Introduction: Ovitrape is one method for preventing the occurrenceof DHF. Ovitrape has been widely used in a variety of locations witha high prevalence of DHF. One of the advantages of ovitrape is that itis simple to manufacture and inexpensive. The purpose of this studyis to determine the effectiveness of video media in increasingknowledge and skills in making ovitrape. Method: This is a quasiexperimental design with a pretest-posttest format. This researchsample included 50 cadre divided into two groups, 25 groups, and 25media leaflet film media. The Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney tests areused in this study. Result : Wilcoxon test results indicated leafletsand film media effectively improve cadres' knowledge, attitude, andskills in ovitrape manufacture. The film is a more effective mediumfor improving cadres' knowledge, attitudes, and skills in themanufacture of ovitrape. Conlusion According to the researchfindings, the collaboration between the health centre and PanguluNagori Batu Anam Pamatang Simelungun District of SiantarSimalungun is necessary for inserting health education materialsabout dengue prevention through the use of film and leaflets.

Leadership is the ability to give constructive influence to others to make a cooperative effort to achieve a planned goal. Motivation is something that is strength, energy, or power, or a complex situation and preparedness is an impulse in an individual to move towards a specific goal. A nurse's motivation can also experience changes caused by factors that affect her. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the leadership of the head of nursing to the motivation of the work of the implementing nurse at the North Sumatra Lung Special Hospital. This research is an analytical survey research using the cross-sectional method. The population in this study was 53 nurses. The sampling technique used is the total population. Data analysis using univariate, bivariate analysis with Chi-Square test of Chi-Square person value to multivariate. Statistic test results with analysis there is a relationship between the leadership of a nursing head based on the soft skills of respondents ρ = 0.012 and hard skills respondents with a value of ρ = 0.004 (ρ value < 0.05) with the motivation of the work of the implementing nurse at the Lung Special Hospital North Sumatra. The test results concluded there was a significant relationship between the leadership of the head of nursing and the motivation of the work of the implementing nurse at the North Sumatra Lung Special Hospital. It is recommended to further increase the motivation of workers in order to achieve the vision and mission of the hospital and increase the sense of responsibility of nurses to the tasks carried out.

The importance of consuming fruit and vegetables is commonly neglected by the Indonesian people. Only 6.4% of adolescents at the age of 10-14 consume fruit and vegetables about 5 portions or more per day while the remaining 93.6% fewer than 5 portions. It is probably caused by their lack of knowledge and negative attitude toward it so that health promotion, using audiovisual, is needed. The research method used quasi experimental method with group pretest-posttest design. It was conducted at SMPIT AL Musabbihin and Namira Medan. The population was 58 students consisted of 28 at SMPIT Al Musabbihin and 30at SMPIT Namira. The data were analyzed by using univariate and bivariate analysis with paired-sample t-test at significance level of 95% (α=0.05).The result of statistic test showed that there was significant difference in attitude between the students at SMPIT Al Musabbihin and SMPIT Namira about the importance of consuming fruit and vegetables.The conclusion of the research is that audio visual media is more effective to change students' attitudes become more positive about the importance of vegetable and fruit consumption in SMPIT Al Musabbihin and lecturer method is effective at SMPIT Namira Medan.

Purpose: this study aims to analyze the influence of short message service reminder on knowledge of junior high school students who smoked in Pematangsiantar City. Method: the type of study is quasi experiment with a pretest-posttest design. The population was all junior high school students who smoked, and 85 of them were used as the samples. The data were analyzed by using Wilcoxon statistic test. Result: The result of this study showed that the mean value of knowledge from 1.48 to 2.36 at p-value=0.0001 which indicated that there was the influence of short message service reminder on knowledge of the junior high school students who smoked in Pematangsiantar City. Conclution: it is necessary to educated for health information exposure with continuously and sustainably as the promotive and preventive effort such as short message service reminder.

