Abstract

Indonesia menempati urutan kelima dengan penderita diabetes melitus terbanyak di dunia. Manajemen makan harus dilakukan terutama pada penderita diabetes melitus yang menggunakan obat penurun glukosa darah atau insulin. Rumput laut sango-sango atau Gracilaria sp., memiliki potensi sebagai agen antidiabetes. Pengujian aktivitas antihiperglikemik pada model hewan diperlukan sebelum implementasi pada manusia. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pemberian pakan dengan penambahan Gracilaria sp. pada tikus dengan periode yang berbeda. Tikus diberi streptozotocin (50 mg/kg bb) untuk menginduksi diabetes. Hewan dibagi dalam enam kelompok perlakuan: kontrol, kontrol diabetes, tikus diabetes diberi pakan standar dan obat metformin, tikus diabetes diberi Gracilaria sp., selama tiga minggu dan dua minggu, dan tikus normal diberi Gracilaria sp., selama empat minggu. Parameter yang digunakan adalah glukosa darah dan luas area positif ekspresi insulin. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah pemberian streptozotocin mengakibatkan keadaan diabetes pada tikus. Pakan dengan penambahan Gracilaria sp., menunjukkan potensi untuk membantu manajemen hiperglikemik. Hasil yang signifikan ditemukan pada area positif ekspresi insulin. Pemberian pakan dengan penambahan Gracilaria sp., dengan hasil terbaik diperoleh pada pakan dengan pemberian selama tiga minggu.

Abstract

Rhizophora mucronata (R. mucronata) merupakan jenis mangrove yang banyak dijumpai di Indonesia. Daun, buah dan bunga R. mucronata diketahui mengandung komponen bioaktif sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan untuk pembuatan tisane atau teh herbal. Kandungan fenol dan aktivitas antioksidan tisane dari beberapa bagian R. muconata masih belum diketahui. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan komponen kimiawi serta aktivitas antioksidan yang terkandung dalam tisane daun, bunga dan buah R. mucronata. Rancangan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan perlakuan perbedaan bagian meliputi daun, bunga dan buah dengan tiga kali ulangan. Metode penelitian meliputi karakterisasi komponen kimiawi daun, bunga dan buah, antara lain proksimat, logam berat, dan fitokimia; ekstraksi komponen bioaktif, serta analisis total fenol dan aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak R. mucronata. Ketiga bagian tanaman R. mucronata dikeringkan dengan menggunakan dehydrator suhu 50 ºC, kemudian diekstraksi dengan maserasi menggunakan air panas suhu ±100 ºC selama 1 jam untuk memperoleh bioaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daun, bunga dan buah R. mucronata memiliki kandungan logam berat dibawah standar SNI teh kering dalam kemasan dan aman untuk dikonsumsi. Ekstrak bunga memiliki aktivitas antioksidan tertinggi 55,21±5,156 mg asam askorbat/g ekstrak dan total fenol tertinggi 2,44±0,354 mg/g. Terdapat korelasi positif antara aktivitas antioksidan dan total fenol. Kandungan senyawa bioaktif pada ekstrak bunga yaitu fenol, saponin, flavonoid, tanin dan triterpenoid.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the potential of watercress extract as an antioxidant and antiproliferation against cancer cells in vitro. Cells used in this study were breast cancer culture cells (MCF-7) and vero cells. Watercress was extracted using water solvent and 70% ethanol. Phytochemical test was performed on both types of extract. Toxicity test was measured using BSLT method, assessment of antioxidant activity was measured using DPPH method and inhibitory proliferation in cancer cell was measured using MTT Assay method. Analysis of the data using ANOVA, if there is a significant difference between treatments will be followed up with Duncan test. The results of phytochemical tests showed that watercress extracts had bioactive content namely flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and steroids. The result of BSLT test showed that the strongest extract toxicity was 70% ethanol extract with LC50 value of 406.02 ppm and had the highest antioxidant activity with IC50 value of 102.26 ppm, while proliferation inhibitory test found in MCF-7 breast cancer cells had IC50 value of 1.696 μg / ml and not toxic to vero cells. Result showed that the ethanolic extract of Nasturtium Officinale gave a significant effect on MCF-7 breast cancer cells inhibition (p=0,015) at concentration 50, 400, 800 and 1000 ppm. The mechanism of proliferative inhibition was associated with phytochemical content present in watercress.

