Abstract

Writing is one of the most important skills that have to be mastered in the art of language learning. In the university level, EFL students have essay writing subject that requires them to write many types of essay, among those being the argumentative essay. In writing an essay, they need to be able to develop their own original ideas, despite the fact that some of them still consider this a difficult task. This research is aimed to highlight set of difficulties encountered by students that are assigned to develop ideas whilst writing argumentative essay. This research was conducted at Pakuan University and involved 23 students as participant of this study. Qualitative method and descriptive analysis are applied in conducting this research. To gain the research data, three research instruments were used, they are: documentation, questionnaire and interview. Documentation instrument was used to analyze students work of argumentative essay. The questionnaire was administered to all participants and the interview was conducted once for each student. This study reveals that the students still have some difficulties in constructing thesis statement, organizing paragraph, making writing coherent and combining ideas in correct sentences. Finally, the result of this research may urge the students to improve their writing skills and provide the teachers to explore more on teaching writing practices.

Abstract

Reading is a process that aims to find or dig information from a text. The problem faced by students is their weak ability to get information or extract information from a text. This is caused by the low vocabulary understood by students, causing students to have difficulty understanding reading texts, especially in finding main ideas and specific information. Therefore, an effort is needed to explore the potential possessed by each student. This effort can be done in various ways, such as applying the Genre Based Approach and using the REDW (Read-Examine-Decide-Write) strategy during the learning process in class in an effort to improve students' skills in understanding reading texts. This research was conducted on students of SMAN 6 Bogor class X IPS 2, totaling 33 students. In this study, the researcher used the Kemmis Mc.Taggart PTK method, which in its research flow included planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The researcher gave pre-tests, treatments and post-tests to the research samples. Based on the results of research on the application of the Genre Based Approach and the REDW strategy in the English subject, Report Text material in class X IPS 2 can improve learning outcomes, especially in reading report text skills. In the pra-siklus activities of 21 students there was 1 (0.5%) student who achieved KKM with an average grade of 49, siklus I increased to 7 (33%) students with an average grade of 66 and in siklus II increased to 13 (65%) students who scored above the KKM with an average grade of 78.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze models of the Arabic language environment formation to increase the ability of language learners in Al Qodiri Islamic Senior High School 1 Jember. This research method was qualitative. The research was conducted at Al Qodiri Islamic Senior High School 1 Jember. Research respondents were 245 students of boarding Islamic Senior High School that consisted of 170 females and 73 males. The data collection method used participant observation instruments and interviews. Both of these instruments were used to get data about the models of the Arabic language environment formation to increase the language skills of students in Islamic Senior High School. Steps of Data analysis techniques were collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and making a conclusion. The results showed that the model of the formation of the Arabic language environment consisted of the visual environment, audio environment, and the audiovisual environment. This model was able to overcome the difficulties of students in acquiring Arabic. This model of the Arabic language environment provides direct and natural Arabic mastery. Qualitative analysis results showed that the Arabic environment was able to increase students’ language skills of Al Qodiri Islamic Senior High School 1 Jember.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the types of plants and the Important Value Index in the Pangasi River Watershed (DAS) in the Pangi Binangga Nature Reserve. The method used in collecting data is the plot method or checkered path method with four growth levels, namely seedlings (20 m × 20 m), saplings (10 m × 10 m), poles (5 m × 5 m) and trees (2 m × 2 m). Data analysis used the Importance Value Index (INP), a method commonly used in ecological studies. INP analysis includes several parameters, namely relative density, relative frequency, and relative dominance. The results of field identification found 532 individuals with 19 species. Vegetation Analysis Results: Important Value Index at tree level is dominated by Bayur (Pterospermum spp), the pillar level is dominated by Ebony (Diospyros celebica bakh), at the stake level dominated by Pangi/Kepayang (Pangium to success) and at the pillar level dominated by Nyatoh (Palaquium obtusifolium). Results of INP calculations at tree, pole, sapling and seedling levels. In general, of the four growth levels, Nyatoh (Palaquium obtusifolium) is the most dominant plant in the Pangasi River Basin.

Abstract

Hasil hutan bukan kayu adalah hasil hutan hayati baik nabati maupun hewani beserta produk turunannya, salah satu diantaranya adalah nira aren yang dapat diolah menjadi gula aren. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui besarnya biaya produksi, penerimaan, pendapatan dan keuntungan usaha gula aren, serta besarnya Break Even Point (BEP) produksi serta Break Even Point (BEP) harga pada usaha gula aren di Desa Matolele, Parigi Tengah, Kabupaten Parigi Moutong. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah Break Event Point dan Margin of safety. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata produksi gula aren per bulan adalah 248 kg dengan harga jual Rp 17.000/kg, menghasilkan pendapatan rata-rata Rp 2.015.800/bulan. Analisis Break Event Point menunjukkan titik impas produksi sebesar 100,91 kg atau Rp 1.715.611/bulan. Margin of Safety mencapai 98%, Artinya selama penjualan tidak menurun lebih dari 98 % atau sampai dengan 98 % dari tingkat penjualan yang diharapkan, maka usaha gula aren pada bulan januari sampai desember 2023 akan memperoleh laba.Temuan ini memberikan wawasan bagi pengrajin gula aren untuk meningkatkan efisiensi produksi dan memaksimalkan keuntungan.

