dalam mengoptimalkan produktivitas petani pisang di Desa Cileles, Lebak.

Abstract

Makrofungi merupakan organisme eukariotik, heterotrof dan kosmopolitan. Umumnya memiliki tubuh buah besar dan dapat diamati secara langsung morfologinya mulai dari ukuran, warna dan bentuk yang memiliki karakteristik beragam. Fungi umumnya hidup di serasah daun dan kayu yang membusuk sebagai pemasok zat organik untuk sumber nutrisi bagi fungi. Selain itu fungi juga tumbuh di pohon hidup, bahkan di tanah dan sekitar air terjun. Salah satu daerah yang sesuai bagi pertumbuhan fungi yaitu di daerah Curug Sawer yang terletak di Cisitu, Kecamatan Ciomas, Banten. Daerah ini memiliki faktor lingkungan yang sesuai untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan fungi, sehingga penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi morfologi dan peranan jenis fungi yang ditemukan di daerah Curug Sawer, Ciomas. Pengamatan ini dilakukan menggunakan metode jelajah atau eksplorasi dengan menyusuri setiap sudut lokasi pengamatan. Makrofungi yang ditemukan sangat beragam dan bervariasi antara lain: Scleroderma cepa, Sanguinoderma rude, Ganoderma applanatum, Polyporus squamosus, Trametes gibbose, Pluteus boudieri, Hygrocybe Cantharellus, Favolaschia manipularis, Cyathus striatus, Xylaria polymorpha, Marasmius bulliardii, Scleroderma sinnamarience, Scleroderma citrinum dan Cymatoderma caperatum.

Abstract

Indonesia, sebagai negara megabiodiversitas, memiliki kekayaan fungi yang luar biasa namun belum sepenuhnya teridentifikasi dan tedokumentasi dengan baik. Curug Cikotak menjadi lokasi yang menarik untuk penelitian identifikasi makrofungi. Kondisi kawasan sekitar air terjun yang lembab dan kaya akan bahan organik, menyediakan habitat yang ideal bagi berbagai jenis fungi yang mungkin belum pernah didokumentasikan sebelumnya. Kondisi mikroklimat yang unik di sekitar air terjun, seperti kelembaban tinggi, suhu yang relatif stabil, dan ketersediaan substrat yang beragam, menciptakan niche ekologis yang dapat mendukung keberadaan spesies fungi yang khas dan mungkin endemik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengeksplorasi dan mengidentifikasi makrofungi di Curug Cikotak. Pemilihan lokasi ini didasarkan pada keberlimpahan makrofungi di Kawasan Air Terjun Curug Cikotak. Kondisi lingkungan yang lembab dan kaya nutrisi di sekitar kawasan Air Terjun menciptakan lingkungan yang ideal bagi pertumbuhan jamur. Data lapangan dianalisis secara deskriptif mencakup ciri morfologi fungi dan substratnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pengukuran parameter lingkungan seperti suhu, intensitas cahaya, dan kelembaban. Hasil dari penelitian ini telah Ditemukan total 8 spesies yang termasuk dalam 5 famili berbeda. Dari 8 spesies tersebut, 6 spesies telah teridentifikasi hingga tingkat spesies, sementara 2 spesies (Polyporus sp. dan Laetiporus sp.) hanya teridentifikasi hingga tingkat genus. Dari hasil eksplorasi juga ditemukan jamur makroskopis yang bersifat racun yaitu spesies Amanita bisporigera. Habitat dari beberapa jamur yang telah ditemukan tersebut didominasi pada tanah, pohon dan kayu-kayu yang sudah lapuk. Penyebaran jamur Basidiomycetes dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor lingkungan, termasuk ketinggian tempat, curah hujan, suhu, dan kelembaban.