Abstract

Solving the Schrödinger equation may result in a wave function of a particle in a quantum system, which can afford the information with respect to the particle’s behavior. The Schrödinger equation is useful for examining probability density and determining a wave function of free particles. This research focuses on solving the Schrödinger equation using the Crank-Nicolson method in free particles. The Crank-Nicolson method is a method of solving partial differential equations in the form of the Schrodinger equation, this method is very stable and accurate in giving numerical results. The result indicates that probability density and the form of the wave function of free particles are identified by varying the v, N grid, and dt. When dt = 1, v = 1, and v = 2, and the N grid remains at a score of 100, we acquire the same forms of the wave function and probability density. And yet, when dt = 2, v =2, and the N grid remains at a score of 100, the form of the wave function and probability density is constricted in one area. The N grid and dt are the two most affecting factors on the three variants. Using the Crank-Nicolson method, we can determine the wave function and probability for free particles by varying the value of N grid, dt.

Abstract

This study aims to characterize the actual circumstances surrounding the oversight that school principals performed during the epidemic. Even though learning takes place at home, teachers still need to maintain administrative discipline and follow any applicable requirements when implementing the program. This study uses a qualitative methodology and is a field investigation. Snowball sampling was utilized to gather information, while interviews and observations with principals, teachers, parents, and students at senior high schools in Bengkulu City were employed as data gathering strategies. Data reduction, data presentation, and data verification were the methods employed in data analysis. The study's findings outline 14 features that the principal of the school should have in place to ensure that instructional monitoring is effective throughout the epidemic.

Abstract

Sri Purwaningsih, 2022085015: Tri-N Based Ecoprint Batik LKPD Innovation to Increase the Creative Dimension of Elementary School Students. Thesis. Yogyakarta: Basic Education Study Program, Postgraduate Directorate Education, Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University. The objectives of this study include (1) producing ecoprint batik LKPD with Tri-N-based characteristics to improve the creative dimension of elementary school students; (2) testing the feasibility of Tri-N-based ecoprint batik LKPD in improving the creative dimension of elementary school students; and (3) testing the effectiveness of Tri-N-based ecoprint batik LKPD in improving the creative dimension of elementary school students. The development research method used in this study is the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model which focuses on the development of innovative and interesting teaching materials. Data collection techniques use interviews, observations, and questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this development research use qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. The subjects of the limited trial were fourth grade students at SDN 1 Karangpoh with a total of 10 students while the extensive trial was fourth grade students at SDN Jemur with a total of 24 students. The results of this development research are (1) the production of Tri-N-based ecoprint batik LKPD products to improve the creative dimension of elementary school students. Tri-N-Based Ecoprint Batik LKPD teaching materials have niteni, niroake, nambahake activities that can attract students' attention in learning, especially in the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project; (2) the results of the product feasibility test meet the very feasible category based on the average validator percentage of 94.44%. Product validation is obtained based on the results of the assessment of the content of the material and teaching material products by two expert lecturers; and (3) the results of the effectiveness test increased from the needs analysis by 23.33% and increased to 85% in the limited trial, and increased again to 91.32% in the broad trial with very creative qualifications. The results of the questionnaire on the developed product showed very good criteria with a percentage of 96.88% for teacher responses and 96.32% for student responses. The N-Gain results of 78% in limited trials and 86% in extensive trials confirm that the developed LKPD is very effective.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are essential in physics education, particularly in understanding abstract concepts like wave functions in quantum mechanics. However, traditional teaching methods often fail to foster these skills effectively. This study explores the use of an interactive e-module titled Quantum Physics: Wave Function to enhance critical thinking skills among students in a physics education program. A quasi-experimental design was employed with an experimental group using the e-module and a control group following conventional methods. Pretest and posttest results showed a significant improvement in critical thinking skills for the experimental group (average increase: 26.30) compared to the control group (average increase: 11.70). Statistical analysis confirmed the e-module's effectiveness (t = 2.95, p = 0.01). The e-module fostered active participation, problem-solving, and independent exploration, demonstrating its potential to improve critical thinking and engagement in complex physics topics. These findings highlight the value of integrating technology into physics education to enhance learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study holds significant implications as it analyzes financial performance in predicting bankruptcy in retail sector companies before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is a part of the 3rd TKT measurement, providing a comprehensive analytical and experimental understanding. Financial performance is gauged through the Current Ratio (CR), debt-to-equity ratio (DER), and Return on Assets (ROA). The research method employed is a quantitative approach. By using the purposive sampling method, a sample of 22 companies was obtained, with 2 years of observation before the Covid-19 pandemic and 2 years during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research findings reveal that the CR and ROA variables had a positive effect on financial distress, while the DER variable did not affect financial distress. Furthermore, the study concludes that there was no difference in the potential for financial distress before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing a unique and intriguing perspective on the impact of the pandemic on the retail sector.

