Abstract

Human resources' capacity and competence greatly determine a nation's competitiveness and ability to compete. The performance of its human resources greatly influences organizational performance. The competitiveness of a country is greatly influenced by the quality and performance of its population. Realizing the importance of the quality of human resources, educational institutions, especially schools and teachers, have a crucial role in preparing students as assets and future successors of the nation. This study uses a qualitative methodology, including interviews, observations, literature analysis, and previous research. The main focus of this study is to investigate educators or teachers in Indonesian schools with similar variables and objects. The unit of analysis in this study involved teachers working in five major cities in Indonesia, while the observation unit included principals, students, and parents of students. A correlation exists between implementing quality management, transformational leadership style and educator performance. Based on the results of interviews, observations, studies of literature and previous studies, implementing quality management that runs well and a transformational leadership style positively affects teacher performance. Suppose schools can design a quality management system and implement a good quality assurance process, where the quality assurance process focuses on administrative and quality processes in academic activities such as learning and teaching. In that case, it will certainly have an impact on teacher performance.

Abstract

The background to this research is the minimal use of learning media, which makes learning tend to be monotonous, resulting in low student learning outcomes, especially in science and science subjects, material on economic activity processes. The aim of this research is to develop picture story-based learning media to improve the learning outcomes of class V students at SDIT Persada Bayat. This type of research is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which has stages of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The analysis techniques used are descriptive statistics, t-test and N-gain. Based on the results of material and language expert validation, the average percentage was 84.09% (very feasible), media expert validation was 91.67% (very feasible), and practitioner expert validation was 75% (decent). The practicality of the media from the student response questionnaire received an average percentage of 93.75% (very practical). Student learning achievement test scores experienced a significant increase with an average N-gain score percentage of 66.89% (quite effective). The results of this development research show that picture story-based learning media is feasible, practical and quite effective.

Abstract

This research is caused by online learning conducted by public elementary school in suburban areas. Online learning is carried out because the “Covid-19” virus outbreak has become a disaster in the world of education. Online learning requires several facilities such as an internet signal and a smartphone. This facility becomes a problem if an area experiences internet problems. This research is a qualitative descriptive study of phenomenology. The subjects in this study were teachers, parents, and fourth grade students. Data collection used is interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis used was data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing.The results of this study indicate that the implementation of online learning in grade IV public elementary school in suburban areas during the “Covid-19” pandemic was shown based on input, process, and output indicators. This can be seen from the input indicator, namely the application of teacher characteristics, namely motivation, fostering enthusiasm, and mastering technology, communication. The learning facilities used by students include cellphones/smartphones, internet networks, and the cost of buying internet data packages. Process indicators are related to the allocation of teacher time, namely managing time effectively. The application of time allocation for students is to take advantage of time tolerance in completing tasks. The output indicator is related to student learning outcomes. The application of changes in student attitudes is to be more motivating, disciplining, and timely in submitting assignments.

Abstract

This study analyses the influence of learning models, cognitive abilities, and facilities on students' academic achievement. Improving student learning outcomes heavily depends on the learning model used in the teaching and learning process. Both internal and external factors influence academic achievement. Internal aspects include students' cognitive capacity, while external factors include the availability of facilities. Students' cognitive capacities contribute to their understanding and application of the concepts taught, and selecting an appropriate learning model can enhance the efficacy of the learning process. Conversely, a better learning environment is supported by sufficient facilities. This study used a quantitative methodology based on survey research. Questionnaires distributed in senior high schools were used to gather data. In particular, the study found that student's academic achievement improved when they were more actively involved in and understood the content through technology-based learning models that were interactive and centred around technology. Compared to pupils with lower cognitive abilities, those with higher cognitive abilities tend to do better in school. Comfortable classrooms, access to technology, and sufficient teaching materials are all examples of full and high-quality learning facilities that positively affect student learning results. Using multiple linear regression analysis, we find that all three factors, the learning model in particular, contribute significantly to students' performance in the classroom. These results show that to raise the bar for education, we must enhance learning strategies, help students hone their cognitive capacities, and build better classrooms.