Abstract

Tanaman sehat umumnya kaya akan komunitas fungi rizosfer. Beberapa penelitian melaporkan tingginya diversitas fungi pada bagian rizosfer tanaman hortikultura mampu menekan penyakit sehingga tanaman lebih tahan. Penyakit layu fusarium atau Panama Disease merupakan penyakit utama pada budidaya pisang. Pisang yang tahan pada tanah terkontaminasi umumnya kaya akan mikroba rizosfer. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan komunitas fungi rizosfer pada tanaman yang terserang Fusarium dengan tanaman sehat pada pisang-pisang lokal di Kabupaten Pandeglang, Banten. Sampel diambil di enam kecamatan yaitu Cadasari, Banjar, Menes, Pandeglang, Saketi, dan Cisata. Sampel yang diambil berasal dari rizosfer pisang yang bergejala layu fusarium (symptomatic plants) dan yang lebih tahan, tidak menunjukkan gejala (asymptomatic plants). Identifikasi tanaman yang sakit menggunakan deteksi cepat dengan PCR. Isolasi fungi dilakukan dengan metode pengenceran berseri pada medium agar dekrosa kentang. Isolat fungi yang telah dimurnikan dan dibuat biakan kultur spora tunggal kemudian diidentifikasi secara morfologi menggunakan mikroskop dengan perbesaraan 1000x. Total 63 isolat fungi berhasil diisolasi dan diidentifikasi, terdiri dari tujuh genus: Aspergillus, Curvularia, Fusarium, Gongronella, Mucor, Penicillium, dan Purpureocillium. Komposisi fungi dari kedua jenis rizosfer tidak jauh berbeda, namun keragaman species fungi pada tanaman pisang tanpa gejala lebih tinggi dibanding pisang yang terserang fusarium. Aspergillus dan Fusarium adalah fungi yang paling banyak ditemukan. Penelitian ini memberikan informasi komposisi dan keragaman species fungi pada rizosfer pisang lokal yang terserang maupun yang lebih tahan penyakit layu fusarium. Studi molekuler yang dapat menghitung kelimpahan species dan dinamikanya selama proses terjadinya infeksi diperakaran akan membantu manajemen penyakit layu fusarium untuk menciptakan ekosistem tanah yang dapat menekan penyakit.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the type of mushroom on the product quality of mushroom nuggets fortified with moringa leaves with organoleptic and chemical parameters and to determine the level of antioxidant activity. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with one treatment factor (type of mushroom). The mushrooms used are oyster mushrooms, straw mushrooms, and enoki mushrooms. The result showed that all samples of mushroom nuggets were acceptable to the panelists, with levels of preference ranging from neutral to favorable. Mushroom nuggets fortified with Moringa leaves have a protein content of 14.90-15.51% and a fat content of 8.78-9.68%. The results of the data analysis showed that the control nuggets were significantly different from all the nuggets treated with different types of mushrooms in the parameters of aroma, taste, and texture. However, the treatment of the nuggets with different types of mushrooms did not show significant differences in the parameters of aroma, taste, and texture. The effects of different types of mushrooms on the protein and fat content of the nuggets were not significant (p > 0.05). The IC50 value of the antioxidant activity of mushroom nuggets fortified with Moringa leaves ranged from 5,500 ppm–34,547 ppm, with a very active category.