Abstract

In 2016, President Joko Widodo through the Ministry of National Development Planning gave the task of compiling a golden Indonesia Vision in 2045. The contains of vision are blue print and an ideal pictures that the Indonesia needs to achieve in 2045. Pesantren as one of the education providers need to respond to the discourse as a contribution between Pesantren and the government to succes the vision. Pesantren as human resources printers need to know the challenges and strategies, especially in that year 51% of Indonesia's population was of productive age or demographic bonus. This paper writes about the role and challenges of pesantren in facing the demographic bonus in the future. The data is written in analytical descriptive. The gap between educational institutions in Indonesia, especially Pesantren is getting fresh from the ratification of Presidential Decree No. 02 of 2021 concerning Pesantren funding.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskipsikan pengalaman sukses guru dalam melaksanakan pendidikan untuk siswa dengan hambatan penglihatan (low vision) di sekolah inklusif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode naratif inquiri. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu sekolah dasar umum di DKI Jakarta yang memiliki satu siswa dengan hambatan penglihatan (low vision). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam kepada guru pendidikan khusus (GPK) yang telah bekerja di sekolah tersebut selama 15 tahun. Ada tiga fokus utama yang diteliti, yaitu pengelolaan pembelajaran di kelas, penggunaan media pembelajaran, dan penilaian hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pendidikan inklusif untuk siswa low vision sudah cukup baik, baik dari segi media pembelajaran, proses kegiatan belajar mengajar, cara pemberian materi dari guru kepada siswa, dan evaluasi pembelajaran yang dilakukan.Kata Kunci : pendidikan inklusif, low vision AbstractThis study aims to describe the successful experiences of teachers in implementing education for students with low vision in inclusive schools. This study uses a qualitative approach with a narrative inquiry method. This study was conducted at one of the public elementary schools in DKI Jakarta which has one student with low vision. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with special education teachers / guru pendamping khusus (GPK) who had worked at the school for 15 years. There are three main focuses that are studied, namely the management of learning in the classroom, the use of instructional media, and the assessment of learning outcomes. The results showed that the implementation of inclusive education for low vision students was good enough, in terms of instructional media, the process of teaching and learning activities, how to provide material from teachers to students, and evaluation of learning conducted.Keywords : inclusive education, low vision

Abstract

Banyaknya Masyarakat Desa Temanggung yang menjadi petani menjadi salah satu alasan berdirinya Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Sari Asri. Pendirian KWT Sari Asri ini merupakan salah satu bentuk dari keterlibatan perempuan dalam pengelolaan dunia pertanian. Salah satu produk yang dihasilkan KWT Sari Asri adalah produk olahan makanan ringan dari hasil pertanian. Akan tetapi produk yang dihasilkan masih dijual dilingkup desa, padahal produk yang dihasilkan telah memiliki kualitas yang memadai. Dengan demikian aspek pemasaran masih masalah utama yang dihadapi oleh KWT Sari Asri. Dari sisi pemasaran, KWT Sari Asri belum memiliki logo yang menjadi brand dari produk yang dihasilkan. Pengabdian ini dilakukan di Desa Temanggung Kecamatan Kaliangkrik dilaksanakan selama 30 hari. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang terdiri dari empat tahapan yang harus dilaksanakan yaitu inquiry, action, reflection, dan inquiry. Pengabdian yang dilakukan memberikan dampak positif bagi KWT Sari Asri dalam melakukan pemasaran. Pada saat ini KWT Sari Asri tidak lagi menggunakan pemasaran tradisional berupa komunikasi dari mulut kemulut saja, namun telah memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai strategi pemasaran. Selain memberikan pelatihan pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai sarana pemasaran pembuatan merek juga membantu KWT Sari Asri dalam memperkenalkan produk yang dihasilkan kepada Masyarakat luas.

Abstract

Temperature is important parameter in many technological and scientific applications. Accurate temperature measurement is needed to monitor and control various processes, including in industry, agriculture, and in other system settings. There are several temperature sensors that can be used in measuring and monitoring microcontroller-based temperatures, for example DS18B20, DHT11, DHT22, LM35, SHT40, each of these sensors has advantages and disadvantages. In this study, we will discuss testing of two types of sensors, namely DHT11 and DS18B20. The performance of the two sensors will be tested, value of accuracy and the level of error in reading compared to tools commonly used in measuring temperature in the server room. The method used in this study is an experimental approach to compare the performance of the DHT11 and DS18B20 temperature sensors. The experimental approach allows us to perform tests and measurements directly on both sensors to obtain objective and accurate data. From the results of testing the temperature in the server room using the DHT11, DS18B20 sensors and compared with the Fluke 179 True-RMS Digital Multimeter, 10 trials were carried out, showing an average error value of 3.37 for the DHT11 sensor and 1.17 for the DS18B20 sensor. for the accuracy value of 96.63% for the DHT11 sensor and 98.83 for the DS18B20 sensor.

Abstract

Pada era perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang begitu pesat saat ini, guru matematika diharapkan bisa mengintegrasikan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dalam pembelajaran mereka. Untuk bisa mengintegrasikan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dalam pembelajaran matematika, guru matematika perlu memahami dan memiliki kemampuan Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah secara mendalam TPACK guru matematika SMP dalam pembelajaran matematika materi luas permukaan kerucut.Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik analisis observasi. Analisis observasi dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada proses menganalisis   data   yang   diperoleh   melalui observasi langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru sudah memiliki Content Knowledge (CK), Pedagogical Knowledge (PK), dan Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) dengan baik, namun pada Technological Knowledge (TK), Technological Content Knowledge (TCK), Technological Pedagogical Knowledge (TPK), dan TPACK terlihat bahwa guru masih kurang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru belum dapat mengintegrasikan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi pada pembelajaran matematikanya dikarenakan TPACK yang dimiliki guru belum mumpuni terutama pada komponen TK, TCK, dan TPK. Banyak faktor yang memungkinkan hal tersebut terjadi, salah satunya adalah dukungan sarana dan prasarana penunjang pembelajaran seperti tersedianya perangkat teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian lebih lanjut sangat disarankan untuk dilakukan di masa mendatang.