Background. North Sumatra Province is included in the top seven provinces in Indonesia with a high TB incidence rate. Prevalence of pulmonary TB based on a doctor's diagnosis history of 0.30%, Case Notification Rate (CNR) for smear pulmonary TB is 104.3 per 100,000, success rate of treatment (SR) reached 91.31 percent. The percentage of TB cure in 2017 of 82.40 percent, is considered to be lower compared in 2016 of 85.52 percent. Purpose. The purpose of study was to analyze the role of TB cadres in TB control programs in Medan City. Method. This research was an observational analytic with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all cadres in Belawan Health Center (25 cadres), Helvetia Health Center (28 cadres), Amplas Health Center (24 cadres), Glugur Darat Health Center (24 cadres) and Sering Health Centre (24 cadres) totaling 125 cadres. Result. There is an influence of knowledge, attitudes and actions of Tuberculosis cadres on the role of Tuberculosis cadres. The results of multivariate analysis of knowledge with p = 0.014, attitude with p = 0,001, actions with p = 0.010. Conclusion. Behavioral factors, namely cadre attitudes become the dominant factor influencing the role of TB cadres with p = 0.014 and Exp (B) = 14.651. Suggested to health center do coaching and training, and position cadres as partners.

Latar Belakang: Masalah rokok pada saat ini sudah menjadi masalah besar yang menyebabkan kematian di Indonesia. UU No. 44/2009 Tentang Rumah Sakit (RS) menyebutkan setiap RS mempunyai kewajiban memberlakukan seluruh lingkungan RS sebagai Kawasan Tanpa Merokok (KTR). RS Umum Daerah (RSUD) Kabanjahe telah menerapkan KTR sesuai SK direktur RS namun sejauh ini pelaksanaannya belum berhasil. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan SK Direktur RSUD Kabanjahe No. 1255 / RSU / 2016 Tentang penerapan KTR di RSUD Kabanjahun tahun 2017.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara, observasi berperan serta, dokumentasi dan triangulasi dengan sampel terdiri dari 4 orang pegawai dan 2 orang pasien RSUD Kabanjahe dan menggunakan instrumen buku catatan, tape recorder, kamera dan peneliti sebagai instrumen. Kepercayaan terhadap hasil penelitian dilakukan dengan pengujian kredibilitas, depenabilitas, proses dan hasil penelitian. Penelitian dilakukan di RSUD Kabanjahe.Hasil Penelitian: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan KTR di RSUD Kabanjahe belum berjalan dengan baik walaupun telah dilaksanakan selama delapan tahun. Hal ini dikarenakan beberapa factor penghambat seperti Direktur RS dan jajarannya masih merokok, tidak ada perda yang mengatur tentang KTR, tidak adanya komitmen Direktur dalam menjatuhkan sanksi dan membentuk komite pengawas KTR.Kesimpulan: Penerapan KTR di RSUD Kabanjahe belum sesuai dengan SK Direktur atau belum berhasil. Pimpinan rumah sakit diharapkan dapat meningkatkan disposisi, dan struktur birokrasi dalam mendukung kebijakan KTR.

This study aims to analyze of effect of knowledge, attitude, and motivation on performance of village midwives in Deli Serdang Regency. This study uses quantitative research methods of analytic research using cross sectional research design. The population in this study is village midwives who served in 3 Public Health Centers in Deli Serdang Regency, Araskabu Public Health Center as many as 6 people, Pagar Merbau Public Health Center as many as 14 people, and Galang Public Health Center as many as 20 people, then the population totaling 40 people. This research sample uses a total sampling method of 40 people. Data analysis in this study uses bivariate analysis. The results show that there is effect knowledge on performance of village midwives in Deli Serdang Regency. There is effect attitude on performance of village midwives in Deli Serdang Regency. There is effect motivation on performance of village midwives in Deli Serdang Regency.