Abstract

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) form mutualistic interactions with plants, including Cynometra cauliflora (Namnam), a tropical indigenous species from the Fabaceae family. This study explores the educational potential of this biological relationship to enrich high school biology education under the Kurikulum Merdeka framework. Field research was conducted at PT Chandra Asri’s Biodiversity Park in Cilegon, Banten Province, Indonesia, an area with rich local biodiversity and a tropical rainforest climate.  The study used a qualitative content analysis approach following an exploratory-descriptive model. Nine naturally growing C. cauliflora individuals were selected for morphological observations and root sampling. Morphological characteristics were documented following standard botanical protocols, while AMF colonization was assessed through root clearing, Phillips and Hayman staining method, and microscopic observation. The percentage of AMF colonization was calculated using the gridline intersect method. Habitat characterization to understand the ecological context. Curriculum analysis reviewed Indonesian biology standards, textbooks, and scientific literature to map potential integrations. Key concepts such as mutualism, nutrient cycling, biodiversity conservation, and plant physiology were identified for curriculum enrichment. The findings suggest that studying C. cauliflora and its AMF association can effectively support Capaian Pembelajaran (Learning Achievement Targets), fostering student skills in scientific methods, environmental awareness, and critical thinking. Incorporating local examples promotes contextual and inquiry-based learning, aligning with the spirit of the Kurikulum Merdeka and strengthening students’ ecological literacy. In conclusion, the mutualistic relationship between C. cauliflora and AMF offers a valuable, locally relevant scientific model for enhancing biology education. It bridges scientific knowledge, cultural understanding, and sustainability, preparing students for real-world ecological challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the trophic status of the waters of Sindang Heula Dam in terms of chlorophyll-a content and its relationship with other water parameters. The study was conducted in April 2021. The sampling location was determined by purposive sampling method with 5 stations. Sampling of chlorophyll-a was carried out using a composite sampling technique, which was then tested by spectrophotometric methods. Physical and chemical parameters of the waters measured included temperature, brightness, TSS, pH, DO, BOD, nitrate, nitrite, and phosphate. The results showed that the content of chlorophyll-a ranged from 12,733–63,457 g/L. Based on the results of the study, the waters of the Sindang Heula Dam have a eutrophic status to hypereutrophic, this indicates that the waters have been heavily polluted due to high levels of nutrients. ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui status trofik perairan Bendungan Sindang Heula ditinjau dari kandungan klorofil-a serta hubungannya dengan parameter perairan lainnya. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan April 2021. Lokasi pengambilan sampel ditentukan dengan metode purposive sampling sebanyak 5 stasiun. Pengambilan sampel klorofil-a dilakukan dengan teknik composite sampling, yang selanjutnya diuji dengan metode spektrofotometri. Parameter fisika dan kimia perairan yang diukur meliputi suhu, kecerahan, TSS, pH, DO, BOD, nitrat, nitrit, dan fosfat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan klorofil-a berkisar 12,733–63,457 μg/L. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka perairan Bendungan Sindang Heula memiliki status eutrofik menuju hipereutrofik, hal ini menunjukkan perairan sudah tercemar berat akibat tingginya unsur hara.

Abstract

The use of endophytic fungi as producers of bioactive compounds is popular among researchers today. One example of endophytic fungi that is currently widely studied regarding its role is DSE fungi. Determining the morphological structure and identification of DSE fungus as well as its function as a sustainable agricultural agent, are the goals of this study. Several scientific papers that are pertinent to the subject matter are gathered, chosen, and reviewed as part of the systematic literature review research methodology. Developing a research question, looking through pertinent literature, choosing studies with eligibility requirements and quality evaluation, and extracting data were the first stages of the study. Based on the data analysis, DSE fungi have the ability to increase plant productivity and resistance to biotic and abiotic stress, as well as their contribution to phytostabilization and nutrient accumulation. In addition, DSE fungi can produce beneficial secondary metabolites, such as growth hormones and bioactive compounds, which support plant health. The use of DSE fungi also has the potential to support plant growth in sustainable agriculture

Abstract

This community service activity aims to optimize the use of information and communication technology (ICT)-based learning media through campus teaching programs to improve the quality of education in remote areas. The method of implementing this service is with training which includes the stages of preparation, implementation, and evaluation of results through filling out questionnaires by teachers and students. This service partner is SMAN 1 Malingping as one of the remote school areas in Lebak district. The results of this dedication show that partners, namely teachers and students, feel the positive impact of using ICT application-based learning media in the classroom. Teachers' skills in implementing ICT-based learning media and students' motivation to learn increases. In addition, teachers have succeeded in overcoming various challenges in the learning process by optimizing the use of ICT-based learning media.