Abstract

Guru seharusnya dihormati karena guru memiliki kepedulian terhadap keberhasilan pembelajaran di sekolah. Pendidikan yang dilakukan di sekolah berkaitan dengan era globalisasi. Guru yang bekerja secara profesional masih diperlukan kemampuannya dalam menata segala aspek kehidupan di masyarakat. Namun ada berbagai masalah yang dihadapi guru di Indonesia. Guru sekolah dasar yang memiliki ijazah sarjana masih sedikit di Indonesia. Guru didistribusikan di Indonesia kurang merata. Kesejahteraan guru yang bekerja di Indonesia masih memprihatinkan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara mencari berbagai bahan pustaka. Upaya pemerintah untuk meningkatkan guru profesional dilakukan dengan cara pemberian ijin perkuliahan melalui pendidikan tinggi. Upaya peningkatan guru profesional juga dilakukan pemerintah melalui kegiatan misalnya seminar, pelatihan, dan program sertifikasi guru. Upaya pemerintah untuk meningkatkan guru profesional dilakukan dengan cara pemberian UKG (Ujian Kompetensi Guru). Upaya pemerintah untuk meningkatkan guru profesional dilakukan melalui kegiatan yang dilembagakan misalnya PKG (Pusat Kegiatan guru) dan KKG (Kelompok Kerja Guru). Upaya pemerintah untuk meningkatkan guru profesional dilakukan melalui kegiatan sistem zonasi.

Abstract

Penilaian autentik pembelajaran tidak bisa dilakukan secara instan. Guru seringkali me-nyepelekan penilaian autentik yang mencakup semua ranah pengetahuan, sikap dan ket-erampilan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pembahasan pembahasan dan memperjelas jenis penilaian autentik dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Peneliti menggunakan metode library research. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi tahap reduksi data, tampilan data, dan verifikasi data. Penilaian menjadi salah satu faktor yang menentukan keberhasilan proses dan hasil pembelajaran, bukan hanya se-bagai cara untuk menilai keberhasilan peserta didik. Penilaian autentik menjadi salah sa-tu cara yang digunakan oleh pendidik dalam mengukur kemampuan peserta didik dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Jenis penilaian autentik yang sering digunakan yaitu penilaian kinerja, penilaian tertulis, penilaian proyek, dan penilaian portofolio.

Abstract

Pembicaraan soal pemerintah yang mengusulkan pembelajaran coding masuk dalam kurikulum pendidikan sekolah dasar (SD) telah menyebabkan pro dan kontra. Banyak perusahaan teknologi besar mencari individu yang memiliki kemampuan coding  atau pemrograman. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi belajar coding. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan. Data dikumpulkan dengan mengumpulkan berbagai artikel penelitian. Analisis data menggunakan model dari Huberman yang meliputi tahap reduksi data, tampilan data, dan verifikasi data. Penerapan pembelajaran coding yang dilakukan siswa di sekolah dasar akan mendukung perkembangan digital di bidang pendidikan. Coding untuk anak-anak adalah konsep di mana anak-anak belajar membuat program yang dapat beroperasi di komputer. Faktor lain yang mempengaruhi pembelajaran coding karena coding dapat meningkatkan kecerdasan berpikir bagi siswa sekolah dasar. Strategi belajar coding adalah pelatihan, membuat animasi, dan bermain game. Selain itu, strategi belajar coding dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan aplikasi software secara online.

Abstract

Peningkatan kinerja guru menjadi langkah strategis untuk membentuk generasi yang tangguh dan mampu bersaing secara global. Dalam konteks pembangunan bangsa, guru dengan kinerja tinggi adalah aset yang sangat berharga. Perhatian terhadap peningkatan kinerja guru tidak hanya menjadi tugas pribadi, melainkan tanggung jawab bersama seluruh elemen bangsa. Tanpa guru yang profesional, berdedikasi, dan berprestasi, cita-cita meningkatkan mutu pendidikan akan sulit tercapai. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan tujuan untuk menggambarkan dan memahami secara mendalam bagaimana adaptabilitas emosional, sistem penjaminan mutu sekolah, serta penerapan gamifikasi memengaruhi kinerja guru. Sebanyak 30 informan, yang terdiri dari guru dan kepala sekolah dari berbagai jenjang pendidikan, dipilih secara purposive. Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan seluruh variabel adaptabilitas emosional, sistem penjaminan mutu dan penerapan gamifikasi dalam proses pembelajaran memberikan dampak terhadap kinerja guru. Manajemen sekolah perlu memberikan dukungan menyeluruh baik dalam aspek pengembangan kompetensi emosional guru, penguatan sistem mutu, maupun penyediaan pelatihan dan fasilitas yang mendorong inovasi pembelajaran.

Abstract

Listening ability is one of the basic skills that must be mastered by elementary school students in learning Indonesian. However, in reality, students' listening ability is still relatively low. This article aims to examine various learning strategies and media used to improve elementary school students' listening skills through literature studies. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a literature review from various scientific sources. The results of the study show that learning media such as storytelling pictures, digital storytelling, wayang cerita and audio-visual media can significantly increase students' interest, understanding, and active participation in listening activities. The application of appropriate and innovative media has a positive impact on improving listening skills and supporting the achievement of Indonesian language learning objectives at the elementary level.