Background: The current low level of prevention of COVID-19 is one of the severe problems in Indonesia. Healthy and Clean-Living Behavior or PHBS (Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat) program and sanitation access are some things that can be done in terms of prevention during a pandemic. New Tiban Village ranks 3rd with the highest number of COVID-19 cases in Batam City. Objective: This study aims to determine whether there was a relationship between implementing the Healthy and Clean-Living Behavior program and toilet access on the incidence of COVID-19 in New Tiban Village, Batam City, Indonesia. Methods: A quantitative analytic observational study with a total sample of 115 families. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. The acquired data were analyzed with chi-square analysis using SPSS as the tool. Results: The results showed a significant relationship between the application of the Healthy and Clean-Living Behavior program towards COVID-19 cases p = 0.006. There was an effective relationship between toilet access towards COVID-19 cases p = 0.000. Conclusion: In this study, there was a significant relationship between applying the Healthy and Clean-Living Behavior program and toilet access toward COVID-19 with a value of α < 0.05. Recommendations for the community include always carrying out health protocols by maintaining distances and always washing hands using running water and soap after activities outside the home.

Keperawatan adalah salah satu profesi di rumah sakit yang berperan penting dalam upaya menjaga mutu pelayanan kesehatan di rumah sakit. Penurunan kinerja perawat akan mempengaruhi mutu pelayanan kesehatan. Pengukuran kinerja perawat berdasarkan standar asuhan keperawatan di RS Raskita menunjukkan kinerja yang masih rendah. Selain asuhan keperawatan yang belum mencapai standar yang ditetapkan Depkes RI, motivasi serta disiplin kerja juga masih kurang baik. Penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh karakteristik individu dan motivasi terhadap kinerja perawat di ruang rawat inap RS Raskita . Jenis Penelitian bersifat analitik dengan tipe explanatory research. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh perawat yang bertugas di ruang rawat inap RS Raskita yang berjumlah 61 orang dan keseluruhannya dijadikan sampel penelitian. Data diperoleh dengan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner, dan dianalisis dengan regresi logistik berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lama bekerja, motif berprestasi, motif berafiliasi dan motif berkuasa secara statistik berpengaruh terhadap kinerja perawat di ruang rawat inap RS Raskita dengan variabel dominannya adalah motif berprestasi. Perlu peningkatan pengawasan serta memberikan pengarahan kepada perawat yang bekerja di ruang rawat inap RS, dan pemberian pendidikan dan pelatihan berkaitan dengan peningkatan motivasi, khususnya motivasi untuk berprestasi, sehingga meningkatkan kinerja perawat di ruang rawat inap. Selain itu pihak RS Raskita agar dalam proses perekrutan pegawai tidak hanya dipilih pegawai yang memiliki kemampuan yang baik, tetapi juga bersedia bekerja di satu tempat saja.

One of the nutritional problems experienced by children in Indonesia is stunting. Stunting itself is a condition of poor child growth and development. The researcher aims to explore the driving factors and inhibitors of stunting parenting behavior in Padang Lawas Regency. The type of research used in the study was qualitative research with a descriptive phenomenological approach. This research was conducted at three health centers: Sibuhuan Health Center, Tanjung Botung Health Center, and Ujung Batu Health Center in July 2022-January 2023. In this study, the number of participants was ten people consisting of mothers, community leaders, and regional heads. The data analysis in this study was carried out by content analysis immediately after each interview process, namely at the same time as the data transcript was made. The results of interviews about mothers' knowledge in fulfilling children's nutrition found that the majority of mothers have good knowledge in fulfilling nutrition in general, where mothers know about the definition of exclusive breast milk and its benefits, know the right time to give complementary foods for breast milk and the types of foods that must be present in the child's plate in fulfilling their nutrition. This study concludes that positive parenting behavior occurs when there is a driving force for positive behavior; the driving factors found in this study are knowledge, access to information, and support from health workers. At the same time, the mother's parenting behavior is negative if there are restraining forces that prevent her from positive behavior. It is recommended to the Ujung Batu, Tanjung Botung and Sibuhuan Community Health Centers to provide health education on exclusive breastfeeding and appropriate complementary foods for toddlers and to collaborate with cross-sectors in preventing stunting through changing behavior in fulfilling child nutrition.