Abstract

Rhizophora mucronata Lamk. merupakan tumbuhan mangrove di daerah tropis, dimana buahnya biasadigunakan sebagai bahan pangan dan obat tradisional oleh masyarakat yang hidup di pantai. Tujuan daripenelitian ini adalah menentukan senyawa fi tokimia, dan aktivitas antioksidan buah R. mucronata. Prosesekstraksi menggunakan perlakuan suhu evaporasi (40, 50, 60, 70, and 80)oC. Buah R. mucronata Lamk.mengandung kadar air, abu, lemak, protein, dan karbohidrat secara berturut-turut: (31,96; 1,10; 0,86; 2,59and 63,50)%. Evaporasi pada suhu 70oC menghasilkan aktivitas antioksidan terbaik dengan nilai IC50 sebesar0,72 ppm. ekstrak tersebut mengandung fl avonoid, tanin, hidroquinon, dan saponin.Kata kunci: aktivitas antioksidan, IC50, fi tokimia, Rhizophora mucronata Lamk.

Abstract

Daun Rhizophora mucronata dimanfaatkan masyarakat pesisir sebagai obat tradisional untuk mengobatidiare. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan ekstrak daun R. mucronata dan potensinya untuk dijadikansediaan obat baru yang alami, khususnya untuk mengobati diare. Metode penelitian yang dilakukanmenggunakan uji sensitivitas antibakteri dengan metode sumur agar. Ekstrak metanol daun bakau hitammemiliki rendemen tertinggi sebesar 21,47%. Komponen aktif yang terkandung dalam ekstrak metanol danair daun R. mucronata meliputi tanin, saponin, fl avonoid, fenol hidrokuinon, dan triterpenoid, sementaraalkaloid hanya terdapat pada ekstrak metanol. Ekstrak metanol memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terbesardengan zona hambat berkisar 3-12 mm. Konsentrasi hambat minimum (KHM) ekstrak metanol daun R.mucronata sebesar 0,4 mg/mL (terhadap Escherichia coli dan Pseudomonas aeruginosa), 0,2 mg/mL (terhadapStaphylococcus aureus). Bioautografi aktivitas antibakteri terhadap bakteri uji E. coli menghasilkan fraksiaktif pada nilai Rf 0,11 dan 0,72. Hasil identifi kasi dengan pereaksi Dragendorff menunjukkan senyawatersebut termasuk senyawa alkaloid.Kata kunci: antibakteri, diare, ekstrak daun R. mucronata, KHM, komponen aktif
